Death note

Exactly, your image.

Archer - best anime out there at the moment

His name is Furlock Bones.

Hasn't been good for several seasons now.

Cowboy Bebop
Ghost in the Shell
Samurai Champloo
Afro Samurai
Archer

Cory in the House.

maplestory

You didn't like Archer Vice? Or the CIA contract?

>Archer
>anime

Thats a good one too

Of cours not, they were terrible. Archer vice got very samey with repetitive plots and jokes("Cocaine so randum! Xd xd xd") and there was just something off about the cia season, I can't put my finger on it.

Hellsing for sure.

Naruto is still the best

Anime - an abbreviation of Animation. Learn to trunc8.

...

"Anime (Japanese: アニメ?, [a.ni.me] are Japanese animated productions"

"Archer is an American adult animated comedy television series"

>MFW

I get the cocaine bit was slightly overdone, but I guess they needed to have a legitimate way of shifting it - and Pam eating it is as good a way as any. And I may be a bit biased about the CIA stuff due to having grown up with films like Kuffs, Pump Up the Volume, and Heathers - and therefore have a predilection toward Christian Slater

The abridged version is pretty funny

Shinsekai Yori

i really liked parasite and monster

>2016
>googling anime to try and prove a point

Get over yourself, weeaboo - cartoons = anime = cartoons = etc

Next thing you'll try telling me that mantas shouldn't be called comics.....

Mangas- not mantas.... Clearly mantas =\= comics

Excel Saga.

Also Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

HxH, Hero Acadamy, anyone got any good ones like this shit? Character development from them being nothing to op op

R1 or R2?

Kissxsis, cause nothing is better than a pussy that gives tapioca juice

none, because I'm not underage anymore

R1 for most of the story and r2 for the ending fcking hated rollo

R2 is the best, seen lulu taking the world and then sacrifice him self, the dude is like jebus

...

vice was terrible. newest season made up for it though

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

dragon ball z

Ohh such a grow man, now go back to Jamal and sit on his cock, faggot

There's no way there's no way

I love Berserk. But I hate all other anime. Is there any reason for this? There are plenty of other anime (anime's?) like it. But everything else just seems so dry.

Are there any other gory and gritting anime/manga that take place in the past that aren't completely overdramatic and childish? Maybe a wartime era.

I've watched:
>Claymore
>FMA
>FMA: Brotherhood
>The first few episodes of Cowboy Bebop
>A few episodes of Naruto.
I was just curious.
>A few episodes of Dragon Ball and dbz.
Hated it. Don't get why everyone loves it.
>One Piece
>a few episodes of Fairy Tale.
>Boku no Piku

Tenchi Muyo , my first wifu anime harem .

hunter x hunter

>first few episodes of cowboy bebop
thats your problem

Im a Huge One Piece fan but havent caughten up with the last 3 episodes. Right now however im hooked on watching Initial D. On stage 5 for that anime already and i only started a month ago

...

Berserk.

Toehoe

Try Gantz.

It sucked. I'm not going to watch a show that I can't even enjoy the beginning of. I saw two the episodes late with friends and they loved it. I still hated it. Why does everyone like it? Boring as hell.

You haven't even met the entire cast yet. GG.

transformers

ayyy

My nigga.

Try Gurren Lagaan.

Cant base a show off of two episodes dude. Besides, I think its the 3rd episode they introduce Faye and the Psycho Drug. Youre missing out on good shit cause you wont give it a chance.

id recommend you to read übel blatt, theres no anime for it yet but the manga is pretty freaking good. there are quite a few gory animes, on top of my head id say are Parasyte, hellsing ultimate and jojos bizarre adventure

Its impossible to hate
Cowboy Bepop
Death note
FMA: Brotherhood

nignog

Ouran High School Host Club

nice meme

10x better than the trash on this season

>liking an anime just because of it's characters.

Kek, nah bruv. A show that adds more characters is guaranteed to suck.

Never heard of it. I'll check it out. Thanks.

Watched it. Too childish for my pessimistic tastes.

I should clarify. I watched 6 episodes before I couldn't stand it anymore. I later watched 2 more episodes in the later series with friends. Still hated it.

