Please not germany. Corrupt fucks
Also is the next euro not the cross-europe thing

please be us so we can actually get into the euros at least once

I wish Litmanen was younger right now.

euro 2020 is the 13 countries one

this thread is about euro 2024

>2024 hosts
>English being in charge of reading English

>finland are so shit they actually need to piggyback with 3 other countries just to play in a major tournament

>tfw no Euro in San Marino

WHat about Norway then?

we had the WC 8 years after France
it's only fair for the same thing to happen for the EC
and 4 hosts is fucking bullshit.

Does that mean 13 countries automatically qualify?

No

for euro 2020 no one qualifies automatically

they are introducing some weird new system that I don't really understand desu

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Nations_League

Scandanavia tournament would be great. 10/10 qts errywhere.

>24 teams
>13 cities
>4 hosts

Euro is becoming a meme tournament

Hosting a Euro is not a good thing, let Anders, Mika, Jan and Ahmed do it.

It will be Germany then

Blatter already confirmed that within FIFA/UEFA joint bids are at a disadvantage compared to a single hosting nation

I liked hosting the WC

Know that feel brother. Hoping for that
Most teams don't make it. Their nation isn't even that into football. I'm pretty sure their national sport is either hockey or handball

literally 3 of the last 5 euros have been joint hosted

Confusing, very confusing.

Your stadiums are too small. They'd have to play in the crater of Eyjafjallajökull.

>that flag
>calling others corrupt
Nice try user.

>They'd have to play in the crater of Eyjafjallajökull.

fund this shit

I didn't say they stand no chance, but Blatter recently said they are at a disadvantage. They'd either have to bring up more money or suck mad UEFA dick and giving them crazy privileges during the tournament

+1

>No Iceland in the Nordic group
>Instead the shit teams from norway, denmark and finland would be automatically qualified as hosts
Please no.

>tfw you never got into hockey and have therefore missed out on all the inter-scandanavian bants

Feels bad desu

pls we need this

It was nice :^)

we want to host the WC not this semen slurping tournament

no mudslimes allowed

>wanting a bunch of britroaches and russian scum to come and destroy your streets

no thank you

I want Denmark if they get a lego mascotte or one of those cringy opening ceremonies but this time with lego.

>we want to host
We already hosted way too much in the last year.

All 4 seems excessive, what stadiums do Finland and Norway have?

I'd love for it to happen, but maybe without Finland. Seems a bit much with four countries.
Preferrably it would be just Denmark and Sweden. No 40,000+ stadiums here though.

Why do you Germans want to host everything that let's brown people in?

Tell me the last time Britain bribed FIFA to get a world cup
pro tip we've never

Seems bullshit that 4 nations (3 of which didn't qualify and 1 that will drop vastly in quality after losing Ibra) all get auto qualification.

you have done plenty of hosting if you know what i mean

>1 that will drop vastly in quality after losing Ibra
'no'

Germany only hosted 1 euro so far, France 3, what the fuck?

We could do a qualifier with just the four countries where the two best go through.
Have it in the weeks leading up to the tournament.

Agree. It's enough!

2022 is a World Cup in the desert, so let's play 2024 around the Arctic circle

These football NT tournaments have grown way too big. 4 fucking countries when we hosted it alone in 92

I know you think you can't get worse, but you can.

Finland will never qualify as long as all the money goes into ice hockey

It's almost as if your post says that same as the post you're replying to.

>4 countries automatically qualified

wew

I hope Sweden will host it.

>no whites allowed to play
>all players must wear rainbow colored dresses
>free entry for minorities
>$1000 for whites
>free bbc for all white women

>4 automatic qualifiers

the fuck UEFA? why are you even considering this

>$1000 for whites

Damn, why are Swedes so racist?

>no restrictions for straight cis males

wow, why are you so backwards, sweden?

without ibra you wouldn't have gotten in euros

>four countries
>FOUR

what is this shit?

we should just reform Kalmar Union

Denmark + northern Germany should host.
Hamburg, Bremen and Rostock probably, plus Copenhagen, Brondby, Århus, Aalborg, Odense and some others.
Tell me that's not a brilliant idea.

People will ask you why just northern Germany when it's the south that keeps the business running.

Because those cities would apply for it in that scenario?
I don't really see you point.

As much as this would be awesome, I don't think there's enough stadium capacity. At least there would need to be major upgrades, and these are rational countries and not 3. Shitholes (looking at you Rio), who are willing to throw money away on that shit.
We'll have 3 or 4 2020 games here anyway, so that's good enough for me.

>45 years old

Holy crap that's bad. He can't pull off a Kiraly now. Him and Giggs for Wales. At least Dwight Yorke made it to WC.

