>my face when people actually think the team with the best defense and a top 10 offense in the country will miss the playoffs next season
>Brandon Peters (objectively and statistically the best QB in the 2016 recruiting class, it isn't even debatable)
>Ty Isaac (best RB in the game who will be 100% healthy, unlike the entirety of last year. he will put up 1200+YDs/10+TDs/5.0YPC)
>Jake Butt (a top 3 TE already going into this season, 1000+YDs/7+TDs)
>Sean McKeon (literally a Jake Butt-clone)
>Amara Darboh (top 10 WR, 900+YDs/5+TDs)
>Jabril Peppers (a black guy trapped in a black's body, one of the smartest players in football, elite measurables, incredible upside)
>Kareem Walker (one of the fastest and most explosive players in football)
>Joe Beneducci (best blocking FB in country)
>Best pass rush in the B1G
>Best LB corp in the B1G
>Besy secondary in the country
>Top 5 D-Line
Barring major injuries to key players, there is literally no way the Wolverines are missing the playoffs this season
The Michigan B1G championship drought ends in 2016-2017

some of them are agreed upon by espee. like i said if you have a gud one, just add on to it
I dunno, I'd say find the rough location of every SBC team and put the words "Literally Who?"
USC has ua couple nicknames around here, my favorite is Uppity Spoiled Children
U$C is shorter though, and "the broken condoms" is catchier
Just draw an outline of where they're kinda located and in the middle put "Here Be Dragons"
G- go gators...
Yay...
well yeah, the PAC cares about academics too, but by that standard there really isn't any good realistic options left within the region that they can get. so it was just something fun to think about, cause I had never heard much about colorado rivalries outside of the Big XII.
I had heard that about Air Force too, which is a bit of a buzzkiller, but things could still change 20 years from now. Same with BYU. Hell, it might be even sooner depending on how the financial landscape of college football changes, because if huge dominoes start falling in major realignment, then some schools will tend to consider options that they normally wouldn't when things are more stable. from what I heard before, the other californian schools were willing to negotiate and strike out some sort of deal with BYU, it was only berkeley that was taking the hardline stance based on "muh principles". That could change if the money starts talking, expansion is needed before they get left behind, and options are scarce and dwindling.
not that that's the case now, but the future is always uncertain.
Here's a list of all the realistic expansion targets for the PAC:
Thank you for your time.
...
The Pac-12 needs to add a school in Nevada, it's map bugs me almost as much as having WVU in the Big XII. Maybe add teams from Idaho and New Mexico too.
This, pretty much. The only way the Pac-12 expands now is if they get the Texas and Oklahoma schools and jump to 16. It could definitely happen, but I don't see it as terribly likely.
Rock Cock
if they wanted to get OU, would they really have to take Diet Oke too? I've been hearing conflicting things from people about that situation and it all sounds like hearsay and personal interpretation. I roughly know a bit of the legal situation more or less and it doesn't sound binding, but I wonder if they could still put a stop to any deal regardless, if that deal involved OU being able to jump to another P5 and OSU got booted down to some shittier one cause nobody wanted them. I hear it's not a carbon copy of the situation with the kansas schools, either.
>I had never heard much about colorado rivalries outside of the Big XII.
That's because there weren't really rivalries outside the Big 8/12. Nebraska was always the big rival. Before joining the Pac in 2011 Utah and Colorado hadn't played each other since like the 1960s. There's also Colorado State, but that's only been an annual game for ~20 years and the series is supposed to end (as an annual game, anyway) in a few years. It's a lot bigger now than when I was a kid, but in the Big 8 days CU saw that one in terms of importance kind of like how Oklahoma saw Oklahoma State back when Nebraska and Texas were both annual games. Basically, they're rivals and it's the big game for the little brother school, but the larger/more successful school saw it as something of an afterthought compared to their "big" rivalries.
Want some of this dick?
Fixed that for you fizzam
No the state legislature would force them to accept OK St. as a part of the deal.
The same goes for Texas tech and Texas.
It's the reason why they tried to move all 4 into the PAC years ago.
