All other unicode UTF-8 files in .rars/zips are all displayed/unzipped properly on my system and as far as I can tell from a quick web search UTF-8 was supported in even earlier versions of my software.

I don't think it's an issue with my setup.

I use DejaVu Sans since it has a very wide unicode coverage outside of japanese characters and it is also pretty.

Memorize the parts they're made out of first (radicals), then just get memorizing the kanji themselves.

DJT received special permission to be on Sup Forums in the first place since it's not anime or manga. Mods therefore are not forced to permanently patrol them and moderate the community like they would with on-topic threads. DJT overstepped the mods' tolerance for shitposting after 4 years and so it went. Stop being so entitled.
