I've smashed the entire King Crimson back catalogue and listened around to a fair bit of 70s stuff (yes, pink floyd, gentle giant, jthro tul, early genesis etc) but none of it really hits me like Larks Tongues in Aspic or Red.
Is there any other good prog from that era that I'm really missing?
Is there any modern prog worth anything other than Steven Wilson?
General prog discussion, favourite albums etc please respond.

is Yes good?

Well even if it's dead there might be some good ones I've just not found yet.
Close to the edge is a fucking masterpiece, Fragile is OK. I haven't found anything else that I consider to be good.

So you like King Crimson, huh? Listen to pic related. And yes, there are good prog bands. Airbag, Beardfish, Anekdoten, Anglagard, Riverside just to mention a few

Don't really know what includes 'etc' but I'm gonna throw in Camel and Van der Graaf Generator anyway. Godbluff is one of my favorite albums of all time.

I've tried Camel and Mirage. Quite enjoyable, Camel feels like a journey. But it doesn't have much bite in my opinion.
I havent tried VdGG yet but I'll give it a crack at some stage.
