"A total of 10 participants and 12 officials will form the first team of refugees to compete at the Olympic Games in Rio this summer.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced the team on Friday, with five competitors coming from South Sudan, two apiece from Syria and the Democratic Republic of Congo and one from Ethiopia.
IOC president Thomas Bach called it a "historic day" when naming the team, which will participate in Rio de Janeiro under the Olympic flag."
