I watched a really interesting documentary called "The man that eat himself to death" and it's somewhat related.
This guy had to lose a lot of weight for the gastric bypass surgery and had constants and surgeons flying in to help him/motivate him to lose weight.
He basically refused and kept pulling the victim card. "Poor me I'm so fat I'm trying" but did legitimately nothing at all.
He ends up dying towards the end of the documentary after wasting a lot busy peoples time.
