Hey Sup Forums just lost my job and I was wondering if you guys had suggestions for jobs to get for a high school graduate that has a lot of opportunity to move up and pays more than 10$ an hour? No stripping or gay things thanks :3

mailmen make like 60k no college

I know like 6 mailmen in my family

Wow really? Just like the Postal Service drivers? That's pretty good :o

Yeah but you have to take a test (for USPS)

UPS also hires people and promotes them to drivers after a while

Hm, I'll look into that thanks a bunch :D also nice dubs

except being a mailman is hard as shit

oh yeah well that too. most of them had their knees replaced

no joke, go work for a bank. except credit unions Anywhere in the financial industry except inside of branches. Work hard and you'll be 20-30+ easy in a few years.

at least that is how it's working out for me now. Started taking CS calls at 18 immediately after high school, now im 23 making $76k. Obviously i'm not taking calls anymore, but had a few promotions to say the least lol

What exactly do you mean except inside the branches? I always think of bank jobs as being like a teller or something. I've also heard it's hard to get bank jobs, is that even true?

REALLY?? Wow that literally sounds perfect for me Jesus. What bank do you work for? Was it hard to get hired? What kind of requirements were there?

FedEx

U didnt do nuffim?

Free loader!!

By except branch jobs, I mean working inside of the corporate offices. Wherever they have their call centers. Banks always promote within in these environments and with the positive attrition, they are hiring at least 50-75 people a month just in my line of business. Being in this industry, I have heard it is the same exact way with every big bank. There are no requirements to get into these entry level jobs, they start everyone out at least $15 an hour, most of the time more if you have any experience elsewhere.

Bus boy at catering halls. I know a guy who has a GED who does that, he's 33 and has a son. I did that gig for four days, I got payed 17 an hour working 6 hours. Its seasonal shit but if you do good, they will call you frequently.

Stop being a minion and create your own job you pathetic little knot.

Where do you live btw?

Get your CNA and try out nursing.
You can get more certifications and start rolling in serious dough if it turns out you like it.

This would be nice but at 20 I have no idea where or what to even do to start this :)

I live in San Antonio Texas c:

you could be a gay stripper?

So you're saying I should try to get a job as a customer service rep at a call center for a bank? And work hard to move up? I think I would be down for that! What kind of work do you do now ?

Someone didn't read the Original posting!

I started as a sorted, and after they knew i wasnt going to steal shit and that i didnt have warrents, and had no driving violations they bumped me up to driver.
Your entire day is layed out for you, you're just a cog in a freashly oiled maching every day
Do it op

This seems like a viable option however I don't see any positions for drivers open in my area :(

Well also currently there aren't sorter positions available, or at least it said online that they aren't doing anymore testing for it or something along those lines.

Start as a sorter. Unless you have driving exp,and/or a commerical license, you wont go straight in to a driver position

i've heard that working for your local credit union is a good gig.

Yeah, I'll keep an eye on it. Hopefully a spot opens up :3

I may look into this as well, even though there was a guy earlier saying that it's best to avoid inside bank branches and credit unions lol, any idea how they pay?

That is exactly what i'm saying. It worked out well for me, so I know others can do it too. If you put your mind to it, they will give you what you deserve. Right now, I actually manage all reporting and analytics for the entire mortgage side of the bank i'm at. I pull data from servers, and collaborate with execs on different trending metrics and come up with business initiatives to drive said statistics in the necessary direction.
It may not sound fun, but for what they are paying me, and how well I perform, I'm good to go haha. It's funny too, all of my peers and everyone I work with is twice my age, they ask how old I am and are shocked every time. Do it man, find some call centers around you, and start applying. Dont go through one of those contracting companies.

Holy shit that sounds amazing. I would say I am smarter than the average Joe so I will absolutely give this a shot. Do you have any suggestions for companies to prioritize?

Yeah no. Credit unions are garbage. It's like working for a mom and pop shop. Credit unions usually have no developed process around any decisions they make. "Oh hey that sounds like a good idea, let's do it". But in this case, that idea, is cutting your pay. lol. Dont do it. If you decide to go to a credit union, do whatever you can to work outside of it. Branch Employees are scum of the industry. Obviously they are the face for each institution. but until you work in the field, you won't necessarily understand.

Thanks user I appreciate the insight I'll avoid those :D

Like are there banks that you would say are better than others in regards to promotion and stuff like that?

Yeah man, keep that attitude and you'll do just fine. You will notice, once hired, the people around you are old, and they don't give a shit, they are just there for a check and they know their lives are over. Starting out young and working your way up, you wont even need a degree.
Honestly in this case, you need to see if BAC, WF, or JP has call centers in San Antonio. I know there are a ton in Plano and DFW. But do some research. if either of the three have a call center around you, apply for every "Customer Service Rep" or "back office rep" role you see. Just get your foot in the door. After your 1 year of employment, you can go anywhere you want. the possibilities are endless.

