We will never contend for the Pac 12 title, will we?

>sponsers

didnt you contend for it like 2 years ago...

>Missipiss State admits 5 star recruit who beat a woman; SJWs still assmad

This is basically what Baylor did to get good so fast, right? Recruit Elite-level talent with too much baggage for the Big Boy programs? And then that baggage just happens again because niggers gonna nig?

I'm thinking it was a fluke

they were, truly, the niggest

It wasn't just too much for the big boys, they were taking players with too much baggage for Hurr State even.

please don't post here unless your team beat a national championship game participant in the regular season and won't get the win vacated

its a bit of a strectch, and admittedly unlikely, but i guess its not impossible

This isn't news, that's like a week old at this point. Get with the times, OPissant.

>Mississippi State gave this guy a scholarship

Must have SEC speed.

Who /collegeworldseries/ here?

Not me.

not cool man, funny, but not cool

they always told me baseball players drowned in pussy

>Tfw no star pitcher

That has nothing to do with /pingswing/ and everything to do with girls liking dudes who are 6'3" and made of muscle.

College baseball is terrible, and is not relevant to this thread.

espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/15924604/vanderbilt-commodores-pitcher-donny-everett-dies-drowning-accident

Is Houston in the Big 12 yet?

Need to kill A&M's market for recruiting, also the rest of the SEC's.

/here/

m8 r u dense

why is everybody laughing at this and calling it shitpost. like i said, its not as likely as the XII or the pac, but it's still possible

Here's yer fookin' /pingswing/ thread, lads.

Now GTFO of my /cfb/.

>it might theoretically be possible that, one day, if I wish hard enough, Wyoming might be in the XII or P12.

Since 10 is an unstable conference number, what do you think about these long-term additions to the Sun Belt?
UT-Chattanooga
>perennial FCS contender, former compadre of Georgia Southern and App State
Alcorn State
>ideally located in the heart of the footprint
>regular SWAC contenders/champs in FCS

added logos

dont think the belt would want an hbcu, and i doubt a hbcu would even want to be fbs.

>Big 12 payouts will be $30.4 million this year
>not including Tier 3 rights
albundylaughing.gif

I agree with this user about the HBCU. Chattanooga would be good, but theres no really good option for a 12th.

I'm not saying good but, doesn't Eastern Kentucky want to come up?

Florida A&M tried to make the jump a little over a decade ago. It was toward the end of their brief time as a quasi-powerhouse in FCS. It was a total clusterfuck and they dropped back down after just one season. If they couldn't make it happen during their historical peak I just don't think it's doable.

I think the SBC turned down EKU last year though. I think they'll make one last push for JMU and if they can't get them they'll reverse their stance on EKU.

There's other factors a conference would consider that we are not privy to, but I think UTC doesn't go because Tennessee is too small to support a 3rd (4th?) FBS member.

OtherAnon is right, too, in that a HBCU is a long-shot. FAMU tried it like ten or so years ago, then couldn't get the money together so just ended up being an independent for a year.

Alcorn State I've heard bandied about, but the two most recent finalists for SBC membership were Coastal Carolina (accepted), and Eastern Kentucky.

I like your style though. I'd love to see a SWAC team move up, but it costs money to do so and that conference doesn't have it

>SBC
This was during a time where we found out, later, that the SBC didn't want more than 10 football-playing teams. CCU brought them to 12, booting Idaho/NMSU brought them back to ten. They won't be expanding again anytime soon.

UNLESS (Pt. 1)
-- Big 12 expands, to AAC replaces, so CUSA replaces, so SBC replaces. Knowing that this was coming, the SBC is fuckstupid for not insulating itself. A conference can't retain FBS status with only eight members.

UNLESS (Pt. 2)
-- Despite the allowance of a championship game with ten, the SBC realizes they're fucking stupid and expands anyway to have a real one.

