Brazil has 5 world cups, whereas USA has 3. But Brazil won 3 of those during the 50s, 60s and 70s which barely count today. USA won their 3 in 91, 99 and 2015. World cups won before 1990 should only count as half. So in fact, Brazil have 3.5 world cups, and USA have 3. It's close, definitely not undisputed.
