The point of these threads is to encourage people to look for new and interesting music. We do this by listening to and ideally discussing albums we've never heard before. Many of us already listen to new music daily, these people are in it to venture "out of their comfort zone" by listening to albums they otherwise wouldn't have, or just to have a good time.

>MF DOOM - Operation: Doomsday (1999) I'm not really a fan of Doom's voice on here, somehow it sounds different than what I'm used to (somehow higher, mumblier and rougher at the same time, but maybe it's just the way the vocals are recorded). The production is mostly jazz and 80s sample focused and laid back for the most part. The incredible flow Doom is known for is already visible in traces and he clearly got talent and hunger, but imo it will take a few years until he has mastered this style. Another problem is this album's length. 5/10
