I'm thinking about becoming a Freemason, but I don't really understand what they do. Can anyone here give me a rundown on what you do?

Former Freemason here. Take my advice, don't join.

It's like a frat for old dudes

requires killing your self in a mass genocide

I'm pretty sure you have to know someone to get in, but I'm not positive. If someone can explain I would also like that.

I understand you guys are secretive, but can you give me a general idea of why joining is a bad idea?

I am also about to join. I would look into the history of it first. I know a fair amount because I have been meaning to join for a long while. What country are you joining in? Do you know lodge number/id of local lodge?

I've heard a lot of people say they just asked to join.

they are fragile

I'm curious too. I talked to one at a museum once but he basically said that they were carpenters and builders and shit. I'm sure there's more to it. I also didn't like him because I couldn't touch his "sacred freemason sword" also the fact that he came out of nowhere scared me a bit

You can sometimes just do this but there is a longer process usually with this.

I don't know the lodge idea but I'm an American in southwest Washington state.

It's really fucking boring.
I joined right after college, cause my fraternity had a loose masonic association. I believed association the edge lord bullshit, that it would help me get better jobs and pay, maybe even into polotics.

It turned out to be a old boys club, cost me more money than I got out of it.

Really boring rituals, most meetings were hoopla and political club business followed by drinking. Might as well party at an old folks home.

Did do some community service stuff, but you can find other avenues for that.

Waste of time

I know that religion and politics is banned, and women cannot join. Sounds MGTOW to me.

Kek

MY FUCKING BF BROKE UP WITH ME CAUSE MY DADS ONE..... Fml he said he couldn't fuck a "Masonic daughter" anymore

What kind of process?

Religion is banned in masons? Are you serious... In the UK many fall under UGLE (United Grand Lodge of England) and the ONLY way to join is to profess a belief in a divine being... Which obviously you can just lie (like I have)

My father, Grandfather and so forth were in the Masons and also the orange order. I was a junior in the orange aswell. I would advise you to stay well clear, my family members never spoke of what goes on, but the fact when I constantly asked they still wouldnt spill is enough to scare me off it qand whatever goes on in there.

It's a Secret Society. There are at least 33 degrees of initiation. Most members never surpass degree 3. Degree 1-3 is known as "the blue lodge", it's like kindergarten.

The entire secret society is basically an apparatus to filter out useful individuals that could benefit the society's true goals. Individuals like this are brought up further beyond Degree 3.

The 33rd degree is a meritorious reward. It can only be given to a 32nd who has demonstrated a substantial contribution to the Great Cause (also known as The Plan, The Great Work etc etc).

You WILL take strange initiation rituals that swear upon punishment of death if you reveal the secrets of the lodge. Its not a backyard barbeque hangout with a couple of guys. Its a serious and dangerous secret society.

OP here, is it an evil secret society style cult or is it just old people hanging out? I understand a great deal of masonry deals with sacred geometry.

You do have to know someone to join, though most lodges are more than willing to have recruits. While the number of people in lodges has declined there is a number of younger people now joining.

I had 3 people become masons with me and we basically are the only guys under 40 there, but already have a few more recruits interested.

Just a club of drunk white men jerking each other off.

Sounds all well and fine, but it's not secretly some satanic bullshit under the surface is it?

1. There's basically no benefit to joining. They make it seem like theyre just a community of men trying to improve the world and whatnot, and thats how it always starts out, but the deeper you get in it, the dirtier it gets.

2. It's essentially a cult, regardless of what people say. They allow you to practice whatever religion you wish to, but as a whole they worship "one figure", and they ask you to mold your religion around it.

3. Once you're in, there's no leaving. I hesitate to say I'm a "former" freemason, because I haven't really officially left the group. The reason is, once you leave, they keep their eyes on you really heavily just to make sure you dont let their secrets out.

4. It's super strict. They have guidelines that are questionable.

Super strict in what way?

They will "get to know you". What country are you from? Some will want to know you for a certian amount of time as a minimum. My lodge is an aprox. 6 month lead in from joining to actually being accepted. There is also a process known as "black balling" where your interest in joining (or application) is put before the lodge. There is then an anonymous process whithin the lodge where each member has a black ball and a white ball they will place one of these in the bag. If a single black ball is found in the bag you are "black balled" from the lodge and usually you are recommended to try another. It basically means someone in there doesn't like you or for whatever reason doesn't want you to join.

I (luckily) have a fairly young lodge but some genuinely are full of old weirdo's.

There is secret handshakes and traits etc. which you learn as you "go through the ranks".

My personal view is it's worth it but just be prepaid to be around a few odd balls every now and then (more weird people than a general other scenario)

Ignore the shit about jews, the rest is bang on

To be one ask one.

The Mason's really depend on the average age of the group and size of city. If you find a lodge that is replacing the older members with younger members at the same rate it is cool. Because then you start networking with the younger memebers for business. The older members if they are not super old can make useful introductions to more useful business people. The older members you usually just listen to their old people stories and clear their dishes for them.

no. the people at the top are all atheists. It's all about symbol with these secret orders. For example "Lucifer, light of the morning" represents LIGHT, which represents INTELLECT. They worship INTELLIGENCE above all else, which is all fine and well until you discover what it really means, which is that they are "The guardians of the secrets of the ages" and basically hoard knowledge, the knowledge needed to control everybody else.

