Not sure if /dark/ can help me out gearwise but could you guys recommend me a simple drum machine to cop? I want something braindead simple, cheap sounding (and cheap in other ways) and with an analog feel of some sort. Think Suicide's S/T, Young Marble Giants or the TR-808 without the huge pricetag, something in that ballpark.