I'll try 'em. Thanks.

Yet here I am. Making the impossible possible.

>too childish
>making the impossible possible

Row row fight the power!

The manga for Gantz is much better and a new movie is coming out for Gantz later this year aswell as for Berserk. Another hidden gem is Jin-Roh. Fucking great movie. GLHF

Actually... A show that introduces many charcters is a STRONGLY character driven show. Meaning you get on a personal level with those charcters and you get to know "their" storey within a bigger story

My favorite anime movie

Most shows start introducing characters when their fanbase starts receding. They think that more people will be drawn to that stuff. Are you? I've never really needed to know a character to feel attached to them. Then again, I'm not practical. I don't understand most things that other people do.

Que?

Jin rho, or Ghost in the Shell Stand alone complex. Tho these don't fit the "in the past" requirement. Jin rho and gits are both war time , Jin rho being about the military, and gits being about a CIA style swat unit.

There is one on netflix atm that seems like it'd be good but I don't recall the name right now.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jin-Roh:_The_Wolf_Brigade

Akira
Macross series, especially Macross Plus
Gundam series, especially 0079 and Zeta
Hokuto No Ken
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Bleach
Saint Seiya
GenoCyber

is it seven deadly sins?

Death Note doesn't belong in that list. It's a childish power fantasy dressed up as an art piece. It only ever gained traction because it came out in a desert season where fucking Once Piece was the only half-decent (and I use that loosely) shonen series out there.

I'm not saying you're wrong to like it, but it doesn't belong with those other two. Bebop will be remembered in 30 more years, and FMA for at least another 10. Death Note barely gets mentioned any more except by casuals who haven't watched anime in 5-10 years.

Toriko. It's a blend between One Piece for the world-building, DBZ for the battles and HxH for the premise. And food porn.

Death note is a great anime tho

I'll look around Netflix. Think I saw ghost in a shell there once. Thanks.

Mah robot nigga

love the music

This.

Whoops, forgot Berserk.

How can that be true when shows that are character driven introduce their characters as the story unfolds? How the fuck are going to lose a fan base while your show just began? Ontop of that. Animes are made from successful mangas with an already wide fanbase..

Everyone will probably forget about it soon
It was released in 2006 and there are people still crazy about it, it became the fastest selling manga ,26.4 million copies , had a morally ambiguous story and the greatest detective of all time ..
But hey, it's childish
right?

A little overdramatic. Quite silly. Made every fanboy pretend to be really smart for some reason. It was all quite predictable really. It sucked after they killed L and brought in those two kids. I want to punch the one that wouldn't stop snapping off his chocolate bar. Really wish they would have developed the friendship between Kira and L.

Nah that one has a bit to many panty shots / boob grabs, Don't get me wrong I thought ti was great, but i do think the guy I was replying to would have liked it.
There are a couple different versions of GITS now, Arise ; the one on Netflix, is it's own thing as goes as far as re-writing character history to fit what ever it was trying to do...

SAC is better imo.

True true

Fate/Zero is my all time favorite nothin' comes close.

9/10 best anime - IGN

Gantz is good. If you just hate the feeling of happiness

if u like the original over the rebuild ur ad hom etc

Psycho-pass. I love the whole setting of this anime and shogo makishima is the perfect villain. I did find the second season to be lacking though but have yet to see the movie so hopefully that turns out well.

People get disinterested in shows all the time. I don't know about you, but it's better when there are a set amount of characters through the first season.

The amount of sales has nothing to do with how childish it is.
>The main character is a child.
>the main character has childish ambition.
>childish drawings and animations.
>a mother fucking battlebot.
>jokes every two seconds
>oversexualized women
>dramatic

It's literally meant for children. Try harder.

No its not you fucking idiot. Anime is anything from Japan. You don't have to be weeb or Otaku to know that.

wait, can't forget about Trigun, amazing anime that definitely went over bored in the feels department halfway through.

It makes me want to kill myself

My senpai-nigga

Good show, movie was boring 50-60% of it At least

They need to make more of that shit, totally going to rewatch
