Life in Transylvania

I've taken a teaching job at an English-language school in Transylvania.

I can only speak English and Spanish.

What am I in for?

how does it even work? here to teach a language you have to be a certified teacher with a pedagogical studies diploma

>going to a region located in romania who is filled of hungarians
Do they know english atleast?

>Spanish
Flag checks out

I'm a certified teacher in the United States and Spain.

I applied for the position and had an interview over Skype.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. The school I'll be teaching in is English-speaking, but I don't know if people outside of the school will speak it.

Nah, backwater countries will let any native English speaker with any degree teach there.

It's normally SE Asia or China, though. I think OP has fallen for an organ trafficking scam.

If I have indeed fallen for an organ trafficking scam, then those dirty gypsies will be very disappointed.

Which town?

Cluj-Napoca

memetown

I know it's the largest city in Transylvania and the second largest in Romania, but what makes it a memetown?

belongs to germans

Been three a few years ago, the historic, Hungarian-built core of the city is beautiful but a bit run down, and the Romanians' obsession with leaving up old power lines makes the impression even worse. Outside of that it's just a huge beehive of commie blocks.

Stay away from brown people. Don't even look at them.

How about crime?

Could I safely walk around town without fear someone may try to pick-pocket my phone?

I know I did, the gypsy presence wasn't especially noticeable, I think you'll be alright lad.

Thank you.

Now the only thing I'm concerned with is the language barrier.

I don't think I can learn Romanian from here to January.

Romanian's not that complicated, especially if you speak Spanish. It's a Romance language.

You'll get to fuck easy

I hope u find a pretty gyppo gf

I certainly hope so.

its a college city so the youth speaks english pretty well

>Could I safely walk around town without fear someone may try to pick-pocket my phone?
No man. We literally have the lowest violent crime rate in Europe and gypsies only beg from you..so chill.

You should. just to get a fair opinion. I bet you will like it here.

i live around romanians and trust me i dont want to visit your "country"

Its the scum and gypsies who usually emigrate...just like it was the Sicilians who left and fucked up America in the 30's not north Italians. Trust me things are way different here, come and see.

no mate, not all are gypsies

Ok dude :)

TRANSYLVANIA MENTIONED

Brăila>>>>>>rest of romania>>>>>Galați

Yiung people do speak some English (at least) but the old ones generally don't.

You live there? Did you ever met Edward Cullen?
He's so shiny, he's my favorite vampire.

It's the wild east, shot it before it get's civilized.