That sounds very interesting and very dangerous at the same time, would you say it's worth it?

Thanks fam, I'll check it out.

Is that why atheists can't join because of the one figure thing? Literally, they don't let in

1. A fool.
2. The senile
3. An atheist.

They go out of their way to compare me to and idiot or people who lost their senses.

You hang from trees like the niggers

OP join Opus Dei
My mother raised me in Opus Dei and would take me to their centers in Rome twice a year. I learned to like it. Kinda intense though.

My uncle on my dads side is Freemason, Idk what they do but he got me a sick apartment across from one of their buildings library things.

opusdei.org/en-us/

I'm not catholic.

TRIPS

No, it's not because the "the great work" they're trying to bring about is roughly going to be a one world, totalitarian socialist government. It's not going to be a good thing for you, for me, or for millions upon millions of people. It will, if successful, be the worst hell ever imaginable. Freedoms we take for granted now will not even be a thought in this "utopian world".

You should join caesars legion instead.
Ave. True to Caesar

Ahh, sounds like I'm not gonna be a mason then, thank you for the answer. I'm on the exact opposite ideological spectrum as them.

How can it be atheists if they won't even let us in?

Don't worry, not everyone is perfect.

They do let atheists in, you just have to define atheism.

You use the socialist like it is a bad thing.

I'm more of an NCR kind of guy.

if you don't understand what they do, than search for the next lodge in your area, and ask them. It's that simple.

Profigate.

It is a horrible thing dip shit

They drink the blood of newborn infants. Hail Satan.

Why did it take so long for a stonecutter reference? Fuck sakes.

nah it's just another idea system kiddo
national socialism is top tier

...

...

No a true free market is top tier

no thanks. i'm good

>true free market
>TRUE
>FREE
>MARKET
>"""""FREE""""""
i don't think you know what that is, son

why cant you just say "hey im leaving" and leave

I do but alright fuck face probably some lazy fuck with no job who wants others to pay for all your shit

really? explain the controlled substances act. the government says individuals can't grow a plant and sell it... i think you have no idea what ""FREE TRADE"" is you just think you do faggot

Sounds like Scientology.

...

In a free market the government doesnt control any aspect of the market dip shit

youtube.com/watch?v=H5rL3I1QFE0

...

and that doesn't exist anywhere on the planet now, nor has it existed at any point in time.
any questions dip shit?

sounds butt hurt cant grow and sell weed because of government, wants bigger socialist government, you sir a a fucking retard

...

>wants bigger socialist government,
i said nothing about wanting a "bigger government" how about you kill yourself?
>can't grow weed
yeah that is the least of my worries but it is easy enough because idiots like you think you know what the word "FREE" means but you really don't

Free means not under the control or in the power of another; able to act or be done as one wishes its not a hard word, maybe for you but not for most

SHALL

so why do you think you are free? or why do you support a "free market" because that is used by the people who specifically do not want you to have freedom.

free doesn't exist idiot boy it's just an illusion

NOT

I dont think im free at all, i want smaller government and less restrictions, thats why I dont support socialism in any form its ultimate goal is communism

I also don't like little boys so I think that disqualifies me.

so you are saying that hitler was a communist? no he was a national socialist
you need to do some more reading before your next sociology 101 lecture

As a 5th generation (that I know of) mason, I can tell you that it is about helping others.
I am not one, but ask a "Shriner" about what they do. They are easy to identify at festivals etc for their outrageous costumes on purpose.

oh yeah shriners are so great because they donate to children's hospitals
never mind the zionist subversion and globalist agenda though

My lodge is pretty laid back. We are pretty well networked with a lot of nearby lodges and we all get together as help each other as much as possible.

Unless your totally fundamentalist it's not gonna interfere with your religion. Actually it's quite biblical really. Though in a generic sense. I'm a 4th gen Mason and it's basically a club.

Like I said, I am not one. But I do have respect for the fact that their hospitals are free of charge to the children that they care for.

What degree?

Well its more like you dont speak about it or discuss it in masonic business,

Lol "dangerous" my ass. I'm descended from masons. They're a bunch of old farts. They can't even email. I think they want me to join. Would be neat I guess but fuck that I'm too busy playin video games and having an amazing job I love.

3rd for me. Dad finished his York Rites and starting Scottish.

I would ask you for a word.....but since this is a medium of print/type I'm not sure we can?

the word is :dingleberry

Ask me for a word? What do you mean by that?

LoL. It's just a little something Masons do. It's how we know it when we meet another Mason. It's part of the first degree.

Not so sure how that works on the internet.

We can't talk details unless it's to another Mason who proves it.

Me neither. There's so much about Masons that public knowledge anyhow. What we do is public. Our only secrets are our meetings, but it's none of anyone else's business really.

He's acting like a cool sneaky guy. How about "ARE YOU A MASON!???" That works.

Even spongebob had one

That OP wants to join, but doesn't know what he is joining is pretty telling.
All the Sup Forumsest to you OP.
good luck in your quest.

Thanks man, I'm gonna do as much research as possible before making a decision.

Join the Shiners instead.

is this a troll?

Dad was a part of the Freemasons, said each one depends some have entry only for people who are invited others allow you to join. Google it, that will tell you a lot. I was once interested in joining but eventually gave up