Seriously user thanks a lot I appreciate the tips I'm gonna save your response and do my best to get into that position! You've helped me more than you know :3

For sure man, no problem, it's nice to see someone trying to better themselves instead of gargling dick and bagging groceries. like wtf.
To tell you the truth, any of the 3 institutions I listed above will have very similar processes in regards to promotions and moving up in general. Just get in somewhere. If things aren't as great as you hope, you can hop to another bank at or above the level you were at with the prior.

Yeah that sounds good. Yeah I've never understood the people who fucking work a minimum wage job until they are 30 like wtf. I mean before this I did auto glass replacement and the money was Ok but there wasn't much room to move up so I got out.

Yeah. Postal service jobs can pay for your education outright if you decide to move on afterwards too. If theres postal jobs going, take em.

Garbage man
$18 /hr

Wtf?! It's hard to walk around and carry ten pounds of paper? Get fucking real

No factorys ? Easy work , great pay , packages. If you have any kind of brain, they will try to promote you so fast. Working at one now. 3 promos less then 8 months. Teaching me automation, injection molding, got a forklift lic. That can carry you to other jobs well also. All free. With just a lil work n effort. 25 28k not even a yr in

Yeah man it's insane..... Not a problem though, best of luck to you for sure.
Sire note: the dude above me talking about paying for your education, the bank im at gives us $6k a year for school. They dump it right into our checks. (Just gotta provide proof). That is like one of 60 benefits you get. if I were to list them all you'd walk into a random spot tomorrow and beg them to hire you.

Rq, make sure you smash the interview. fucking up the interview will not get you in. lol obviously. but practice with someone, be ready for it.

Paper is probably heavy when there is a lot of it :D
Also do I always have to fucking select an image when I wanna fking post something....

Perhaps, for me I haven't had much experience in the work force. I am 20, and went to university for a bit right out of college so I forget that those jobs even exist :d more like I never thought about it.

I mean they got those little faggy jeeps too. They only walk around the block back To their car, and if the neighbourhood has shared mail boxes they don't walk at all

If you have a car jimmy johns delivery is the shit. Chill as fuck coworkers, no drug tests and if you include your tips usually around 15 an hour.

I'll certainly do my best. I don't have an insane amount of work experience but I think I am decent at interviews, is there anything specific to interviews at the bank lol? You got any quick tips? :3 I would love to go to school so that is a huge plus too.

I would also like some tips on the interview thing, and the resume too is you people are feeling kind.

What give bad signals in banks and the like?

Am not OP but I do need a job too. If it´s a good one then even better.

Im also 20, spent one semester getting my EMT-B and now im making 38k. Shitty hours, but rewarding as fuck if your into helping people and seeing fucked up stuff. Also bitches love EMT's

Would this be the kind of thing I am looking for? :D
careers.bankofamerica.com/job-detail/16028646/united-states/us/relationship-manager-san-antonio-tx-south-san-antonio-area

Lol bitches love EMT's? :D How much did it cost to get your EMT-b?

casino. be a dealer... dealers in slower casinos still make about 50k a year. if youre in vegas..you get 6 figures depending on the casino you work in.

Soooooooooooo, that specific position is located inside of a branch... hahaha Honestly, if it sounds interesting to you, you could spend your first year doing something like that until you are open to transfer wherever you want. Positions like that though, they probably have a teller that works in that branch already that they have in mind they'd like to take the role. Banking centers are sketch in general.

i forgot to mention how much pussy you get while doing it btw... table games is pretty much just a fuck fest department in a casino.

Around 1200. Fafsa covered most of it.

Oh, ok I see. Yeah I am just trying to find the position you are talking about I would prefer not to work in a branch as well.

Interviews for these entry level positions aren't going to be out of the ordinary. You just need to seem competent and make sure you answer their questions. "tell me about a time where you had to deal with a difficult situation and what you did to resolve" "Or how would you help make a customer feel at ease in this situation". They arent going to try and trick you, and if you are smarter than the average joe, you'll be good. Every department will have different interviews though. that is just generic

Apply for the tsa. It's gov job lotsa bennies. Can move up to other better gov jobs after that.

From my Useful folder.

Enjoy.

Yo op. Become a pilot. No seriously the second I became a CFI I got like 40 job offers for 20 to 30k a year with a 5k sign up bonus and free housing.

Your probably asking how do I pay to become a pilot.

It's simple you get a 20 year loan with low interest rate. Seems like shit now but as soon as you cfi for a year and get 1500 hours you get to move on to at etc and work for 100k and upwards all the way to 500k end of career in certain circumstances

Whats a good flight school?

Going to need a pic of your dick to continue.

see if amazons hiren I just got a job makin 14.50 an hour 40 hours a week full bennys

Uber

Me. I teach it all. Cheapest it gets. And I am one of the best. Mostly because I love my work. Average cost to get the starter licence (private pilot) is 10k. I'll do it for 7. Average cost to get from 0 to commercial is 80k. I can do it for around 50k. But I can only take on a handful of students at a time

Something similar to this
careers.bankofamerica.com/job-detail/16024125/united-states/us/preferred-sales-associate--inbound-contact-center-oak-cliff-dallas-tx-start-date--7-11-2016

That one would be entry level. Ace the interview and you would be in. It might take time for the right thing to open up too, so dont get frustrated if nothing pops up immediately. Gotta drive downtown in 5 hours haha. So I might pass out soon

I feel like I'm lagging behind.

