the magic carpathians project - sambucas & ginko
josef van wissem - stations of the cross
pram - perambulations
Damn, really couldn't do NBBMN for even two weeks. Considering my recent stuff I have been playing based on my chart, it's kinda scary. Am I finally just kinda dropping off metal? Part of me's stubborn considering it's what got me into music and all, but at the same time the metal albums I listen to per year for the past couple years have been the usual highly loved ones by everyone instead of delving in myself the way I used to do. Yet at the same time, I am just kinda going back to or exploring the albums I have on this chart plus more stuff like the usual Aphexes/Boards and /bleep/ singles and whatnot.
Anyway idk why I went on that rant it's almost 5am and I guess that good quality drink failed to put me to sleep on time. Please rec me any/all sorts of electronic music. From the earliest historical recordings of guys just messing with electronic devices near the WW1 era to the latest most cutting edge attempt at modern classical or /bleep/ stuff or generative electronics or whatever. Also getting back into the jazz recs I got from previous threads plus other stuff in terms of jazz with cool crazy rhythm sections.
You probably know your way around this stuff more than I do, but still
Menace Ruine - Cult Of Ruins
Misþyrming - Söngvar elds og óreiðu
John Fahey's last album (I think it's just called Red Cross)
Some pretty cool metal/psych stuff on this
Future Tense - Condemned To The Gallow
Warhorse - As Heaven Turns To Ash
Flower Travellin Band - Satori
King Goblin - Cryptozoology
qh shit this is a pretty cool selection though I ain't a big fan of Robert Ashley personally. Re-listened to Faust earlier today, and every time I feel like I am thinking it's overrated it just ends up proving me wrong.
Anthony Davis - Variations In Dream Time
Hampton Grease Band - Music To Eat
Emily Howell - From Darkness Light
I've heard something else from MV&EE before but not that one
great rec as always :3

I think a lot of people just find themselves naturally drifting towards and apart to different genres or artists, I know I have periods where I don't listen to a lot of my favourite artists for a while cause I just don't feel like it
I'd say it doesn't matter if you're dropping off metal or not, listen to what you want to and don't worry about it
hey,i like your chart.you know what you like

what is the process behind reccing this to me. This is literally the opposite of anything on that chart. I mean thanks regardless, but I'm just curious.
>vdp
>moondog
>johnston
>midori
>devo
you're officially my nigga
Your chart is pretty eclectic desu. You pretty much have something of everything on there. Just recced something that's good and you may not of heard before. - Also figured since Zappa you may enjoy it.
Usually how I rec. Unless there's clear cut preferances and dislikes - which I just couldn't figure out from your chart.
forgot recs,
If ya dig midori, definitely check out 385. crazy funky punky bass complete with asian woman screaming and some crazy keys
Fair enough, it is very interesting
Henry Cow - Unrest
Leonard Cohen - Songs of Love and Hate
anything on mine
Thanks guys
And a sincere heartfelt thank you to any and everybody else you throws a rec my way
Man I didn't expect the feels
>Ratboy Genius
>terrible and autistic
If that's what you think of our lord and savior then maybe you really are autistic.
Universal Totem Orchestra - The Magus
Isao Tomita - Snowflakes are Dancing
Vangelis - Spiral
Cast - All Change
Lush - Lovelife
listen to the rest of van dyke's discography. I haven't listened to tokyo rose or jump yet, but I really enjoyed song cycle (one of if not my favorite album) and songs cycled. if you like the steelband/calypso/americana sounds in discover america, you should give clang of the yankee reaper a chance. though van dyke himself says that its his worst. he calls it "braindead". there's still a few good tracks on it, though.
good porcupine trees
Pinkshinyultrablast - Everything Else Matters
Preoccupations - Viet Cong
The Butterfly Effect - Begins Here
King Gizzard and The Wizard Lizard - Paper Mache Dream Balloon
Saw Vektor live last night and they played Terminal Redux in its entirety which was pretty nuts.
Hey man, I enjoyed Visions more than I expected. Been listening to Oblivion and Skin, like all day. Good shit
>halfaxa all the way at the bottom
for a grimescuck you sure have shit taste in grimes
joe henderson another tenor
I've already given recs to basically all of you so I'll give some to those I don't recognize.
