Yep. I tried it all - pills, patches, gum, cutting down, all that shit. In the end I just stopped one day. After the first couple of days (which were hell, TBF) it was laughably easy.
I went from smoking 30 a day to nothing overnight for almost a year, until I went on holiday and started again, 'cos fuck it. Chucked my smokes in the bin at the airport on the way home and haven't smoked since I got back, apparently I can do that now.

I got up to a pack a day when I worked roofing. After I was done with that I just started smoking less and less till I just didn't do it. Every now and then Ill have a smoke with a friend or something but not really anymore.
