Well B, I just lost an arm at the shoulder. My right one. Was in a car accident, I'm lucky to be in as good of shape as I am with barely a scratch outside of the arm.

Everyone is telling me I'm taking it really well and is offering me counseling resources but I don't know I just don't feel that upset. Don't get me wrong I liked my arm and if I could have it back I'd take it but the whole mess isn't really bothering me that much.

Getting used to using my right hand is pretty interesting. My hobbies aren't going to be too impacted, I like to shoot but I always preferred a good pistol anyway. Looks like plenty of people can ride motorcycles with one arm. I even sort of like my new asymmetrical figure.

Yeah my arm was destroyed and amputated, whatever let's go get high.

shrek 'em

Thats a left arm you fucknut

Really I'm more pissed that all my good tattoos were on that arm.

HIGH AS FUCK. Jerked it yet? Hope life doesn't get you down too hard. Learn the drums and be a Def Leppard fill in?

Its a fucking severed arm you dicklessshitbag who cares?

HA. Fill. *ba dum pish*

Hell yeah I have. Righty works just fine.

Er lefty

> Getting used to using my right hand is pretty interesting.

yeah the fun part about losing the use of a limb is that you get to learn all sorts of cool new stuff about biomechanics as you compensate.

tbh I wanna replace my left leg with a prosthetic but it hasn't degraded enough for them to be ok amputating it. I think the challenge of building a functional leg sounds fun. Someday I'll do it.

are you gonna try and get a biomechanical arm?

kek

I guess you lost some weight technically, good for you m8

If you're into that sort of thing, you just got opened up to a whole new level of cosplay.

I mean, you are going to suck even more at video games, if that's your thing. And you're going to have a hell of a time driving anything other than an automatic car (and even then).

Good luck, OP.

Suppose you're gonna find it difficult to pass the dutchie on the left hand side

Yea man with modern technology , you're gonna be fine. :)

Are you going to use your lost arm as a dildo and suck it up your ass?

Hot

I bet it took you an hour to type up this thread

I've been allways thinking what is it like to loose an arm. And if it was for sure I'm gonna get an artificial one, I'll maybe loose it voluntarily

What about video games fam?

Kek'd

He always played them with his feet

Tits or gtfo

OP lost his arm when it was shoulder-deep in grandma and she sucked it up her boo-tee

yea you typed i lost my right arm and then say getting used to using my Right arm, hope lose the other arm u goon

chicks dig one armed badasses

Yeah totally! Im still pretty sore and doped up but I'm really excited about building or customising a prosthetic. I don't care too much how it looks but I really would just like something I hold stuff with.

I've been thinking of a "hand" made of three needle nose vice grips dipped in plasticote so they could individually hold things or shut and work as 2 big fingers and a thumb

Thats why he said using the right was weird you mong

Sorry about your arm...you should walk around at parties and tell women you are touching their ass with your phantom limb

All long as you can still jerk off there is hope user.

Yes. I will do this frequently.

Check out backyard brains for some tutorials on how to do myoelectric control. You can use surface electrodes to pull signals right off of existing muscles and drive a prosthesis. It's not as cool as the direct nerve interface stuff you could do in a lab with surgical access but it's still pretty damn cool.

Stay strong Sup Forumsro, I have a friend who lost his left arm same as you a few years ago.
He was a bit pissed off but just got on with it, I'm getting that vibe from your post.
He fishes plays tennis basically if he could do it before the accident he will try and do it now.

Bit of advice, don't get angry at yourself when/if you cant do something simple
Adapt and confront my friend

also may be a bit soon but have you looked at any bionic prosthetic very advanced these days look in to when you have chance.

time to get a new one

Yeah typing is annoying. Not something I really care too much about though. My handwriting with my old hand was shit anyway

Kek a good attitude about something on Sup Forums.
Haven't seen that shit in a while.

>phantom limbs

...

>I just lost an arm at the shoulder. My right one.

>Getting used to using my right hand is pretty interesting.

Pick one

Said you lost your "right arm", but are getting used to using your "right" hand....so which is it OP?

Hive mind

amputees get well paid for movies and TV, war films and shit like that

post pics

And that's why you always keep both eyes on the road

Aww thanks! Yeah I'm not even mad. I had always thought this would be a bigger deal but it just isn't.

My cousin lost his non dominant arm at the elbow in Iraq and was a total baby about it. Whats the use getting upset about a limb I can't regrow?

Some simple stuff just presents challenges it didn't before but whatever using ingenuity to overcome those things is more fun than taking for granted how easy they were before.

How itchy is that phantom limb? Driving you insane yet?

What's B

You lost the wrong arm. You can't do a Winter Soldier cosplay correctly now.

just for the scientific aspect, I have taught myself to write, masturbate and wipe my ass with my left hand. It's taken a while with the wiping thing but it's possible

Yeah isn't wiping your ass oddly hard? I never knew so much dexterity was involved.

Here's a little known fact about humans OP.

When shit gets real and the quality of life of a person is severely degraded through injury or sickness they will go through a time of grieving that may take 6 months to a year but always they will return to a baseline of content.

A lot of paraplegics aren't depressed messes, they're pretty content people.

And I reckon you will go through grievance, just give it a week or 2, maybe not let's see

Tfw you'll never be, "all right. "

Fuckin shit. Oh well.

Costumes in general will be pretty awesome from here on out.

yeh man i dont get ppl . why to be upset ? upset that you lost youre arm but not your life ?
any way good prosthetics are all ready made just in few years will be affordable for everyone

fuggn kek'd

tbh i really respect your attitude! I probably woulda jumped in front of a speeding train by now.

Well sounds like you have the right outlook on it, good luck in life Sup Forumsro.

If you ever do this pl0x post a pic here sounds cool as fuck.

Also thread proves we can still have a civil discussion on Sup Forums.

pic unrelated

just wait a few years and get a 3d printed roboarm thing

Its just an arm.
