American Idiot and Dookie are fucking fantastic.

This album is like a perfect time capsule to what it felt like being a suburban teenager during the bush administration

Sequel when?

youtu.be/Rk6rX8y0FKM?t=23s

Ugh

Will they ever top this?

yeah.

mah nigga
also nice get

why don't they ever records songs with guitar that good? he's actually pretty fun to listen to when he just lets rip on the guitar

why do kids hate pop-punk?

That was such a shitty crowd.

who was in the wrong here?

youtu.be/g9zogQOmQVM

no

Tom delonge

ITT: post 2k plebs

"Tom Delonge was a mistake." - Mark Hoppus

is Jesus of Suburbia the best punk song ever made?

>generic middle school pop punk
>patrician

ONE FUCKING MINUTE

Is definitely the best pop punk song ever made

>implying

youtu.be/5aaY08uVoqI

>people on Sup Forums think this is good

how is middle school doing for you

(You)
fuck off, nerd.

American Idiot is over a decade old.

Green Day was the 1st band I ever loved. However, that was when I was 15

At least progress your musical taste to something like Nirvana

American Idiot was my favorite album during middle school.

I still think it's probably the best pop punk album, though.

>nirvana
>not entry level garbage

>implying music ages

I listen to both and you can't stop me.

I'm trying to set the plebs on the right path. Everything else on this thread is more entry level than entry level

>best pop punk album

That's really not a big feat, considering about 95% of pop punk bands are absolute garbage

isn't there a K-Pop or Fantano thread waiting for (You)

there's no reason to be so upset, user.

don't reply to bait, user.

True patricians know Homecoming is the best song on American Idiot and See the Light is the best song on 21st Century Breakdown.

but the real question is... what's the best song on Dookie?

Protip: It's not Basket Case

Either She or Coming Clean.

BITE MY LIP AND CLOSE MY EYES

I like In the End. Reminds me of some people I knew.

Probably Longview but I think Having a Blast is really underrated.

Reminder that NOFX did it first and better

Tom DeLonge was the more talented member of blink, fucking fight me

Letterbomb is the best on AI, and Peacemaker for 21st.
Homecoming and See the Light are both great though

Welcome to Paradise

Yes

She desu senpai

Tom DeLonge >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mark Hoppus

Letterbomb is pretty good, though it doesn't top Homecoming for me. Now that you mention it, I'd probably put Peacemaker at the top.

maybe before 2005

post hiatus, hell no.

Thats what makes it good, the shitty nostalgia
youtube.com/watch?v=mg5Bp_Gzs0s

Hey guys remember back when everything was shit and being a counter culture kid in middle school was cool, and the internet didn't exist to ruin our world?

The War On Errorism is their best album desu

The fuck has mark done creative wise since enema? At least Tom can progress beyond fucking sappy pap punk

I'll have you know that Tom is responsible for the only bad songs on Neighborhoods (aka the last 3 songs on the deluxe edition.)

Now he's just in a shitty wannabe U2 band and is embarrassed to have ever been in blink.

Fuck that selfish cunt.

At least Mark put out an enjoyable album that satisfied the fans and isn't a complete conspiracy lunatic.

it's not generic though
that's the interesting part

I have nostalgia for Dookie and all their old stuff just because I grew up with it

American Idiot, on the other hand, is an album that did more than any other pop punk album

excellent songwriting with variety
poignant and topical lyrics bridging the disillusionment of american youth with the disillusionment of the american political climate
created last minute to replace an album whose master tapes were stolen from the studio

sure, American Idiot was very much of it's time and sounds dated now but it's still a hell of an album and the best tracks stand up well enough on their own even today

AI hasn't aged a day, user.

exactly

thematically, it's poised to come back around

Father Time

I know what you mean. But for me, it's The War On Errorism.
Man, that was a good time to be a teen.
I was just thinking about it today, in the next couple of years we're going to have a new gen bought up on anti-Trump (pop) punk.

Tom didnt write fighting the gravity that was purely mark

ava hasn''t sounded like u2 since love part 2, listen to the dreamwalker and ...of nightmares friend.

I won't deny you your get. But I will deny you this opinion.

fucking fascist

>bassist immediately starts smashing instrument
feels good watching band memebers have each other's backs when one of them starts doing crazy shit

nice meme, but green day's a fucking middle school band for edgy teens

F.O.D. is my contrarian opinion

White trash through pump up the valuum are all better albums. That was the golden era of NOFX.

My personal favorite is between so long & thanks for all the shoes or heavy petting zoo.

God I wish I was 14 again, listening to this for the first Time in like January 2010..
Revolution Radio reminds me alot of that Album actually.
Lol, I remember fondly 311 saying they were coming full range in that choon they made.

The +44 album is unironically the best album out of anything any of them have ever had a hand in creating.
