crossing eyes is easier, but this actually requires you to focus a bit behind the screen.
you should be overimposing one bit of the repeating pattern over another. then it's a matter of getting rid of the blur without losing your eyeball alignment.
takes a bit of work, but it gets easier with practice

yeah there is, the trick is to relax your eyes.
One way of training them is to cross your eyes slightly while close to the image and slowly move back away while staring at it.
Once you finally see it keep doing them then
you will pretty much automatically see the image
within a few seconds without having to do this.
