Canadian prison from what I've heard [from close friends that have been] is way easier then American prison.

I did a year. It Depends on where u go. Most like non violent people go to like minimum or whatever. But still its like Shitty. Yeah dude. when i got there this dude who knew me from the outside started fucking with me over a girl. He grabbed my toothbrush and like walked away i was like wtf really and just ignored it. Then i noticed throughout the day nobody would talk to me and one guy was like "you gonna let that dude push you around i dont want nothing to do with you" So I followed dude into the bathroom and beat the fucking shit out of him. Took his clothes off and left him naked in there all fucked up. People started talking to me and he got laughed at so hard.

but i had my own humiliation when this crazy homeless guy was apparently a schizophrenic chess champ and ruined my undefeated record. at least nobody ever beat me at scrabble.

When I was 13, I was in psychiatric lockup for 4 months. Reasons it sucked:
- Heavy metal grill on all windows/doors.
- Eat when someone tells you to.
- 1 hour workout when someone tells you to.
- No talking to the other kids in lockup.
- Supervised washroom breaks/showers.
- Daily room searches for contraband, zero privacy.
- No clothes of your own, you wear a uniform.
- Twice daily therapy sessions.
- Shit was boring as fuck: no books, no TV, no radio, no internet, no phone calls, no fucking pens or pencils to draw or write except under complete supervision (could be used as weapons).

Met some of the nicest and interesting people 2 of which have become very good friends even to this day. Of course you got your crazy fags, drug fags, race fags, gang fags, and fag fags but you can still find genuine people. You can also get supervised time to things like internet and tv. If you wanted to risk talking to others to establish a connection you can find ways to get drugs and crazy shit. I always heard stories of guys getting weed/crack/meth/pills etc inside but only seen pills. Honestly after you get over the mini culture kinda shock and let things set in you can do a lot to better yourself. Free school as well faggots!

also jail is a lot different than prison. actually had fun in jail, what with the food stealing, sex (with girls), getting a guard fired, bringing in drugs, bringing in porn, stealing food.
my first day as a trustee, who do i find unsupervised across the hall from my work area but my gf. walk over and make out in front of everyone, sneak over for sex later... how they didn't better guard against this was anyones guess, but they got left comletely unsupervised behind an unlocked door and i was allowed in the halls alone. so unless one of the two people in control was looking at 1 camera out of a thousand, and realized i went in the door on the wrong side, nobody ever knew. except other inmates. i was a hero from that day on.

Everyone argues about what prison is like because they've been to different prisons. I was a CO at two prisons. They were as different as night and day.

The first was strict. The guards were in charge. The inmates were well behaved. They had ice cream and puppies and air conditioning. They spent all day out on the big open yard playing baseball or basketball or lifting weights. The inmates complained all the fucking time but they really had it good.

The second was a shit hole. The guards were inbred lazy hicks. The inmates were out of control. The food was shit. The inmates only got one hour of yard a day. There were fights constantly. Never commit a crime in Kansas.

I found that the black guys in prison fall into two distinct categories. The old black guys who are a little racist but they're quiet, decent, and hard working. And yes but only 3 ish times. One was a temp cell mate who was some white trash washed up drug addict. He tried to grab my "mattress" to start ripping into it(mind you these are ordinary provided shitty blue mats, like 5 inches or so thick and the faggot already tore through his). I wanted rest and this dude could not chill and swore up and down there was bound to be something to get high off of in the cell so i yelled at the top of my lungs for guards before punching this faggot out cold and waiting for them to get him.

only twice have i ever seen some hard shit. Like the stories of nigs, mexicans making ghetto shanks out of ghetto shit and waiting until very specific times to fuck someone or some people up. Both times were race/gang related. I mean i guess if you already have a life sentence then why not who gives a fuck, but still. Too much work just to live and die a low tier race fag in the prison system.