>Germany only hosted 1 euro so far, France 3, what the fuck?
That's because France only won once, and Germany won 3 times.

>England/great britain will never hold a tournament in your lifetime
feels bad man

wasn't the final supposed to be held at wembley?

What happens now that England left the EU kek?

>Finland
>Iceland
>Scandinavia

'no'

As has everyone in Finland for over a decade

UEFA =/= EU

Even Russia and Israel are in the UEFA.

Even tho, It wouldn't surprise me if they eventually vote to leave the UEFA so they can play the Commonwealth cup

Start getting better at hockei, Norge.

>That's because France only won once, and Germany won 3 times.
Thanks for reminding me.

Sweden + Denmark sounds like a perfect double host for a tournament. There are many stadiums ripe for expansion for such a tournament.

What's the UEFA requirement for seats? Some of the stadiums they have played at in this tournament have seemed pretty small/average 2bh

All stadiums for a Euro tournament require at least 4 stars on the UEFA stadium ranking and the lowest number of seats for such a stadium is usually around 30 000, though there seems to be some with fewer.

The stadium with the lowest capacity this tournament is Stadium Municipal in Toulouse with a capacity just over 33k after the most recent renovation for the tournament.

In Funland, the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki has a 40,000 capacity, but sucks for futbol because of the huge track around the field. Stadiums in Tampere and Lahti are the next biggest with about 16,000 seats, but also have tracks. The largest modern stadium without a track is Sonera in Helsinki, which only has a 10,770 capacity, but might get an expansion. There are other modern, no-track stadia, but these only have ~6,000 capacity. (I think smaller venues are better, but that's not acceptable for most international matches)

edit: Veritas in Turku has 9,300 capacity and no track.

All pretty small even by Swedish standards.

Asians did their Euro equivalent with 4 qualified hosts once and it was a mess to manage.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_AFC_Asian_Cup

Also Korea/Japan 2002 was also a mess according to FIFA and since them they discourage bids made by 2 countries.

Is there city (or province) in Costa Rico where futebol is not nomber one esport? A city (or province) where can be city (or province) of other gaem?

Nope, the country is too small for other sports, and the average person here believes other sports other than Futbol are tearfully boring, kinda the same way Americans see soccer.

Sometimes somebody wins something in another sport, it gets in the news and everybody bandwagons the person, but nobody cares about the sports itself.

Like this guy won a Pink Shirt in L'Giro d'Italia, a big deal I think, this year and was all over the news, but nobody watches that event and it wasn't even broadcast here.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrey_Amador

Also that Lady that was a world champ in Female Boxing, she was all over the news when she won, but nodoby watches her fights.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanna_Gabriel

And that German lady that won gold medal.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claudia_Poll

Also Futbol is literally the only sport that gets and generates money here, if you want to practice any other sport professionally well good luck , you'll have to literally beg the government or made an Indiegogo page or something, have a good side job or be born wealthy because no big company nor the media will support you, but if you win something everybody will bandwagon your victory and say how proud they are of you in Facebook.

Recently a lot of Ticos are going to Sport bars to see the Super Owl or the NBA finals but its more an excuse to get wasted than interest in those sports.

Whats with the crosses in Nordic countries? Y'all English or something?

(I was asking that as a joke in reference to a recurring Tico poster, but I appreciate your sincere answer all the same. Informative stuff.)

They got Deus Vult hard

K. your welcome

Any scandinavian country would be nice.

you dont even get a chance for it because no one wants to see your rainy shithole

I'd prefer Germany - closer, warmer, less expensive.

>he doesn't know
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Denmark#Legendary_origin

You bribed for 2022 but not as much as Qatar.
Also
>London Olympics

Didn't even run for 2022, it was 2018.

both great options

>inb4 terrorist attacks

My mistake.

If it doesn't happen in France I don't see it happening in Finland.

We should host it alone

And then they will remain empty and useless until the sun explodes

Denmark? We literally have 2 30.000+ capacity stadiums...that's it

This

Moar of her? :o

Well, a tournament with a shit ton of teams needs a shit ton of stadiums...
But 4 countries is just ridiculous

>euro 2024
>still won't have a gf

Welcome to the club.
>build 30k stadium in a city where the club attendance can barely fill a 9k stadium regularly
>local club gets relegated 2 leagues for financial jewery
>average attendance for matches is 1500 people
>the international village of Geneva
PROTIP: make the entrances to the stadiums large enough that trucks can pass trough it, so at least it can be used for big concerts.

France won two Euros actually

this desu. I hope they don't expand Sonera Stadium in Helsinki to 30k. It's current 11k capacity is decent for HJK and HIFK who have an average attendance of about 5k, it would feel desolate during league games except for the derbys.

I am just trying to imagine us hosting in 2024 and how germany might look in 2024
