France-Romania
France-Albania
France-Switzerland
>won't watch the rest
>Italy - Belgium
>Italy - Sweden
>Italy - Ireland
These three for me. I have a feeling that my interest will drop sharply after the groups.
England v Wales is the one that stands out to me. Maybe because I'm Welsh and living in England though
Spain - Croatia might be ok, remember when Navas fulfilled Pep's dream of scoring by passing?
Romania steamrolling France
Germany vs GAWA
Biggest chance for the underdog win
Honestly, group D
>Czech
>Croatia
>Turkey
>Spain if they shit the bed
It looks like the closest group.
None. Soccer sucks
For football reasons:
Belgium-Italy
Spain-Croatia
Croatia-Turkey
For other reasons:
Hitler-Poland
Poland-Ukraine
Austria-Hungary
England-Wales
Albania-Switzerland
For casuals:
1. Italy vs Belgium
2. England vs Wales
3. France vs Switzerland
4. Germany vs Poland
For patricians:
1. Austria vs Hungary
2. Romania vs Albania
3. Wales vs Slovakia
4. Northern Ireland vs Ukraine
>2. Romania vs Albania
>3. Wales vs Slovakia
>4. Northern Ireland vs Ukraine
>Germany vs Poland
Because of historic reasons you mean?
We constantly played Poland over the last years.
We had them in our group at the 2006 WC, 2008 Euros and now in the 2016 Euro qualifiers.
The "omg" effect is completely gone, we're used to playing them.
And Podolski and Klose won't even play this time, so it's not even going to be special for that reason....
Here's your reply
Group D will be an ebin revenge story, I'm hoping based Slavbros will remove kebab with full force.
Also Belgium-Italy and Germany-Poland should be good, and I'm really curious what will iceland be able to do, it seems to me that they have some kind of a golden generation right now.
Turkey was the best thing about 2008 m8
Perhaps, but i was rooting for Czechia and Croatia because muh Slavic brotherhood. My mom (yes, mom, she is actually a bigger football fan than my father) was rooting for Turkey, mostly for banter purposes, and that made those losses even more bitter
Also, >we were a better underdog story at those Euros, coming back from an utter humiliation in the first game to defeating the juggernaut Netherlands who were considered to be the main favorites of the tournament 9and we did it with a Dutch manager, no less)
i don't think they ever beat you in a major tournament finals though
they have their best shot this year as they have a good squad and already beat you in the quali
also i'm very much looking forward to watching Poland this summer, they are my favourite underdog
If you can't get at least top 4 third place from a group including us, you must be utterly shit.
What's Conte's predicted starting formation anyway?
2008 had two goat underdog stories, it was really enjoyable, I was hoping for a Turkey Russia Final, for the bants
Buffon
Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonucci
De Rossi
Candreva, Florenzi, Motta, El Sharaaway
Pelle, Eder
>Italy
Spain Turkey
We lepanto now
Saving european ass as usual.
No Darmian?
Spain-Turkey
>that easy group for Portugal
TSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
have you not watched him this season?
E, followed by D.
F if you want to watch for the TSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU factor.
>Easy ass group for France
England/ Russia
France / Switzerland
England/ Wales
Belgium / Italy
Belgium / Sweden
Good match ups
>Easy ass group for France
Seemed like that at first. But now Benzema has started whining about muh racism. And both Albania and Romania have fans complaining about the squad selection.
England vs Wales
I thought Wales was just a place where the English kept their sheep and other livestock. What if that "country" beat their fathers
>austria-hungary
And who's the opponent?
...
he will play except in situations where Conte needs to be all out attacking
he's always been great for the NT
i don't know how he can play so shit for United
i guess it's the environment, or maybe Van Gaal's fault
the guy is quality
Rossiya
Wales vs. England
Who /Swansea/ here?
>tfw no "friendship group" of Austria, Hungary, Poland and Iceland (everyone likes Iceland)
every game would end in a draw
Probably not, Back three seems to make more sense with the current squad.
>yfw Austria, Poland, Czechia and Hungary all draw each other in the 2020 group stage
Why is Turkey allowed to compete in this tournament?
i think you meant to say why does turkey get to have two teams in the tourney
Poland doesn't give a flying fuck about Austria tho. Poland-Czech-Ireland-Hungary would be GOAT.
(sorry Slovakia, you're Wysehrad but irrelevant)
>Ireland
wut
why?
to piss off the Brits?
also slovakia is not really friendly with the 3 visegrád countries
Germany-Poland
Honestly,
Sweden - Ireland
Sweden - Italy
Sweden - Belgium
And you will win. So there's no excitement.
Anyway I'm waiting for Austria vs. Hungary.
Is there any rivalry between Austria and Hungary?
Absolutely, the second most contested fixture in history (Behind only Argentina-Uruguay)
The shitposting will be unreal
but it's a friendly rivalry, not like Hungary - romania.
There will be only moderate jokes like pic related, but no fights etc.
