So, yesterday I posted a thread on here because my copy of Windows was fucked up from a virus, and I've done a system restore to a previous point in time. This seems to have fixed some issues. but now my Google Chrome is fucked up.
No matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall it, the extensions don't seem to work for Google Chrome and the icon in the task bar is a blank white page instead of the Chrome logo.
Is there any way I can fix this?
And also, after getting rid of the adware or whatever it was (I think, I've run a full system scan of Avast and Malwarebytes) and restoring the computer to a previous save point, my computer seems to be running slower in some areas and some tasks don't even work (e.g. clicking on the start button doesn't open the start menu). Is this something I can fix too?
at what point did you decide getting tech support from Sup Forums was a good idea you fucking gonorrhea handbag fucking pour milk on your computer if you can't fucking google
Isaac Bell
Fuck. I've got a lot of files and projects on here and I don't have any extra hard drives lying around to back them up.
Should I just do a reset that keeps the files whilst reinstalling windows?
Too stupid to use Linux, I'll fuck something up.

sup bro. The chrome config is in your sam file located at c:\Windows\System32\Config\sam just remove it, reboot and you're good to go! your browser history and stuff will be deleted, but this is the easy way.
Aaron Anderson
Use any user friendly distro like any Ubuntu flavour or Linux Mint.
Nolan Bailey
Reinstall windows completely, don't use chrome and get a decent real time antivirus since you don't seem to know what you're doing.

No just fucking stupid enough to ask for tech support on Sup Forums what fucking special ed class are you in
Alexander Perez
I've tried googling, but didn't come up with anything useful, so I thought I'd ask here.
Would I be able to reset the PC and keep my files? I've got a lot of important shit that I can't lose, but don't have any extra space to back it up.
Adam Walker
uninstall chrome, download CCleaner. use CCleaner. profit.
Logan Gutierrez
You can format and reinstall windows and keep all your stuff, but you should find a way to backup your things
Jayden Bailey
Alright, thanks.
Haven't tried CCleaner yet, I'll try it out. Thanks user.
James Martin
don't reformat unless you can not get rid of the virus. if you have restore points or a good system image use them. that is what they are for.
CCleaner and MBAM should set you straight.
Parker Barnes
I've been trying restore points, and the OS seems fine for the most part but Chrome is fucked up and the OS is running a little slower than before I got the virus and restored to a previous save point.
Blake Peterson
upload your chrome folder zip, I'll tell you what's wrong
Aaron Harris
stop being a noob...Install Linux, Image System... bad things wont happen... if bad things happen... restore image.... they wont happen... but if they do... yeah... image.
Mason Wilson
If you are restoring from previous it -might- be running slow because it's uploading all the botnet shit and looking for updates etc etc
windows 10, right?
Andrew Mitchell
Yep, Windows 10.
David Wilson
Stop being a faggot and do a clean install.
Fucking computer autists
Lucas Robinson
Buy a fucking external, poorfag
Cooper Perry
Is it authentic or pirated copy
Daniel Nelson
I can't, user, I have hundreds of GB worth of work on here that I can't lose.
It's currently 23:21 where I live, there's no where that's open and sells external hard drives. And I need the computer to be working perfectly tonight.

push windows key and r at the same time then type cmd hold down ctrl shift and enter if password prompt comes up, type password in
then in cmd:
type: format c: /s
hit enter
problem goes away
Joshua Ramirez
if, and when you get set straight this works pretty good for win 10.
