No in Japanese is "ie"
No in Finnish is "ei"

Japan confirmed for lost Finnish khanate.

No, as cool as it is it's also really innefficient, you have a lot of words that are the same but mean different things and are written differently.

Also, who needs 3 fucking character sets to write one single language?

hint:

signal - animal

article - human

Grammar and pronunciation of Japanese is completely different with Chinese.
Japanese had tried to use Chinese Kanji words for Japanese, but it didn't work well.
Then Japanese created auxiliary words for Kanji writing. That is Katakana.
And Japanese created one more auxiliary words for none Kanji writing. That is Hiragana.

don't be stupid.

>name in English
>nimi in Finnish
>namae in Japanese
All lost khanate members

wait what?
those 3 things are japanese?
without knowing anything about the language, the one in the middle is the only one that I'd recognize as japanese, the one on the right looks like chinese more than anything else and the one on the left looks like the one in the middle's comic sans.

pls explain

Kanji are chinese letters used in japanese
Katakana and hiragana are different alphabets but still the same. Katakana is used in loan words.

I always think if Japan could have abandoned Kanji Japanese could be the most popular languages foreigners want to learn as a hobby because of easy pronunciation and relatively easy grammer.

why?

if they are the same alphabet, and "katakana" is used only in loan words then why the fuck does "katakana" even exist?

Japanese language needs modernisation

we already went through fucktons of modernization and still ongoing tho

Why do we have upper and lower case?

They're the same, right?

Nah, the burgerclaps still cant pronounce it, so it wouldnt have been that popular.

Holy shit, Finno Korean hyperwars were real!

according to the finn I quoted, they're 2 different alphabets that are exactly the same, but upper and lower case are not different alphabets.

It's kind of like upper case, or cursive, or bold or whatever. You have the same 48 sounds e.g. つ is hiragana tsu and ツ is katakana tsu. Just different character.

More characters to make up for a lake of sounds doesn't make a good language.
It makes a language that is easy to speak and hard to write.

lower case was made up so monks could save more ink while writing, they are smaller and thus require less ink. Also with upper case you can put more emphasis on something

No

Or the other way around. It makes it easy to write because everything is precise and unambiguous. But as soon as you speak and can't rely on the written signs, you are hard to understand because one word has so many different meanings

A language that uses three different writing systems to make up for the limited number of sounds it has is not advanced, just convoluted.

Kanji difficulty is overrated, you need to learn the words either way, if they are spelled with letters or with a symbol.
Same thing with the "muh three writing systems". It's just another way of reading the same mora, compare it to having lowercase and uppercase letters in latin. You can learn hiragana and katakana in under a week.

Amazing how someone so native to his language knows so little about it.

>It's kind of like upper case

It's nothing like that

Nope. A messed up writing system. If I had to choose, hangul is more flexible.

>in my feelings.
fucking weeaboo lol

what are you talking about Wills
that's how it happened
but any english teacher could know that. there's even wikipedia article, here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man'yōgana

You're confused with how it's used today and its history.

Lol. Is he Japanese american or Japanese in America?
