I just can't stop listening to shoegaze. For this whole month I've pretty much only listened to shoegaze and I need more.
Liking shoegaze a lot recently too. Looking for some good dream pop. Also, what are some good bands that are touring the West Coast right now?
me too buddy, love it to death
beach house - bloom
melody's echo chamber
Well shit, they aren't coming anywhere near me
Pia Fraus just released their first new song in 8 years.
soundcloud.com

7,5/10
- i am not fan of japanese feels unless they come from japan
+ Album art by fucking Fortifem
Overall pretty solid album, but I like everything from Alcest.
I also fucking love Untouched. That song is great and makes my dick hard
Shoegaze gives me ASMR. The zzz sound is blessing.
I had a dream that Slowdive released their reunion album and I don't remember what it was called but the cover was a white and foggy forest but the album was slightly shoegaze-y alternative dance
Im really into Fleeting Joys, Astrobrite and LSD. Astrobrite is the noisiest ill go. Im looking for more female vocals in this vain. Any obvious albums i should listen to?
cocteau twins - heaven or las vegas
Cocteau Twins - Treasure
Pinkshinyultrablast - Everything Else Matters
Broadcast - Tender Buttons
Thanks ill give them a listen
total noob here, who the fuck is Bastian Dansk ?

Reccing: Birds - Ceremony
I listened to this the first time this week and it's amazing. More noise popish but it's got some good walls as well.
Anyone else hear anything really good recently?
...
I know
>pitchfork
But still.. take a look. Sorry if I'm slow haven't been on Sup Forums in a bit
pitchfork.com
Sup Forums was all in a buzz about how shit the list was when it was first released
Anyone else really like Methodrone? I've been playing it non-stop
To sum up Sup Forums's thoughts:
>no astrobrite, skywave, etc.
>no proto shoegaze
>the top 3 are always the same but nothing can replace them
>catherine wheel shouldn't be that high
What's your opinion about this album?
>good dream pop
Deerhunter - Halcyon Digest, Microcastle
Candy Claws - Ceres And Calypso
Sound of Ceres (I'm pretty sure they're just rebranded Cand Claws) - Nostalgia for Infinity
The Fauns - s/t
pretty much everything the Cocteau Twins ever released
I dunno, look at the dream pop sections in the shugazi charts if you haven't listened to these
I thought it was ok. Their last release is better.
where is deafheaven
one of the few good shoegaze albums that I know of not from Europe, the US, or Japan
great album when really strung out and depressed
Speaking of non Europe, US, or Japan /shugazi/, here's a lovely dream pop collab song between Faye Wong and Cocteau Twins
youtube.com
(included the playlist in case anyone wants to listen to the full album)
I need to expand my shoegaze taste.
Post your three fav /shugaze/ songs.

This Aussie band Contrast put out a great EP a couple years back. Hopefully have an album out soon.
Scott is the saviour of shoegaze
I'm in the same boat.
Problem is, I feel obnoxious about it. Is 4 days worth of shoegaze albums too much or not enough?
The Radio Dept - Running Out of Love

Probably the first gaze album I ever listened to. Anyone else like it?
Just listened to Jesu s/t, where do I go from here with blackgaze/doomgaze/whatever the fuck gaze
their second album Conqueror
oh and also
youtube.com
i wish i was underaged, im 25 and too old to be going through this bullshit
That exact part of Emergency Turn Off is like a hit of crack for me
Love this album. Yuck has a lot to offer honestly.
Get Away is consistently stuck in my head
What's some shugazi with a really bittersweet but uplifting feeling, kinda like
youtube.com
or that one Coldplay song
I know a lot of shoegaze is melancholic but I'm looking for a specific melancholic but calming and optimistic feeling if that makes sense
Is there anymore like this, maybe a bit more surf rock inspired? Plz rec and I'll check it out.
youtube.com
UH not quite, I'm thinking with this kinda rising bass line but that was still great. I'll still have to check that album out
alright, let me try again. Is this closer to what you're looking for? youtube.com

i wish there was a shoegaze band that covered bands like the smiths, joy division and the cure
There is.
Another Green World is a solo project and his work is so, so, soooo amazing.
soundcloud.com
Here's his amazing cover of disorder.
thanks!
Finnish: youtube.com
but still didn't cover the smiths or the cure
More albums that sound like Whitenoise Superstar?
yoyoyo
Anybody else going out tonight to trick or treat?
Dreamy nostalgia is the most patrician emotion
Just take any happy shoegaze album and turn the speakers up until they clip
>오후 3시 - 꿈에 카메라를 가져올걸
I thought I was the only one who loved this
Anything touched by my man Scott Cortez.
Not really, he has some less noisy stuff, especially the releases outside of astrobrite
You know, I expected this to not sound as much like Cindy Lee as it did
There are probably cover songs of those bands out there, I don't know why there would be a band specifically choosing to covers those artists though. Like if I had a shoegaze project, why would I wanna do that? There are probably guys who take those influences, but those are kind of predictable artists to cover, you know? Also most guys don't even do covers..
Agreed. Weaker than their early stuff. Can't wait to see them live though.
Haven't listened to them yet. Why are they brought up so much? Seems like opinions on them from the community are pretty mixed, I think I've seen their albums on charts and stuff too.
Bedhead's cover of Disorder will always be the best
(prove me wrong, i wanna listen to more disorder covers)
...
That would interrupt time to shoegaze.

Vaadat Charigim sings in Hebrew

wish this band got brought up more here, their first album is one of my favorites
Nadja's When I see the Sun Always Shines on TV
>Brindle
Such a perfect song, that's like their masterpiece to me.
There isn't much stuff out there that's so purely abstractly beautiful.
Brindle was definitely the stand-out song on my first listen of the album
Listened to Spaceheater/Perfect Interior yesterday, and while not as noisy it feels like I couldn't have picked a better time of the year to listen to it. Perfect autumn album and some of the droney bits really reminded me of Phil Elverum's works, which was a pleasant surprise.
