i know nothing about you, but i guess you're poor and brown like your neighbors

Are you rich?

Why does one of your regions have the same name as the country?

Two questions:
1) are you still bitter about Sacyr scamming you?
2) have you finally learned not to start any business with Spanish """businessmen"""?

Are you still mad at us?

They are as brown as the dominican republic(in the sense that their browness comes from africans instead of amerindians) but they are definitely not poor.

Looks damn good. If central america was a country this would be the financial center of the country by far.

Is Mariano Rivera a hero?

The most important part and the one that produces almost all of the GDP is the interoceanic region (Around the canal):
>Provinces of Panamá, Colón, and Panamá Oeste.
>The canal.
>Logistic hub (Ports in both oceans, Train that connects both ports, Highway that connects both oceans)
>Hub de las Americas (Aeropuerto de Tocument, home of Copa Airlines)
>Financial services (Financial center with more than 90 banks)
>Only mayor city in the country (Ciudad de Panamá)
>More than half of the population lives here.

Coclé:
>Cool province with somewhat mountainous regions and nice beaches.
>Penonomé is the capital of the province with somewhat cool weather.
>Antón is near the beaches. The Valle de Antón is a small town with a mountainous weather.
>Natá and Aguadulce are other important towns in the province.

Azuero:
>Provinces of Herrera and Los Santos are the more Hispanic with a population of mainly European ancestry.
>The economy here is based on livestock.
>Even thought, with the exception of a few towns, life is rural; standards of living are pretty high here.
>Chitré, capital of Herrera, is the biggest city in Azuero.
>La Villa de Los Santos is small town in Los Santos with great historical importance.
>Las Tablas, capital of Los Santos.
>Pedasí is a very touristic town with beautiful beaches.
>Guararé is another interesting town in Los Santos.

>literally living in a hat

Veraguas:>Only province with two oceans.
>They have mountainous regions.
>They have a lot of livestock going on here.
>It´s capital and largest town is Santiago.
>Second largest town is Soná
>San Francisco de la Montaña is a small town in mountainous Veraguas, with a beautiful baroque church.

Chiriquí:
>Best highlands in the country.
>David, the capital, is one of the biggest towns outside the interoceanic region.
Some mountain towns include Boquete, Cerro Punta, and Volcán
>They used to have a railroad network, but not anymore.

Boca del Toro:
>They have some of the best beaches.
>Beautiful islands. 10/10 must visit.
>Also used to have a railroad network, but not anymore.

Darien and the comarcas:
>Don not go in here.
>Except for Kuna Yala. The beaches are worth it.

Yeah, kind of. Very known and celebrated as a deportist.

Because of the invention? Not really.

Good. A least you arent part of gran colombia now.

1) No, because at least we are not paying them as much as they want.
2) I wish. Sacyr is still competing in biddings for different infrastructure projects.

Because it is the part of the country that matter economically speaking.

Yeah, for Latin standards. But we are still under Greece or Portugal.

>Central America will never be a country again.

>At the time of writing, tax rates for individuals were as follows: An annual net income of up to 11,000 USD is tax free. A 15% income tax rate applies to all income exceeding 11,000 USD, up to 50,000 USD. On all income exceeding 50,000 USD, a 25% rate applies; the first 50,000 USD are taxed with 5,850 USD.

Oldest city in the Pacific coast of the Americas. Founded in 1519.

Could Panama City be considered a first world city? Judging from the pics I see here it seems very developed

Do you love being an American puppet ?
How different is panama spanish from neutral spanish ?

Some parts could pass as first world. Nevertheless, there are still some poor areas and even slums. Now then, there are not as much as you would find in other countries in the region and there are a lot of social programs that intent to decrease the amount of this areas.

Who would Panama most likely side with: USA, Russia, EU or China?

1) pic related
2) The Panamanian spanish is a variant of the caribbean spanish. So not too different.

Most likely the U.S.
The history of the Panama-US relationships are kinf of a big deal here.

Doesn't China invest a lot?

But USA takes your canal after your independence

U.S no doubt. They invest a lot in Panama.
Nicaragua is the one with more russian investment. And Costa Rica has more chinese investment now that intel is gone(wich contrubuted to like 20% of their gdp). The rest of central america is the whore of the u.s. including panama and guatemala.

We do have a lot of comarcial relationships, and their shipping companies use the canal a lot. But we recognize Taiwan as an indipendent nation, so we do not have diplomatic relationships with mainland China.

But is ours now. We even expand it.

...

when are we getting our ditch back

What is the Panama-Costa Rica border zone like?

>west panama
>in the middle
???

It was part of the Panamá region. The westernmost part to be precise. Now is it´s own province.

Embera and Guna are tribes?

Major investors in Panama:

1. Colombia: 911 899 mil dolares
2. Estados Unidos: 612 021 mil dolares
3. Canadá: 408 300 mil dolares
4. México: 296 580 mil dolares
5. Taiwan: 260 882 mil dolares
6. Costa Rica: 258 275 mil dolares
7. Sudáfrica: 198 536 mil dolares
8. España: 191 484 mil dolares
9. Suiza: 183 622 mil dolares
10. Bélgica: 166 427 mil dolares

Yes. They came from Colombia not so long ago, tho.

Why is fag marriage still banned there?

Guess I was wrong, nice info

It is quite ugly desu. It is not that it is poor or insecure, it is lack of maintenance. Never the less, it should look a lot nicer in the near future. It is worth mantion that the border is completly demilitarized and people can pretty much just cross it.

Somewhat conservative/catholic society. Historicaly Panama is more secular, but lately it is not like that.

are there a lot of jobs? in what industries?

here is how it looks right now.

here is a render.

When is the new canal going to complete?

With the one (and now/soon? two) canals and offshore banking, it seems like a lot of Panama's monetary economy is externally based. Is that true? Are there any real internal businesses? Panama is probably too small to have its own economy really.

Well Panama's unemployment is under 6%.
Mainly the financial sector. Panama is a country whose economy relies mainly on services, not so much in industry.

The third set of locks is already completed. The off shore thing is like 6% of the financial sectror's contribution to the PIB, so not that important.
But, yes. Businesses in Panama are mainly services, like banks and law firms.

Neat. Thanks for responding.

i dont know mang, panama is not very interdasting, its like any other centralamerican country, my dick is more interested in medellin, colombia, you know? gggg

why does the Ruta Panamericana stop in the Darien? perhaps this should be a question for Colombians. It is the only reason why you cant drive from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego.

What does Panama think of the U.S.?

It is complicated. But it is mainly do to the violent situation in that region of Colombia.

It sure depends on who you ask. But generally, panamenas are favorable towards the U.S.
