Tyson would knock him the fuck out.

Both were legitimately shit tier and won because every match was fixed

Ali. Tyson was great but Ali was the complete package. His movement and resilience would see him through

This kek. Tyson was terrifying in his prime.

jews

Tyson (Fury)

Tyson.

Ali is dead, you idiot.

Ali of course

>sport entirely hinging on strength, speed, nutrition etc.
>thinks some guy from the 60's could beat prime Tyson

lol

Whoever lands a good punch first.

GSP

Ali could dole it out but he had a glass jaw. Tyson could take inhuman hits and barely pause.

>He had a glass jaw

t. Pleb

tyson never fought a good opponent except lennox when he was fat and over the hill

true or false?

>being fucking retarded
>2016

you mean yourself?

Ali got shook plenty of times, even in some fights he ended up winning, and he never fought anyone near Tyson's caliber.

Probably Ali. Tyson was mentally soft and later in his career lost his will. Ali would fight to the death. Take Tyson vs Holyfield for example. Tyson couldn't handle a guy who literally had no fear because he viewed himself as a crusading Christian warrior. Also, Holyfield fought dirty and Ali would do the same to get inside Tyson's head.

Also, if you look at the resumes of each fighter, Ali's is much more impressive. Imagine Ali vs Tyson in Zaire surrounded by crazy Africans screaming. Tyson couldn't handle that kind of atmosphere, Ali loved that shit.

Best fighter still Sugar Ray Robinson.

Tyson, hands down. He could hit like an atom bomb and take hits like a battleship.

Prime Tyson vs. Prime Ali would have been a glorious fucking fight to behold, though.

Tyson is totally overrated. He never beat any of the top level opponents he faced.

>he never fought anyone near Tyson's caliber.

You're not baiting anyone lad

...

this is literallyReddit, the question. Athletes from half a century ago in any sport would get individually demolished by modern athletes.

Ali is the Wilt Chamberlain of boxing. Beat up on soft, unathletic white guys mostly so he looked super dominant.

who is Foreman, Liston, Frazier,

Lennox Lewis

>Beat Smoking Joke
>Beat Foreman
>Beat Ken Norton
>Beat Ron Lyle
>Beat Liston
>Beat Patterson
>Beat Shavers

It goes on and on

>mostly

and they're all overrated because of their weak era.

false, he also fought Holyfield who made him his bitch, twice

Tyson ducked Foreman when he came back. Tyson knew that even old Foreman would have wrecked him.

mma russian strong, he storm stand, win match

This guys knows.

Compare sport records from 50 years ago to today's.

>Tyson ducked Foreman
>he actually believes this

Boxing is less affected by time than other sports, it's just one man in a ring against another. Also it's not like we're talking about some moustachioed Irish bare knuckler from the 1890s, Ali was ahead of his time in many ways

tyson ducked butterbean too

Single combat sports are literally the most affected by time. At least team sports there are teammates which can hold you back.

Any boxer/fighter/MMA etc. today has a wealth of nutrition/training/etc. knowledge that was completely unknown at the time. They keep in peak condition year around and have full-time trainers. People literally used smelling salts in Ali's era as a "recovery" method in training.

Foreman was a gigantic giganigger grill salesman. No mortal like Tyson could compete with that.

While we were eating, Benton said, "Bobby, what's up with Foreman and Tyson, how come they're not fighting each other on the 16th? Isn't that the fight that King was trying to make?" He said, "Georgie, You'll never believe this but, Fuckin' Tyson is scared shit less of Foreman and wants no part of him. I was there when Don was trying to make the fight. He was telling Tyson that Foreman represented huge money, plus he was old and slow and would be no problem. Tyson got up and screamed at King saying, 'I'm not fight in' that Fuckin' animal, if you love the motherfucker so much, you fight him!'"

Watch the Tillis fight and you see how prime Tyson struggles against what is basically an extremely shit Ali copy.
youtube.com/watch?v=aVGyjvulVcs

TYSON in his Prime it would be gg

>shitty Ali copy
lol you mean a shitty copy that would kill Ali with one hand

>Ali could dole it out but he had a glass jaw
He literally took everything Foreman could throw at him for 7 rounds

Foreman had a harder, stronger punch than Tyson and Ali still endured it.

Fuck off Tysonfags.

The only way to beat Ali was to be prepared to go war with him, same as Frazier did.
No way Tyson could do that.
Tyson was Frazier with more speed and power (but still less power than Foreman, which Ali handled) less stamina, and sadly a fraction of the willpower and heart.

> stronger punch than Tyson

No

Foreman was basically a Lord of the Rings Troll

>tyson didn't have good movement or resilience
I don't get this meme. Tyson had a hell of a right, but he also was fast too

Pre 1967 ali would be stronk

iron mike at age 21 might be too stronk though. Who knows. no one will ever know

are people memeing in this thread, or are you just fucking retarded?

The first decent boxer Tyson fought, he got his ass handed to him, yet people think he could beat Ali, someone who was:
1. Taller
2. Longer reach
3. The GOAT
The first two traits were ones Tyson had always had trouble with.

Buster Douglas
>a literally who
>his mom died a few weeks before the fight
>his baby momma was going to die
>he had the flu a few nights before the fight
>out of shape
>nobody thought he was going to win

Prime Ali
>greatest boxer to ever walk the earth
>21 punches in 10 seconds
>would've simply put his hand on Tyson's face, as he swung in vain with his short arms
>not a manlet
>charisma
>pretty
>would've psyched Tyson out
>as Tyson did some crazy shit like join ISIS, Ali would've negotiated and had him returned

In summary, the lanklet would've BTFO of the raging manlet

>pretending Douglas was a decent fighter

>Compare sport records from 50 years ago to today's.
literally retarded.

that was the best era retard.

you're right. He was mediocre AT BEST
all the more reason to consider Tyson a fucking fraud who just beat up Joe Blows

Tyson is allergic to bees.

>some crazy shit like join ISIS, Ali would've negotiated and had him returned
didn't Ali convert to islam?

Tyson would likely win. Ali had problems with people like Frazier and Tyson was a more powerful version of him. Tyson and Frazier sort of moved the same with their head down and were also shorter than typical heavyweights.

Boxing is the jewiest sport

the one who is alive.

I wouldn't go that far either. Douglas fought out of his skin and Tyson thought it would be a procession.
Tyson was a very good fighter but is overrated, he lacked mental strength, had a high energy style that was incompatible with a long career, and lacked stamina and endurance.
He wasn't close to Ali in terms of courage either (though anyone stepping into the ring is worthy of respect in that regard).
In fact the only time I saw Tyson fight in a way that I consider courageous by boxing standards was when he took that beating from Lewis.

yes

Fighting styles make fights and style wise, Larry Holmes was very similar to Ali. A 38 year old Holmes who hadn't fought professionally for two years took a prime Tyson to round 4.

A prime Holmes would've had a good chance to beat Tyson and if that's the case, Ali probably would have won too.