I don't hate your chart, but pretty much this NoMeansNo - Wrong
The Dillards - Wheatstraw Suite
That's awesome. Maybe try Halfaxa as well. It's not really the same deal as Visions, but you might enjoy it. It's a grower.
It has some of her best work, but the quality drops in the last third.
bump it
plz help i need new music to listen to while i mope around in my apt
Ever considered looking into Jazz?
No never really had any exposure or a jumping off point for it. Always thought of it s smart people music.
>Always thought of it s smart people music
broski, I know nothing about music - I just listen to it lmao.
I started with Grant Green, specifically Idle Moments. I think for me personally it was the perfect starting point. Real smooth, cool and relaxing. Great rhythms all around. 0 brains required.
what website do people make these in?
or is it just photoshop/templates?
Topsters my user
> the quality drops in the last third
it's like the shittiest opinion on Grimes I've ever read
>a grimescuck has poor taste in grimes
lol.
:^]
you can't get into her the most obscure stuff ≠ quality drops
>Swan Song
>My Sister Says The Saddest Things
>Hallways
>Favriel
>her the most obscure stuff
∆∆∆∆Rasik∆∆∆∆ is the best track on the album. It's not obscurity I have an issue with on Halfaxa.
>spams the same response gifs in every thread
It's quite clear no one wants you in these threads desu (to be honest)
>omega
>hallways
>river
>swan song
>my sister says the saddest things
>not some of the most obscure songs she made
what an embarrassment
I bet I didn't even listen to this album properly because it's not as hyped as art angels or visions
you*
Idk how this could happen
Do you even know what "obscure" means? The only obscure tracks on Halfaxa are the interludes.
Literally listening to it right now and I've probably listened to it 30~ times prior. It's on my fucking chart; if I didn't thoroughly enjoy it, it wouldn't be.
At least my response images work in the context. I'm also using my phone while waiting for my laptop to fix. I don't want to clutter all my phone space with Grimes pics.
And speak for yourself.
Ash Ra Tempel-s/t
Reagan Youth- A Collection of Pop Classics
Aphrodite's Child-666
Swell Maps-Jane from Occupied Europe
Jeff Rosenstock- WORRY.
Jeff Rosenstock- We Cool?
Give me recs pls I need something new to listen to
Brainiac - Hissing Pigs in Static Couture
Since you have the Pop Group, This heat, Foetus and Big Black. You'll almost definetely like it.
You could try Gauntlet Hair or The For Carnation. I think you might like those
Listen to Six Organs of Admittance - Dark Noontide if you haven't already
>Do you even know what "obscure" means?
could ask you the same
those tracks include the most incoherent and annoying vocals on the entire album, she layers her voice thicker than on the most of songs before, the only songs that could compare are outer and world princess, which is just before "the last third", plus they obviously sound darker, and sometimes get somewhat scary
>scary
Are you 12?
666 is great.
Both of you would probably like Pelt - Ayahuasca.
I actually do enjoy Pelt, though I haven't listened to them in a while
Sunburned Hand of the Man - Jaybird
Mural - Live at the Rothko Chapel
Huntsville - For the Middle Class
>>somewhat scary
>Are you 12?
Is this all you can say against my words?
It's funny how you typed out so much in your previous post yet said so little.
>annoying
>incoherent
>thick
These are like Cuckthony Boitano level descriptive words. Do you even understand what involves the process of producing music?
Y'know what? You're right. Halfaxa IS super scary and weird. So is Fever Ray too. She gives me the spooks. FKA Twigs though, she crosses the line. She gives me the heebie jeebies.
This is me, obviously.
I don't know what you are trying to achieve with this post.
Its like a regular descriptors, but they explain my opinion on these songs quite well.
And this sarcasm is super unnecessary, don't really understand why you need to exaggerate my words.
Your reactions are simply irrelevant, what's the point of this tone in the conversation with a person who could like grimes as much as you do? you are obviously not a smart guy.
he's mad that he's not the only one itt who knows her music quite good
>a literal child likes grimes
that's something new
Why do people still reply him?
...
>calls my opinions shitty
>calls me an embarrassment
>makes a hollow assumption
>Why are you reacting this way? So unnecessary. xDD
You are literally autistic, user.
Yeah, I wish everyone would still blindly shit on Grimes. That's why I recommend her music to people. You've got it all figured out.
>projecting
It gives them a sense of purpose.
The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band- Part One
You should listen to Moondog-s/t
Check this garbage out
