anyone heard this?
I'm starting to learn how to produce music. I've got frooty loops and only have access to a computer. What are some good synths or samples to use for minimal wave?
haven't gotten around to it. Is it good?
Analog synths m8
coming in here to say I listened to both In the Flat Field and Only Theatre of Pain. Both were pretty bad.
Killing Joke s/t and Treasure by Cocteau Twins are both 9/10
Pic related is a strong 7 musically but the historical context bumps it up to pretty much 9/10.
>but the historical context bumps it up to pretty much 9/10.

What to heck
elaborate.
historical context is definitely a valid aspect of artistic appreciation.
well first you have to define the historical context of the album
no I don't... unless you're telling me to define the concept of historical context in general. in which case we're done here.
Why does historical context bump Joy Division to a 9, but not Bauhaus or Christian Death.
My nigga... What the fuck
Thoughts on Dead Can Dance?
Tried a few albums, can't get into them
historical context jumps bauhaus and christian death to strong 6's

I listened to their first album, didn't particularly like it, and then listened to one of their newer neoclassical albums and absolutely hated it. Could anyone recommend me darkwave that isn't neoclassical?
Post punk is just a bunch of people trying way to hard.
I don't really get all those subgenres. I think Clan of Xymox is considered darkwave though, check out their debut or Medusa.
