QT dj bork

The main album i have listened to and keep coming back to is Post. What are her 'similar' albums?

My friend says Bjork is music for lonely feminists. Is that true?

Debut's probably the closest you'll get to Post main album wise, but Telegram is worth a listen too.

Damn. Debut falls far short of the weirdness that i love in Post

Well there's is always the Post Live album.

Björk is music for sad, lonely, feminist, homosexuals. (Pick at least two)

>sad
>lonely
Yup

>
compare Björk to Grimes and argue
.
Grimes is the new Bjork, but both are great on their own.

>new Björk

There's still the old Björk tho.

I shouldn't reply really but nobody is the new anything, Bjork is Bjork and Grimes is Grimes. That's all I'm going to say because it just derails the thread and everything has been said a million times anyway.

More Bjork discussion please.

i'm starting to into Grimes, as a bjork fan

but there's no way she could come close to bjork

Me too. Visions is pretty cool. I have a feeling Debut would have been like it if it was made in more modern times.

Listen to her music more. You'll see she's freaking close, if not better.

i'm on the other side, i'm starting to get into björk as a grimes fan
first cd i ever bought was post, last month, so she'll always have a special place in my heart

Grimes is the new artist like Bjork. The latter changed her style quite radically after Homogenic; Grimes reminds me of '90s Bjork. See Bjork's interviews, photoshoots and music videos from that time as a proof.

Listen to Debut next. It's Bjork's own Art Angels.

Favorite song off Vulnicura and your opinion on this cover art?

I've listened to it a few times but never fully (I'm kind of lazy in listening to new albums), her songs take a few listens to click with me most of the time, so that's why i love the first 3 songs already as i've heard them more than the other ones
what a poitnless explanation though
how is it similar to art angels though? haha

I prefer the normal cover art. This one is really unpleasant (Purposefully so, but still)

quicksand

Probably History of Touches

>how is it similar to art angels though? haha
Diverse, upbeat songs mixed with some ballads, electronic, quirky.

Good but I prefer the original. Probably Stonemilker.

Stonemilker has a really nice video as well.

love that video

I'm going to bed now. Post cute borks, please.

I haven't gotten to Vulnicura yet, but there is a vagina on her chest on that cover art and it makes me really uncomfortable for some reason

Bjump

this, Debut is the closest. Maybe Volta in spirit? But I dunno

of course

History of Touches. I actually really like that cover

Vespertine is such a fucking god-tier album holy smokes! Cocoon is the epitome of comfy and my favorite song.

I don't like it.

Stonemilker or maybe Black Lake.

i don't think many people loved vulnicura on the first listen especially if you're just getting into Bjork. nonetheless, every album is different.

I love Vulnicura, the cover art is what i was referring to when I said "I don't like it"

oh my bad

Check out Live at Royal Opera House if you haven't already. Amazing concert.

what if björk posted nudes on Sup Forums and the kids stickied it

...

what if a meteor crashed through my house right now

Oh my God. I've only just started listening to her about a week ago. Or was it a month. Or a lifetime. Debut, Post, Homogenic and Vespertine blew me away.

Homogenic though. My God. Every time I listen I'm moved in a new way. Something new resonates with me based with something I've learned since the last time. Something new to meditate on, a new characteristic, a new depth, a new interpretation.

I've only had this kind of experience with Bowie's albums before. Who else is there? Who else makes music with this level of depth?

What does you guys think is her most underrated song?

Hey hey I'm 3 out of 4

always nice to see a person experiencing björk for the first time
have fun user

Family.
It might actually be my favourite Bjork song
The cover art's cool as fuck, I prefer it to the other one

I know how you feel, Bowie and Bjork are my absolute favourite artists.

She should put out a playlist every so often or something because there hasn't been anything I haven't liked so far.

Well I definitely wasn't expecting her to play Ariana Grande

I'm confused :(

whats the name of the song that's playing now? she really likes this one

Jeremih - You And I

which Ariana Grande song did she play?

thanks. i remember she was singing to it in this session @0:20

Into You

I know that feeling, firend. That album made fall in love with her. I remember the euphoric rush I got upon hearing "Jóga"for the first time. If you haven't already, check Kate Bush, she is one of the biggest influences on her. Seeing you mentioned Bowie, I always saw Björk as his female counterpart for some reason.

Nice choice. I fucking love that track. A more obscure track I really like is hyper-cute "Atlantic"
youtube.com/watch?v=LZmIBu8Vgyc

Yeah, fucking Dogme 95, such an aesthetically unpleasant movement.

I've read in many interviews that she really enjoys some contemporary pop tracks. She played Britney's "Gimme More" in a DJ set if I'm not mistaken,

...

this song is so beautiful i love you user

My favorite is Atom Dance.
My second fave is a tie between Black Lake and Mouth Mantra.
I love Vulnicura, friends.

Noooo

What happened?

it's good to have a mixture of both

>tfw no mommy gf bjork to heal you with her emotional purity

>mommy gf
Wut

>björk will never enjoy your cock