Hell, maybe it's a bit of both, you have to figure they took CCU in the short-term and then just decided to wait to see what other FCS members could get their shit together in the coming years, while giving NMSU/Idaho a first look, then showing them (and others) what is/isn't going to make membership viable. In the case of NMSU it was distance, in the case of Idaho it was distance + terrible sports in every category.

wichita state is looking to add an fbs team so try them

we /womenscollegeworldseries/ now

Nah. Too many upstarts. ODU got lucky and Charlotte was already in a FBS conference. Not enough population in Wichita. Go away.

GET OUT

>wanting to go straight to the FBS
literally gonna get UMass'd or Idaho'd and be a total clusterfuck program. Spend a decade working your way up from D2 maybe even D3 if necessary to FCS then finally see if FBS play is feasible or just chill at FCS and make some money getting shit on every year by an FBS team

The punctuation in this post is questionable, but Senpai has a point.

FBS is expensive as fuck, if you can't get the money/donations (and that's not likely in rural-as-fuck Kansas), you're not moving any higher.

At least UMass can play at Gillette, WS either has to build a new stadium or compete at a local high school. The former is too expensive and the latter will make FBS conferences walk away.

>implying anyone has a membership this based

Still at least double the bowl tie-ins the MAC has, give us a couple more years to settle into the new alignment and we'll wreck your shit.

USM and Marshall set a high bar, but they're going down this year.

we're coming for the 'ship this year. try and stop us

>from worst to first in one year
If anyone in the conference is going to do it, it won't be the Monarchs.

>"based" membership
>CUSA
pick one.

CUSA's only schools with a tradition of success are
>1. Southern Miss
>2. LA Tech.
>3. Marshall
>4. WKU

everyone else is/has historically been mediocre or garbage

>we big12 now

"Big" "12" adding a conference championship game.

foxsports.com/college-football/story/big-12-adding-championship-game-meetings-bob-bowlsby-060316

hopefully the Sun Belt follows suit.
Not having a CCG makes the conference less relevant than it already is imo

>Mascot is a condom brand
>Mascot is residents of a city that was literally burnt, pillaged, and assraped by the Greeks
kek

The first two yes, the second two only successful at the FCS level.

Teams successful at the top level are Rice (former SWC member), UTEP (CBB national title), FAU (SBC football championship), and MTSU rising to meet the rest.

CUSA money > SBC money, tho, so expect more of these teams popping up on ESPN in December.

>giganticfacepalm.jpg

They don't want to go from 10 to 12 because "it might dilute the conference," said Buford T. Hillbilly, as the B1G and SEC have 16 and 14 teams and are winning EVERY. SINGLE. GODDAMN. CHAMPIONSHIP.

Conference title games help not because they exist, but because they typically (at least in the B1G, SEC, Pac-12) pit two high-ranking teams against each other, late in the season. For the Big 12 to be relevant, they either have to (a) actually HAVE two high-ranking teams late in the season, or (b) schedule P5 non-conference games.

The Big 12 has done neither, and is a fucking failure, run by idiots.

Prediction: Left out of playoff again in 2016, they add the shittiest teams imaginable for 2017, get left out again, then petition the NCAA to expand the playoff field to 8 because reasons.

Is anyone this ESPN Mizzou shit? Cant stop laughing at it

Fuck you nigga, my post was about football

You hired Rich Rod. So no, no you will not.

first off, i hate LSU with a passion. This list uses an average of all teams all time win %, wins, championships (national and conference), all americans, bowl games, and weeks in poll. It takes literally everything into account

>not even listing auburn

Apparently it doesn't take the SWC into account, or some shit, USC is forever tainted. Didn't they vacate some titles?

>averaged in some metrics according to my own personal formula
Fucking dropped.

They're 2. And I don't care.

wasn't my own formula. just one that makes the most sense. It takes into account all conferences across the history of NCAAF

and for the record, i dont agree with a lot of them either, i'm just posting to add some debate/keep the thread going

This implies two equally reasonable points of view, and a discussion on the merits and drawbacks of each.

Instead, your list is fucktarded and you should feel bad.

>my face when people actually think the team with the best defense and a top 10 offense in the country will miss the playoffs next season

>Brandon Peters (objectively and statistically the best QB in the 2016 recruiting class, it isn't even debatable)
