Why not Europe?

You just don't nuke white people. Not even nazis

they didn't have it until after germany had unconditionally surrendered

Germany wasn't a direct threat to American soil.

The war did end too early there to drop the bomb.

Pearl Harbor you silly Liberal.

This

Because they surrendered before we had built the bomb you fucktard

> still believing japan was after all those years

Because Germany already surrendered you fuckin retard

I didn't claim I know everything, I just asked

Man fuck no.
Japan was nuked, and look at all the weird shit coming from there.
I mean, consider the kind of porn the literal shit-country (as in poop-porn) germany would produce if it was nuked.
The US had to think of the future!

because whites don't nuke other whites.

chill Sup Forumsro

Also fun fact: America was terryfied that Germany would nuke them. After the war it turned out the germans had no clue how to even start working on one.

>Pearl Harbor you silly Liberal.
Implying the powers that be have anger management issues and are as retarded as the average conservative voter.

We nuked Japan to end the war early, and avoid getting "help" from Russia in the end.
Had the Russians co-invaded, they would have turned half the country into a Soviet block satellite.

korrekt

Interesting.

>> still believing japan was after all those years
They attacked American soil in both the Aleuts and Hawaii.
But keep thinking you're smarter than others just because you're more cynical.
retard

All thanks to the good old all american werner von braun.

ur a gay retard

other fun facts

-the gun design of the first bomb had never been tested
-if japan hadn't surrendered the USA would had to go back to conventional bombing

Hi, you must be retarded.

>All thanks to the good old all american werner von braun.
Spoils of war.
See Also: Nation of Immigrants

The Japanese were closer and had no way to stop us, they just took the bombing like a filthy whore takes a dick

Because Nazi-Germany surrendered before USA was done with thier nuclear bomb program and there was many spies in germany during the war, mostly british, so it wouldnt really work out

Thats not true at all - we had production capacity ranped yp for the land invasion , our ground troops would have landed in cities nuked a week earlier (they didnt know a lot about radiation back then)

That was a very last option. We had already planned an invasion of Japan to end the war. It was silly stupid and would have a rediculous death toll, but we would have tried that before asking anyone for help.

If you go to the D-day mueseam in New Orleans there's an entire exhibit on how we were gonna do the invasion

this is a nuke thread now

I think dropping a nuke on occupying soviets may upset the motherland.

Sometimes I wish I was in front of that fucking bomb so it could tear me apart...

BECAUSE SOMEONE NEEDS A 20 KILLSTREAK TO EARN A TACTICAL NUKE!!! nuff said

Sounds like a fun thread for you and your buddy's in R9K

Hello darkness my old friend

>asking anyone for help.
Jesus, open a book.
We wouldn't have ASKED them to help.
They would have done the same thing they did in Europe: defend against any direct attack, then sit on their hands for years, and swoop in at the last second and conquer the war-torn countryside with little resistance.
That's how they took over a third of Europe, you silly twat.

Because Japan flew planes into Pearl Harbor??

...

Piss off you indoctrinated weaboo they attacked first.

/thread

No idea what the fuck is R9K.. I'm just feeling like shit right now

>Because Japan flew planes into Pearl Harbor??
Already answered, see:

I know this is bait, but its because japan made a point to actually attack us, and the fallout from it would not harm any of our allies at the time. If we dropped it on munich, we would be killing british, irish, french and russian allies. Also the japanese have not done shit since, so it clearly worked at least a little.

Got ya. We would have invaded long before the Soviets would have gotten that close. Either way they were not our concern because even without the bomb we planned to end it without them around

Another case solved by the hacker known as "Sup Forums"

MODS clean up isle Sup Forums

Its a board on here where all the people who feel like shit go and talk about how they feel like shit.

>No idea what the fuck is R9K.. I'm just feeling like shit right now
You'll fit right in

I dont give a shit, im posting my answer anyway.

...

