Which flavour?

Don't remember here is a picture of the dvd case that came with the magazine

Pic of pc here

Ubuntu Unity, Wily Werewolf.
Version code is 15.10.

You can switch to an LTS. 16.04 came out a while ago.

Will do what are some fun things to do with Linux I've been an iOS and Windows fag from the day I was born never knew of Linux

First thing I did was learn a bunch of BASH commands. But it's really all up to you. Just beware of posts telling you to run commands like "sudo rm -rf / --no-preserve-root" and " :(){ :|:& };:", since someone's probably going to post one here.

Is it like the delete system 32 equivalent for Linux

Sitting on my computer, like everyday of everyweek-end. I have absolutely no friends, no social skills, no social-life. I haven't left my house in three-weeks.

Playing any vidya

Pretty much.
The first one posted deletes your root directory.

Second one is a fork bomb. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fork_bomb)

Nope, just sitting here listening to fucking Nickelback and System of a Down.

Ahhh I never trust Sup Forums when it goes into code rule of thumb

It's really for the best.

Done anything productive this week

I would have never admitted to that, brave user.

Nope absolutely fucking nothing, drank a whole bottle of zzzquil trying to get high from Diphenhydramine, didn't work.

Linux is nice to learn if you are into computers just because it lets you look at more of the internals of the OS and learn about how things in computers work. Knowing how to use terminal and the command line is useful and linux in general is really customizable

Had gf over, she just went home.
Now I'm just drinking beer and playing Insurgency
I'll probably try to get Fallout 4 working again now that Far Harbour is out: somewhere in the mods I downloaded, something is making it crash a couple seconds after I start playing, every time

Yeah it's one of the reasons I did it plus a lot faster than Windows because Windows is like you know what user fuck you were syncing right now whether you like it or not

Once you become more comfortable with the command line, I'd recommend a tiling window manager like I3.

op here finally got done updating ubuntu

Nice. Just post in the thread if you need any help.

do you have an resources on how to learn i3 or similar tilting wm? i have some free time and have been using linux for a few years and could try one out.

thanks man none of my normie friends understand

Not really, honestly. Just jumping into it worked for me. Took me about a day and a half to get all the default keybindings down, and from that point on, I would add my own and modify them, etc. I've only used i extensively, and I fucking love it.

I installed ubuntu 11.10 way back in the day on a whim and havent looked back since. i only use windows when i have a random program that doesnt have a linux variant and i dont have a vm installed that can handle it (some video games).

>used i extensively
I meant "I3".

About that, OP, you're not planning on doing some serious gaming, are you?

Nice i will def look into it tomorrow or whenever i get off my ass and do something productive. i should learn emac/vi one of these days too...

I do but I will wait when Vulkan to come out then games will work for almost any device that has enough power

Tried Vi, but I can't get past the fact that it's modal. Plus I just don't do anything too fancy -- nothing that requires the robustness that Emacs or Vi offer.

Speaking of which...

op here got google chrome downloaded

What're you going to do now?

maybe watch some boku no pico check out /f/
and yes Sup Forums has turned me from being straight as fuck to wanting to suck dick

Do you mean Sup Forums?

yeah i usually end up using nano if im on the command line or sublime with a bunch of plugins for anything serious but i feel like vi and emacs are fairly prevalent and are decent to be familiar with. and lol the stupidest things people will make and post to github....

nah man /f/ got porn and other interesting stuff been to Sup Forums and I saw that a guy said all he had to do was buy a mac book and chicks loved him complete bullshit