If you want Oklahoma or Texas you take Tech or OK St too. The state governments aren't letting their schools get demolished when its already been proven OU and presumably Texas can get into the CFP with a shit big 12.
Jaycock?
They're not tied at the hip through the legislature or anything like that, although the state would probably be pissed if they split up under circumstances other than necessity (i.e. it's apparent the Big 12 isn't long for this world and Oklahoma has a life raft that Okie Lite doesn't). They also kind of have a mentality of they have each other's backs. They're both state-funded schools, but they're entirely different systems and completely independent of each other, so their sticking together isn't mandated by anyone or anything, it's more of a gentlemens' agreement than any firm requirement.
>tfw this year is the year
>implying rich people use condoms
Uppity Spoiled Children or University of Spoiled Children is the preferred nomenclature.
I heard it was the other way around with texas, the PAC was more than willing to take texas and let them KEEP the LHN too, so long as they turned it into one of their PAC Regional Networks and shared its coverage and revenue equally with its local partner like the other PAC schools did, in this case Tech. that was apparently the deal killer for UT though because they weren't willing to share with anybody.
as far as the oklahoma schools go, I had looked up some stuff from their beat writers trying to explain the exact legal situation involved, it was a while back but it sounded far less legally binding than people make it sound. apparently there's like this administration or something separate from the board of regents, made up of guys who happen to be officials from both schools, but it has no power to impose anything on anyone. it sounded very weird and confusing, and all I could take from it is that saying that OU and OSU are a package deal is a combination of wishful thinking and trying to create leverage for OSU should any deal be on the table.
however, if it means the big xii will sink either way and there's an offer for OU to get out but not OSU, supposedly they'd let it go through. so it all depends on the stakes, apparently.
>supposing the Big 12 do this or that
The last major conference with this much fuckery was the old Big East, they finally had to collapse, clean house, and re-brand themselves. If the Big 12 doesn't get their shit together (or get a team into the playoff this season), they absolutely need to get their house in order.
But they are fuckstupid, the conference could literally die at any time, UT won't leave cuz it lies having its bitches, but that means zero of the other teams have a reason to stay. There are better TV deals in literally any other P5 conference.
This is a conference run by morons, in a state governed by morons.
>it's another conference realignment thread
Do you autists talk about football?
>>implying rich people use condoms
I'm pretty sure it's a slight against the kind of people that go there and where the campus is located. south central LA is a world apart from westwood, after all.
regardless of how much sense it makes, it sounds better as an insult after all.
Coming up next on ESPN:

Las Cruces confirmed for shanty town?
Harbaugh is the best football coach out of the 3 tho
how many national championships has he won?
...
Urban Meyer is the best recruiter but Harbaugh coaches up his players better.
Will we even win one?
I wouldn't be surprised if it dies this year. OU sounds pissed, it could very well be a shell this time in 2017. Last time I heard this much outrage about a conference is when Missouri & A&M left.
>Rhode Island
>Ohio
>Iowa state
>Texas
All wins baby
Same thing situation with him and Pete Carroll in the pros, remind me again how that turned out for him?
>is when Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri & A&M all left because Texas was a little bitch
fixed that for you
I just said Harbaugh was a better coach. I didn't say anything about championships m80
can you give a metric besides championships to explain how harbaugh is better than meyer?
More superb owl appearances
And his team was beatdown and made into carroll's team's bitch, so how does that prove any point you try to make?
...
I'm just saying harbaugh is a better coach.
stay safe from floods and horny latina schoolteachers, pham
fixed the map for you guys
I've never seen that Tennessee logo before. Is that for the alternate uniforms?
>that Tennessee logo

>#2 team in the state
>Still irrelevant
wew lad
of states with 2 or more FBS teams, is there a less relevant #2 than LaTech?
I don't think there is.
K state
what is wew about that? It proves my point..
LSU is the #1 team in the state.
...