Honestly it wasn't a bait, I didn't know that

Because we needed to end the war b4 Russia got there and split it into north and south Japan.
Filthy commies.

hclips.com/videos/asian-girl-with-super-wet-pussy-closeup-masturbation-compilation/

>We would have invaded long before the Soviets would have gotten that close.
They live right next door to Japan.

>even without the bomb we planned to end it without them around
We would have preferred that in Europe too, but look where that got us.

no, it would have lasted months till the next bomb(s) would have been ready. next nuclear explosions were in july 46.

The real question is why isn't Mecca not a glass fucking parking lot by now? Maybe it's time the yanks should drop another one on top of some towelheads.

10/10 would nuke again

...

...

...

...

Because your mother.

...

The nips are a disease that needed to be put in its place

You don't know anything. You should really work on that. Fucking public schools, man

Why didn't they build the rest of the infrastructure out of the same material as the fucking indestructogate?

Because Germany was already destroyed by Soviets (they lost a lot of men but killed millions of soldiers), USA, UK etc.

Japan had still millions of regular soldiers and over 2 millions of reservists.
Almost all of them ready to die for the emperor.

Not to mention the presence of armed citizens..

An invasion of Japan would have cost a lot of human life (some historians talk about 1.000.000-1.500.000 people). They used an effective and quick solution.

Looks like a massive sun on the horizon.

...

youtube.com/watch?v=IZuDGkzPWVs

There were a lot of Americans of German descent living in the US, it wouldn't have gone over well. Japanese Americans? Fuck 'em, they threw those guys in internment camps on American soil.

This is pretty much it, as well as the proximity to other nations and lack of surety about the true effects and magnitude.

It's easier to annihilate people dramatically different from yourself in as many ways as possible.

read a book you degenerate teenage 4channer

Russia didn't declare war on Japan until after we dropped the bomb. The invaded Manchuria shortly after.

Russians took until September 1945 with thier war and did not reach the mainland. US invasion was planned for November 1945. US led invasion would have still beat the Russians to the island.

So yes, they were "right next door" but history shows that they would not have beat us to the island, given they didn't go there by November of 1945, and that's when we were going to invade.

Instead of using simple logic like "oh, they were right next door, look at the facts of the war. If we are going to think of hypotheticals, then you need to take all things into consideration. One could say "well if Japan had to keep fighting the US too, than Russia could have made more headway". But on the opposite of that, US may have countered by invading earlier or changing thier tactics.

I don't know of any historical evidence that says Russia was going to enter Japan's islands before or at the same time as the United States. I don't know where this notion came from other than "well maybe this would have happened"

basically it is a massive sun on the horizon

Because the nips weren't surrendering.

.... They did know about radiation and fallout.

wow. i think that is at least 1 sauronton of TNT.

they knew it was bad but didnt realize full extent until a little after

Nuke them after they surrender? I like the way you think!

Couldn't just let those Germans bomb Pearl Harbor and get away with it.

Because we were allied with European countries you fucking retard

But the Allies did ask them, at the Yalta conference.

Maybe you need to open a book

The war in Europe was over before the trinity test was finished, we didnt have it when we were still fighting germany. We dropped it on japan because japan was all about fighting until the last man standing. the americans had just reached mainland japan, so it would have took another year or 2 of conventional war to beat japan, and at that point it still wouldnt have been a surrender. Dropping those bombs sped up the war and saved many lives

Well they learned from the best, they were trying to take down the best

Nuking Japan was done to save allied troops lives,, island was heavily fortified and would've been defended by every person

2 bombs and it was done. Worked out for the nips in the long run too

No needs to nuke the nazis

this

Because Germany was too far away.

As you know, uranium is the heaviest metal. Due to this the bombs were so heavy that most of the nuclear bombs were unintentionally dropped on american soil. The aircrafts of that time simply could not carry such load for extended periods of time. Total of 25 bombs were dropped on american soil, resulting in death toll of 11500 people.

