This is true. Trannies who don't transtition lose their minds around 40 when hormone levels drop. They are basically neurological hermaphrodites. Something fucked up during their brain masculinisation window whilst in the womb and now they are stuck with a a brain where all the settings are backwards.
We all start out as this weird half gendered freakish thing. Certain hormones at certain times make shure that our "proto-pussies" shrivel up and our male parts develop. We specialise into males according to the genetic program sequence laid down at conception. Same goes for the brain. It to has to go trough hormone induced changes within certain time windows to turn you mentally into a male.
They can usually put together a makeshift male persona, but it tends to collapse as soon as hormone levels drop. Roiding up may keep them from transitioning. Tough they will still feel like shit inside.
Hopefully developments in brain research will allow some way of scanning people to determine if these tiny deep nerve centers that has to do with instinctual drives have gone trough the changes that should have happened to turn into a fully masculinised male.
Problem is that nobody is really 100% masculinised. So it will be politically sensitive to have a test that basicly determines how much or little of a man you really are.
The actuall process of development is way more complicated than the simplistic "dick = boy and vagina = girl" thinking most people lapse into when having to related to this stuff.