I'm making 12$ an hour 40 hours a week as a Network Admin.

Right after highschool, I applied at a adult shop. I like it. Get paid $10 per hour and I learned alot about everything in that type of industry. It can be bad sometimes, as I am a girl, I get asked out for threesomes, parties, sugar daddys, even get asked out on the spot. It is honestly really easy. Just being a clerk.

Ah, alright I see. Thanks a lot again I appreciate it I will look for something like this in my area at those three banks :D

Slight hijacking to ask:

What the fuck do you do for a job if you're 25 and haven't worked since you were 16? Nobody will fucking hire me because of this (I don't blame them, I wouldn't hire me.) and it gets worse and worse as the years go by like this ridiculous, vicious cycle.
I've burned every bridge and used up every familial resource I had to be able to not be homeless this long, but my time is almost up.

Lol sounds decent to me. Interesting you chose a shop like that though :p. I guess I wouldn't expect it to be too busy :D

What state?

That's rough. I mean you can always make up a job.

Sales Associate position at a retail store that's just closed would be good.

I used to work at an Office Depot. Worked there for 5-6 years, then was fired for not showing up one day. Still put it on my resume every day because they closed shortly after and nobody cared enough to really dig into it. .

It isn't too busy on Sundays. Mornings are slow can go to 2 or 3 hours without a customer. But night can be busy. Holidays are super packed, From 9am til 12 pm, I preferred the night as it got slow but they were hard as I had to call the police many times and hold my taser and pepper spray after locking the shop at 12:20am. And when I applied I got hired 5 days later. So it was a easy job. Hated to deal with upset customers although, all sales are final and they wonder why.

I've tried lying. My aunt owns a charity and I even put down 2 years of that on my resume because I knew she'd cover for me and in all this time I have never received a single call back.

TN/AR far West TN and far east AR along with Northwest AR in Fayetteville. But that's just a secondary brach and I'm still working on getting enough aircraft to keep some there

Yeah I would imagine they should know LOL you still work there now? How old are you?

How are you supposed to get a loan if you can't get a job?

I am 19. And I wish I kept the job. I was the youngest girl there. I had to send in my two weeks notice a bit ago because my boyfriend and parents didn't like the fact that men would try to follow me home, happened a lot but I never drove to my direct house at the time. But the main reason they wanted me to leave because my boss called me an "Ugly pathetic bitch" in front of the customers all because of another employee didn't do their duty and not inform me to do it after them. He was yelling at me in front of customers and me being the bitch I am, I cried. Great job though, and I am actually trying to find another.

Wow sounds pretty hardcore, well i wish you the best in your endevours :D

It's easy for student pilots. Reason is aviation jobs are in such great demand that he is guaranteed work and it only take a year or two until he starts working. Meanwhile college takes 4 to 8 years and you certainly are not guaranteed a job

Carwash easy job to get cash tips daily

McDonald's

You can always move up into better paying positions eventually.

Thank you! Good luck to everyone who is looking for a job.

>that literally sounds perfect for me

user is either a teen or a really boring man.

I'm 20 :o. I just want a job that will allow me to rise through the ranks and eventually allow myself to not have to worry about money. I would much rather be a self-earner but I have no clue how to do that or where to begin. Trying to look it up always ends up in being scams :D

Lineman for pg&e
>no college
>age requirement is 18+
>training is free(in fact they pay you 24$/hr)
>after training you get paid 50$/hr
>also a lot of benefits

stop smilling fucking autist
Be old and miserable like the rest of us.
Go work in a warehouse, its a nice, stable, backbreaking, deadend job thats pay minimum wage at 12 hours a day/

Been applying for those seems really hard to get into. Did you know someone?

HMM!

This is a Letter it has an Address what do you do with it, PUT IT IN MAIL BOX

Mailemployer: Your a hired

Mailemployer: You're now the Manager of all the mail.

>Jobs in a nutshell

Just don´t be the fuck up and you are ok, right?

I would rather hang myself than be a cog in some machine that can't break free
:)))

do what he said, with enough time time you spirit will be broken. if you lucky within a year or 2 youll be able to afford a decent fleshlight for your shriveled up untouched cock.

No i just know a friend that works for them... He told the xompany was desperate for workers

I would do mail but no openings in my area ! No I will not get a warehouse job because it's cancer and I hate intense physical labor. I would much rather use my brain so I don't become a fucking retard.

credit unions are always hiring, just look like a professional, most start at 11.25 an hour full time and you can get raises as you take training and move up.

Ye there you go you did know someone. You used him as reference ofcourse
