Feels thread: General/Dad edition
Yesterday Sup Forums convinced me to go to the Trump rally today in Anaheim.
I went with my father who is reaching old age and is in poor health. He is not disabled but has a tough time walking without his cane.
We arrived early and we sat down on the upper tier section.
My father said, "user go down there close where Trump will be."
I said, "but pops I stay here with you, I dont need to be down there."
Knowing that I am a dedicated supporter he replied, "Go, you'll love it... trust me."
I went down and got as close to Donald as I could.
I had an absolute blast. The end of the rally concluded and Trump made his way to the crowd to sign various paraphernalia.
I took off my white and gold MAGA hat and yelled,
"Donald look at this hat, you have you have to sign this hat, no way can you sign this hat."
Mr. Trump looked at me and pointed, he then smiled towards me and signed my hat. He tossed my hat back and I felt like Ive never felt before.
I made my way back to the exit and I saw my father.
I looked up towards the upper tier and I saw him with a small tears in his eyes. He was watching me the whole rally.
He was holding his Trump sign and was giving me a thumbs up.
My father and I never had the best relationship and he will surely die soon. Maybe it meant something. Maybe not, in the long run, but no explanation, no mix of words or music or memories can touch that sense of knowing that we were there and alive in that corner of time and the world.
