Literally all digital images are pixels. The term 'pixel art' only comes from people who deliberately work with a limited amount of pixels, mostly because they don't know how to do details and the simpler they draw, the more they can hide it - because there's not enough pixels on the canvas to show that.

But pixel art with detail.... now that's talent, and every pixel counts there, no pixel placed without a reason and every pixels holds a lot of detail.
Just because an artist is limiting his pixels, doesn't mean it's because he can't draw in detail.

Good artists can do pixel art with detail, but I'm not talking about them, I'm just judging your 'pixel art' for what it is. I'm not saying you can't, I'm saying that you don't.
The art style is a choice, not a neccessity. It works though, the world is made of cubes, and the limited textrues accomodate that. It works when you make it work.

I've been using a different sai for the last couple months, so I'm not sure how different the settings are compared to normal SAI.

I always did enjoy the "WHAT PEN ARE YOU USING!?!?!" comments I used to get when I was just rocking the standard.

afaik you can't customize the pressure in sai, and the only program ive tried that can do that is Drawpile

Your line weights are attractive, the brush looks like a leaky calligraphy pen. I've never used sai so it's nice t'me!

I usually do the defaults on pshop but custom brushes are good for texture work or conveying different feelings in the stroke.

so for instance you can have the size scale differently from the opacity
