Is there any legally binding action I can take in which assures I am fully accredited for my business start-up idea that I dont have the skills to code into a functioning website? Is there a legally binding action I can take that assures that I hold 100% of the company as well? I am very worried that the person I hire to code the website will steal the idea and make it his own start-up as well as take all the credit.

standard employee contract - anything he writes under the employ of you is the property of the company.

Then just dont cheap out on a coder. Get a guy with a good history of contract work instead of some shitty 17 year old. They know that fucking over a contractor like that could get them sued and ruin their reputation for years.

How much do you think it would cost for the coder?

depends how big the job is. assuming anything complex, a minimum of a few grand. quite possibly a lot more.

If you've got a shit idea the coder wont want to steal it, and if you've got a good idea they'll be hoping it leads to more work in the future when you're successful.

post your idea user. us Sup Forumsros are very excited to show you support

I'll do it for free in my off time, if it's a good idea and you cut me a percentage of the profit. Let me know if that sounds good, I'll throw you over some contact details and a portfolio.

Translation: OP is going to make a shit ton of money, not pay his coder shit, and then lay him off right away.
*bets OP's brilliant start-up idea is cheap razors online or some stupid shit*

I'm willing to talk business with you, man. Throw me what you got

Ideas are cheap. Implementation and selling are where the value is. You may think you have a unique idea but there are probably a dozen people working on it right now.

Interviewing in the Bay Area is funny. they all make you sign an NDA and you inevitably come across people working on essentially the same product.

Or if it's a really good idea they'd probably just tell a friend and have that friend sling them some cash when the spinoff is also a hit.

I would still need you to sign a contract, though

Since the dawn of time people have been fucking the "idea guy" over. Learn to code.

Best contact is via personal email at: [email protected]

expect weird porn in the future

Alright man, thanks

>non-disclosure agreement
>employment contract
You can sue them into the ground if that happens.

An experienced contractor will be that way because they like contract work and make good money off it. They wont fuck that up on a slim chance.

Ideas are a dime a dozen, they need to make a living.

No problem. ;)

No porn is weird to me after being here for this long, m80.

I'm fine with an NDA to discuss whatever you need to discuss. The way you're talking makes it sound like a web app, so let me know the basic idea (IaaS, SaaS, Social Networking, etc, etc) and I'll send you whatever I've done that applies to what you need.

Unless of course this freelance coder just so happens to think of an idea which he claims is genuinely his but is an off brand version of this other guys idea.

>A few tweaks here
>A few modifications there
>My idea

biting the hand that feeds you.

The world is not like 'the social network'. somebody who has built up a career as a contractor is not going to throw that away on a tiny chance where - by definition - you are entering a market behind a competitor while simultaneously sabotaging a future contract options and risking serious lawsuits.

My idea is a dating website that is dedicated to just anuses. That's all you are allowed to post, you can dress them up, like some makeup, or glitter, but it's just anuses.
And there is some location stuff, also some other stuff

So... basically a normal dating site? All the hot ones are assholes and the rest look like shit.

Can I upload pics of my own anus and share it with friends and family?

Of course, there is going to be fair bit of integration with other social media platforms, specifically Linkedin

all you need to do is write a contract with a his signature
