Dont skip meals, focus more on fruits and veggies, fish is good. Drop soda completly, youll be surprised at how badly soda fucks up our bodies.Choose a favorite food you like and designate a day to eat it, but dont over do it, just reasonable portions.Also dont force yourself to overwork. start small and work your way up, also dont bother with weights, building muscle under your fat cant make the process take longer.

Persistance is easier to keep if you work out in a way you like. Lift weights, it boosts metabolism. Start doing a sport if you cant be bothered to walk/run and ditch the soda. Stay away from fatty/sugary treats.

Ditch the car if you can, buy a bike if you can, weigh yourself routinely and appreciate every part of the process.

Also use elipticals instead of tread mills, it works out more parts of your body, plus the machine supports your weight when you get tired, while a tread makes you support yourself.
If your gym has a pool, try swimming or water aerobics, it gets your muscles active with out all the strain regular work outs put on

Everyone you ask will give you a different diet or work out regime on the best way to lose weight. None of it fucking matters. Here's the secret OP.

Use more calories than you gain and you will lose weight. How you do it is irrelevant, find something that works for YOU and that YOU enjoy otherwise you are just going to lose motivation really quick and nothing will happen.

1.) Figure out your RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate), There are multiple calculators online. Basically how many calories a your body needs per day just to function, or how many you will burn by doing literally nothing.

2.) Figure out how many calories you intake a day on your current diet.

3.) Figure out how many calories you will burn a day with a workout you will enjoy, make sure to include your RMR.

4.) Is the Calorie burn required to lose weight more working out than you are willing to do? Then that means you need to cut food or alter your diet.

Congratulations, you are now losing weight with relative ease.

The hardest part is just changing up one thing at a time to clean up your diet; this is so you don't binge. Secondly, is also figuring out what cardio you actually like the most and doing that. Don't focus too much on muscle gains, ideally you want to start your gym routine with stretching first, then weights then cardio. Depending on your weight elliptical/cycling will be less harsh on your body then treadmills. Just don't focus on anyone else either then yourself, unless you're going with friends. It's your body you put the work you want into it, people are going to stare, but aslong as you get some really good music or get in the zone you'll be fine.

Also dont get discouraged if you dont see results at first, like one user said it takes persistance.
Also , you need to think about what your target weight is. Lets be honest, you fucked your body over. When you lose weight, youll notice skin sag, the more weight you lose the saggy it will get. Granted , there are things you can do to decrease it, but nothing to take it way completly.Look into skin removal surgery, and save up. Im not saying you should just go for that option,but when you get to your ideal body size, it will be a great reliefto have that option ready for you, than have to wait another year to save up money when youve already spent so much time fixing yourself.

It's the main reason men have an easier time losing weight than women - more muscle means a higher base metabolic rate, which means you burn more calories by sitting on the couch doing nothing. Also people who gain muscle while losing weight are more likely to keep the weight off permanently.

Sure you can eat 500 Calories of lettuce or ice cream, but you will be eating lettuce for a long ass time to reach 500 compared to not even 1 serving of ice cream which would have close to 500 or over 500.

The whole point is you can actually eat whatever the fuck you want if you don't go over the caloric number you have chosen, but if you eat shit food you will barely be eating anything.

This is what I did a while back and it worked for me.

I've been eating rice and wheat products all my life. Thai rice, Indian rice, Japanese rice, etc, you name it. If there was no rice, the 2nd best thing was bread products. Ciabatta, rolls, baguette, naan, buns, etc. Noodles, pasta, curry's, etc. I was hooked. There was no balanced diet.

Then, after seeing my room mate diet, he insisted I follow the same diet. Diet differs from person to person. I knew that It doesn't work that way, but I decided to play along.

I stopped eating rice and rice products. I stopped eating bread and bread products I stopped drinking coke/pepsi. I stopped eating potato and potato products.

All I ate was:

2 eggs without the yellow in the morning with a glass of milk.

Crunchy salad with 2 whole eggs or a portion of grilled fish / chicken and salad dressing.

Grilled chicken, or lamb, or beef steak or pork, Along with steamed vegetables like broccoli, carrots, peas, cauliflower, brussel sprouts and a spoonful of gravy splashed on top of it.


I counted and followed this diet for 35 days and my trousers which were always tight began to slip. I could see a bit difference. I would walk a bit longer without getting tired. It was significant.

But as a dogs tail curves on its own, I couldn't resist the temptation of fries. And I slowly started having them. One thing led to another and I'm back on my normal diet.

Sad but true. I intend to start this again soon.

Use a calorie counter app like my fitness pal to keep a track of what you're eating. That will help you a lot

Also. If you lift weights you'll be able to eat a high protein diet to put those calories to use building muscle. The Protein and fats you'll need to rebuild will fill you up. It'll feel better than starving yourself.
