ok.

I was thinking about how to find higher quality music myself, and i was recently looking to FLAC files of music but the highest I've found legally is CD quality, have you looked elsewhere for Animals in higher than CD quality?

I got a copy on Discogs years ago, it's not that difficult.

Can someone explain to me what they like about this album.

Ive just been going to all the record stores in my area and not a single one has it.

I like songs are long so thats a plus and the concept behind it is great in my opinion.

I like the guitar tone
A lot
It's not my tone (when I play), even if it was I couldn't play like Gilmour. But the sound and the playing is just spectacular to me.
I also put this album on whenever i get a migraine. It helps.

look in your dad's basement shitmeat

please be bait, i refuse to believe that Sup Forums has fallen this far

Coldest trip put to music. Guitar solos longer than should legally be allowed. Waters divvys up the human race into Pigs, Sheep and admits he's a dog. All perfectly bookended by Pigs on the Wing I & II.

It's just so esoteric in music and concept that it becomes amazing. Hearing these bitter, seething, paranoid lyrics come across so directly in the form of lengthy, surreal prog opuses is actually a really strange experience. The album also has a really abstract and moody atmosphere, and you can get lost in it and then get hit with these lyrics about how fucked up everyone is comparing them to animals. Also this album came out in 1977 when most of the best prog acts of the early 70's had stagnated, and this one perfectly blends prog with the bitter attitude of punk in the late 70's.

I just sold my whole collection on Ebay for like $140. I would have cut you a deal user but it's too lat enow.

I actually think AMLoR is the hardest to find on vinyl. I believe it was the first to be originally released on digital CD, and the band doesn't seem to like it as much as Division Bell.

It had like a gazillion represses. Did you even check discogs? It goes for literal dirt.

I got it on a secondhand market for €5

Yeah, good thing it was originally mastered digitally.

Ignant.

Stoned...
stoned... stoned...
stoned...
stoned...

I have the album pressed in Japan from 77 and it's also digitally on my computer at 24/192 FLAC

If I can find an original canadian pressing of Saucerful of secrets for $8 I think you can find Animals.

animals sucks

You will user I found an original german pressing in nm condition in my shithole of country so you will

I found a nm one in my shitty country too.

It feels like a natural progression of Wish You Were Here, with longer songs, an interesting concept, more incredible Gilmour guitar work and Waters miraculously writing non-political lyrics. Personally I prefer The Wall, but it's an amazing album.

Really? I'm in luck then.

My family is full of pink floyd fans myself included
I remember being 14 and one of my uncles showing me a copy of animals on vinyl, minus the actual record saying that they played it so much that the record juts wouldn't work anymore

Well next year is its 40th. Hope another press

You're just not looking hard enough.