By the time U.S president Franklin D. Roosevelt(smartest american alive at that time) realized they could use aircraft carriers to get nuclear weapons closer to the enemy, the war in Germany had ended. And so those nuclear weapons reserved for Germany were used on Japan.

"Ahoy! We be the winners now, so let us celebrate as a nation. Party's at my white house."
- Franklin D. Roosevelt. 1946

As a US student of history, because plans to use the bomb were not set in motion until Truman was notified of the existence of a weapon that could deliver explosive power he couldn't have dreamed off. FDR did not inform Truman, his vice president, of a factional fracture within the party, of the existence of the bomb. Speculation says FDR probably wouldn't have used the bomb.

As early as 1900 the U.S. and Japan both recognized that control over the Pacific and the quest for oil would drive them to be at odds with each other, as both were both stepping to the plate with their first forays into Empire, Japan with participation of the opening of China and America with it's diplomatic victory in the fallout of the Spanish -American Civil War.

Also, Ivan totally took Berlin too fast for those plans I talked about inthe first paragraph to be ready for use in Europe.

The Japanese were also not quite as broken as the Germans were at that point in the war.

The firebombings of Tokyo, like Dresden, are where the real atrocities lie, as we didn't really know how fucked up dropping the bom was going to be in terms of radiation.

Honestly I think the A-bomb could have really fucked up that tectonic fault line in Japan too

Because by the time we decided to do an actually field test in combat, the war in Germany was already drawn to a close, however the Japanese were still at war with us.
>Nuking Japan was done to save allied troops lives
Bullshit, they could have just pulled back and done a mostly aerial assault of Japan with battleships protecting the carriers. It had nothing to do with saving lives and everything to do with dick waving our new found power at Russia. Don't be sold on the lie that it was to "save lives in the long run" because as fool hardy as the Imperial Japanese Army was, the other branches of the military, including the government of Japan would have surrendered regardless of what Tojo fucking wanted. Not only that but the citizens of Japan would start pressuring their government for an end to the war, eventually over throwing them if they hadn't.

that's what the american's believed at least. we probably could have done it better than that, but we didn't know then. regardless, the 2 bombs were decisively war-ending

oh yeah this guy is right too, but it's less about dickwaving and more about showing Ivan that we could vaporize them while at the same time firmly claiming japan when they clearly had been trying to fuck with japan for like 50 years at that point

>Also, Ivan totally took Berlin too fast for those plans I talked about inthe first paragraph to be ready for use in Europe.
Also this
There were too many allied soldiers in and around the important cities even if using it on Germany had crossed their minds. Also like the other user said
>FDR was still in power and did not want to use such a weapon.
>The aircraft of that time simply could not carry such load for extended periods of time
Thank heaven for ICBMs

The amount of people we would have had to draft if the war continued, and the amount of people who were going to die in the invasion would have been insane. (Some estimate over a million casualties, so actual deaths would have been in the hundreds of thousands, and the Allies would need to find a million more troops.)

It's was best strategic thought at the time to use the bomb.

Yep, not only that, but there was a commie uprising well on it's way to becoming the ruling party and turning China into the big red powerhouse it was and still is today.

Germany didn't attack pearl harbor

Because the war in Europe was over before the bomb was ready.

b8

Fun fact : The US knew Japanese plans for surrendering and peace, but decided to drop the nukes and continue Tokyo firebombing anyways.

the carpet bombings in germany were WAY WAY worse than prototype atom bombs

because dutchland didn't bomb Pearl Necklace, learn to history dickwad

Can't believe how many people think they know the answer to this and don't. This is some basic shit.

VE-Day: May 8, 1945
Trinity Detonation: July 16, 1945

The U.S. didn't have a working bomb until two months after the war in Europe ended. If you think they wouldn't have nuked Berlin given the choice, you're dumb.

>WAY WAY worse
~350k casualties as opposed to ~200k, to be precise.

I have no problem with this
