gypsy danger: The arpy sound at 2:32 in halloween is a saw wave in massive with lots of voices and a simple delay with an lfo on dry wet and lfo on time. Yes we both have monitors. I use adam f7 monitors and my partner uses krk rokits. Even more instrumental to our mixdown process is the use of the Subpac S2. Definitely the most important piece of monitoring hardware a producer can own IMO along with decent headphones. The harmony in The Machine is one of my favourite parts in all of our pieces as well, glad to hear you enjoy that, it definitely is a teeth clencher.

Your music sounds like it needs a bit of mix clarity and direction. When I write music, I try to stray from making RAM (random ass music), and try to stick to an idea or theme. That way it's easier to edit the parts that fit and cut the parts that don't. As a result, I think you are doing too much in certain areas, but neglecting things such as just picking initial sounds that go well together or simple reductive EQ to make your sounds fit together in your mix. Your low end also lacks a significant amount of clarity. Try highpassing everything but your sub bass and your kick drum at ~150hz. That should clean up a fair bit of your mix.

Had my doubts when I first started listening but this is actually quite good. Vocals are a bit loud, but you've got a great sound going on.

I wish it sounded... bigger? There isn't a ton going on in your low end for many of your tracks. It makes it feel very empty. Besides that, I would work on the sound design of your synths a little bit. Good composition though.