Oh is it a Texas thing?
everybody knows Bill Snyder. K-State was more or less a national power in the Collin Klein years.
also, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Idaho, and Arkansas. I'm sure there are a couple I'm missing
>0 (zero) BCS bowls
Oregon, Ohio for the most part, and Idaho
>tfw offseason
>been having to browse r/cfb
>decide to check up on Sup Forums for first time in forever since I don't watch boreball, apehoop, or hockey on a regular basis
>there's actually a fucking /cfb/ general on the first page with a multitude of posters and fans of many teams
>mfw
>K-State was more or less a national power in the Collin Klein years.
Utah and BYU have both have been national powers.
Idaho is a year away from only having 1 fbs team, but you win there (for now).
Same with New Mexico.
Arkansas State = Louisiana Tech
You have to go back
Nevada and NM's most relevant teams are less relevant than LaTech. Throw in Montana, Wyoming, and both Dakotas too. (FCS is always less relevant than FBS.)
Only somebody who attended that shithole would say that for sure
in 2012 they were ranked #1 overall for a while
North Dakota State University has received more coverage in the past 4 years than Louisiana Tech has in their history.
>ranked #1 for a couple of weeks
>national power
Pick one
r/cfb isn't that bad and people actually post there in the offseason. Last year there were like two /cfb/ threads here all offseason bruh. What else can I do?
Beside the point.
When was the last time Louisiana Tech was ranked #1 overall?
They're consistently a top 5 team in dynasty mode on NCAA 14. That's gotta count for something...
Outrage?
That's the opposite of what people felt when they left.
Texas wanted its own network, the deal is those 4 for a reason. No one wants to piss off people to the point of possibly losing funding or flagship status.
Texas is super faggot about the LHN though, and will require it anywhere they go.
Even if da 12s sink, OU and Ok st will stay together, same with Texas and Tech. Unless Texas decides to make itself a private school and go independent.
>Arkansas State = Louisiana Tech
26-12 all time vs. them, including a blw out this past bowl season
Notable Ark St players all time: ???
Notable Tech Players all time: Terry Bradshaw, Kenneth Dixon, Fred Dean, Willie Roaf, Troy Edwards, Tim Rattay, Ryan Allen
Arkansas St 1st round nfl picks: 0(Zero)
LA Tech 1st round nfl picks: 4, including one this year
Arkansas St all americans: 0 (Zero)
LA Tech all americans: 3
Arkansas St all time record: .489 (98th overall)
LA Tech all time record: .568 (48th all time)
there was a /cfb/ thread every few days in the offseason last year, especially in the summer
Watch a different sport you pleb
They'll go independent, stay in the big 12, or drop LHN. No conference is going to take them otherwise.
True. I think when Bill Snyder dies k state will be able to give Louisiana tech a run for their money in irrelevance
I think user meant arkansas state is equal to LA tech in terms of irrelevance in their own state, compared the states in
TIM RATTAY?!?!?
>mfw Messiah wins won for da EL
>there was a /cfb/ thread every few days in the offseason last year, especially in the summer
Yeah I remember posting here last summer now. Feel like they were very sparse until August though.
No can do man. I'm a transplant so I don't get any of my team's games in those sports. Not that interested in regular season boreball or NBA anyway.
They can bully someone into taking the LHN
But they will just prop up the big 12 forever instead.
>won
oops
MAYBE the PAC or ACC (wouldn't join them anyway), but definitely not the B1G or SEC.
...
Theres no reason for them to leave.
As long as they beat notre dame and win the conference they will get into the CFP.
Why would they want to be in a conference that makes it harder to get into the playoffs?
All the big 12 being shit does is fuck over teams not named UT Austin or UT Norman.
>Texas is super faggot about the LHN though, and will require it anywhere they go.
So, FBS Independent, then.
Last year's off season threads where just people disputing natties from the 40s.
would make everyone better off Tbh
Better than people pretending they know shit about conference expansion/contraction
>implying Princeton isn't the GOAT
what would be the next move for the Big XII then, though? if they can keep the ESPN money for now and bring in a chump for filler, how much longer will they be able to last? if some legal shit happens and their TV deal is dead with UT's exit, then what?
>implying anyone knows shit about it
Depends on what UT Norman does.
Most likely Houston and some other teams get picked up by another conference.
But Texas wont leave because that would be fucking stupid.
