>Spikes

billy not really, by far

inanimate sensation or get got is probably in 2nd

>inanimate sensation
post yfw you first heard it

Your body has a tendency to move along to DG songs

You come from a rock/punk background. Your first experiences with hip-hop are tracks with beats that go fucking hard

FUCK I FORGOT ABOUT THAT ONE

Im changing beware to it

...

I move a lot to music but especially death grips, my roomie makes fun of me for it

Top 5, in no particular order

>Up My Sleeves
>Known For It
>Blackjack
>Lock Your Doors
>Why A Bitch Gotta Lie

This is why I go to my condominium's fire exit, and listen to DG at max volume while convulsing like Ride

EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

My man

God knows how many times I almost fell down the steps when reverse skipping to Why A Bitch Gotta Lie

You're not totally wrong, I do like hip hop that goes hard and I do come from a rock background

face melter

Shit, I actually got these right lmao

exceptional taste my friend

Contrarian song choices

You consider Andy Morin the best DG member

Anyone else really like thru the walls?

you're fucking good at this
do you just hang around these dg threads doing this?

(IM A) big dipper big dipper big dipper

bass rattles stars out the sky

up my sleeves

the part in billy not really with the flutes

world of dogs + lock your doors

lil boy

hacker

anne bonny (cant believe nobodys said this one yet)

Im overflow

Government plates. Actually, just all of government plates is my favorite dg song.

Whenever people start posting Top 5 DG songs

You've made your own electronic music before

You also have a tendency to rewind and repeat specific parts of DG songs

What do you think about Big House? I lose it when he whispers it in my ear

I feel like too many times no one gets to talk about GP because they are just called contrarian

not that guy, but big house is fucking great, and gp is my fav dg.

Not that guy, but Big House fucking bangs. One of the high points of GP. Fucking finally someone talks about Big House

Do you know any other songs that sound like the first part, second part, and all of Big House?

>You've made your own electronic music before
Nope.
>You also have a tendency to rewind and repeat specific parts of DG songs
Yep. I've probably replayed just the second verse of up my sleeves hundreds of times. The part with the pause, then the beat drops with the laughter and then TSK TSK TSK. That shit gets me.
I love it. I love the drums during that part too, and those weird whistling synths peppered throughout the song. That album is flawless, front to back I love every second of it.

Ive been listening to dg for a while now, since I think around whenever nldw came out, but I never really followed any online discussion of it until recently. I had no idea so many people didn't like government plates, it really surprised me. Its my favorite DG project, with niggas on the moon a close second. I get called a contrarian a lot.

I also think money store is one of their weakest projects though, so that probably doesnt help.

You guys are true big house bros

You big house bro too even tho i love catchy grips like TMS

Spread eagle cross the block

I'M A
SHITTY STRIPPER

>Nope
Welp, can't guess right all the time

>I've probably replayed just the second verse of up my sleeves hundreds of times. The part with the pause, then the beat drops with the laughter and then TSK TSK TSK. That shit gets me.
Fucking same my dude. I also do this on Why A Bitch Gotta Lie when Ride's voice gets fucking robotic, and to a lesser extent Known For It

Gratz familia

You're at the point where you fully appreciate the aesthetic and sound of Death Grips. Other opinions don't matter, you fucking love DG and everything they have done so far.

You love Death Grips from a songwriting standpoint and how they progress a song as a whole, instead of picking up the catchiest parts

Kill V. Maim

Houdini

No other song other than Stockton bangs as hard in the whip

Also with the following DG has in the music community I can't think of a band more deserving of some remixes, please!

You're in the wrong containment thread

oh god I forgot about Houdini. Probably my favorite track off Bottomless pit. Houdini and three bedrooms are so fucking good.

Not my favorite song, but I think Face Melter is pretty underrated by dg fans. I love the weird printer noises the beat is based around, the synthy horns, and that vocal sample breakdown after each verse.

>no love
>hacker
>system blower
>up my sleeves
>thru the walls

Shit yeah Three Bedrooms is another that's a relentless listen, the subwoofer dances to that shit, recommended

Culture shock with I'm god
I want it I need it with feel good inc
Come up and get me with come and get it
Natural milk hotel, smash mouth, and death grips mashup
Swimming pools with i forget what death grips song is cool too

Best ones desu

three bedrooms is a fucking banger
>SHE GOT SOLAR PANELS
>FOR 30 CENTS A WATT

>up my sleeves
>thru the walls
I like these two just because theyre one of the few times rides lyrics get pretty personal and real. A lot of dg songs touch on themes of paranoia and disconnection from society in some way, but these two tracks are different in that they feel more grounded and pointed, instead of the directionless anger in their other songs.

You drive to Death Grips

Cool senpai I'll have to look these up
The NMH and Smash Mouth one sounds like like some meme shit so I hope it's not

The ringing percussion hook after the pre chorus is what gets me, so good

>The NMH and Smash Mouth one sounds like like some meme shit so I hope it's not
you're going to be dissapointed

the transition from 5D to it is hype

*AIR HORN*

You right

The breakdown wrecks my subwoofer

DG is one of your main outlets of expressing anger. You shout along to Ride

You're a fan of their older stuff I see. I assume you also come from a punk/metal background, and DG was the perfect bridge to experimental music

You also shout along to Ride. You rap along to Eh more times than you'd like to admit

>New Zealand here so idk if I'll ever get to see DG live.
DESU I'd expect them to come to Strallya or NZ before coming to Poland, but man, I was in for a big surprise. Bought a ticket as soon as it was on sale.

and your post just reminded me of how many good tracks I missed

tfw liturgy is dungeon synth but no one wants to admit it

>You're a fan of their older stuff I see. I assume you also come from a punk/metal background, and DG was the perfect bridge to experimental music
Your assumptions are partially correct, I was into experimental from a long time, to be frank. I was listening to some older nu-metal bands when I was a kid, then I became fairly fascinated and moved over to electronic and experimental, and then I discovered DG.

Also a big fan of Satie and Debussy for some contrast. Things you've said about other anons, are also true regarding to me.

That was a good mix of hot and cold read.

>that wordfilter
looks like I wasn't posting on Sup Forums for much longer than I thought

>The Cage
>Black Dice
>Big Dipper
>Whatever I want
>No Love
>Why a Bitch Gotta Lie

I was probably spot on with you in terms of taste. Always listened to Nu-Metal, then switched to electronic and experimental. Came back to punk and 80's after listening to Death Grips and more mainstream hip hop

checked

Consistent correct guesses. I listen to too much Death Grips kek

>Up My Sleeves
>Billy Not Really
>Spikes
>Lord of the Game
>Birds

You think Andy is the best DG member, you fucking love what he does with the synths. You loved DG for the catchy hooks

You also love Thru the Walls to a lesser extent.

I really do actually, that would probably be like, #7

that song gets me so hyped, it's like a demented Jet Set Radio track

yeah DESU I keeps my hopes high :)

Jet Set Radio?

>DG is one of your main outlets of expressing anger. You shout along to Ride

Holy fuck.
I haven't before, but I have to try hard to restrain myself from kicking shit over and shouting along all the time.
Nice.

JSR soundtrack, I've rediscovered this game one year ago...

duuude...

Go express anger now. No Love, Hot Head, Takyon, and most of Jenny Death is my go to for extremely angry DG

Whatever I want
