Count calories and watch what you eat. Don't even have to start exercising right away, people fail trying to do too much too quickly. Once you're comfortable dieting then start light workouts.

You can lose weight without hitting the gym, start running and/or cycling every day and cut your calorie intake.

Increasing your metabolism will probably help. Eat more frequently, like 8 times a day. Just don't eat a lot, stop eating before you get full (but don't starve yourself).

If you starve yourself, your body will hold on to every bit of fat that it digests as long as possible.

Also, drink fucking water, not soda pop or any shit like that. Drink lots of water, until you are pissing almost clear.

This is actually a pretty good idea for quickly reducing your weight without killing yourself. Just make sure that you put a tourniquet around your thigh to stop all of your blood from coming out of your femoral artery, and you should lose around 30% of your body weight.

lose weight in the kitchen, get healthy in the gym. a good gym routine is garbage without a strong diet to back it up. use myfitnesspal. limit yourself to 1700 calories a day. eat around .5g protien/lb of body weight. avoid carbs but don't cut them out completely. cooking your own meals is a good way to lower calories and monitor intake. track your weight every day. get pissed off at yourself when the number goes up. you gotta fucking want it dude. you need an entire attitude reform. I lost 90lb last year and I know you can do it. check the FAQ on /r/loseit.

First, how old are you? If you're under 40, you can do this with easy.

- Every day, no fucking matter what, get in at a minimum 1 FULL FUCKING HOUR of walking. Doesn't have to be running, just walking. That can be a treadmill if you want.

- Change what you eat and how you eat. If you can? 4-6 smaller meals a day. Cook your own food as much as you possibly can, too.

- If you choose to do weights (which is advisable), only eat carbs about an hour before your workout. Don't completely cut carbs, but no more massive pasta dinners unless you're also working out. If not, if just cardio, reduce carbs and increase protein.

- DON'T stop eating fats, but make them good fats. Avocado, fish, that sort of thing.

Cut out soda, cut out any food that comes from a drive-thru. Jog 1 mile a day, five days a week. That's a good start. I lost between 15 and 20 pounds just doing that. I gradually added distance and other exercise, and gradually cut out other things (less dairy, no white bread, etc.). A lot of people will insist that you make huge changes, but that's a recipe for failure. Have faith in small steps.

Record your weight & caloric intake every day. Prepare the data to establish baselines. The next part is tricky, you need to practice self control. Plan your meals & occupy your time so that you aren't as likely to overeat. This is where exercise comes in. Try running or walking, push ups & squats, basically anything that boosts your activity. Lastly, take it one step at a time. fitness takes a long time to achieve results.
