>First of all, I DID NOT say you were a brainwashed american. Don't put words into my mouth.
Don't get all nasty stay on point.
>Everything else would be paid by students. Text books, living expenses, the works.
Right, welcome back to reality, my friend. Only the tuition can be paid.
Now, about that tuition. We have that system here. Half of that tuition is paid by the student. And it is pretty low. It kinda works, but it really doesn't. Teachers require bribes, and the university is often out of funds. It's basically a shitty version.
Now, you say
> have a regulation board for colleges to see if they're spending money properly
Good luck with that. Did you take a crack at the highschool boards? Do you have any idea that the college boards will be even more corrupt? I'm being very honest now. Do you have any idea how brutally corrupt everything will be?
I actually have the solution. With that money, you can actually improve the high schools. With only a fraction of it. Then, if some want to go to college, you can give them more scholarships.
But the universities are corrupt. Why? Because they can. Trust me, I swear on my mother's life, here is how it happens. They charge you let's say 80,000 a year. In there, they teach you rainbow and sunshine and how to be a socialist. Then, when you can't pay, you make the loan and the university blames it on the banks. What the fuck, really?
And students are not going to blame corrupt teachers. They are attached to them. They blame the bank. This is fucked up. Besides, the student never actually sees the money. The money goes from the bank to the smiling professor who doesn't actually give a fuck. if the teachers wanted to do something good, the first thing they would teach.
The major problem is you can't cure stupid. No matter how much money you throw at people. Somebody who can't work after 18 yeas of socialism is a piece of garbage who will cause even more problems and will be afraid of the fair real world.
