Just turn it down. Are you stupid?
And the title track is the only one that's all that abrasive
oh yeah cause that's such a fun way to listen to music. besides, turning it down doesn't even work.
And no it's not nigger, alvin row makes me shit myself every time with that high frequency bullshit.
soft cunt
K e K
What do you listen to? Kenny G?
>all art must mollify and coddle me
>how dare a piece of art make me feel uncomfortable
>DUDE I'M A WEAK FAGGOT WHO CAN'T LISTEN TO SOFT NOISE LMAO
gb2 MPP til you turn 18, you fucking underage scrub
>wahhh muh ears hurt
>turn it down? What a stupid suggestion!
Besides, the album isn't even that abrasive, and the high frequency stuff is only like the first minute of Alvin Row
Here's a less a abrasive album in a similar style, hope you enjoy it.
>cryboy
I didn't like this album at first either. Now I appreciate it for the masterpiece that it is and eagerly look forward to the thirteen seconds of harsh noise at the beginning of April and the Phantom.
why is this considered a good album when parts of it are literally impossible to consume without being in agony
>consume
found yr problem friend
any piece of music that has to be turned down at parts to be properly enjoyed should be considered a sloppily made piece of shit, regardless of whatever bullshit "artistic statement" the artist was trying to make.
you fucking poseurs could find a nail in a piece of bread and say "its still a good piece of bread, lol faggot can't handle tetanus?"
the noise isn't even that harsh, it adds to the nostalgic atmosphere of the album
>sloppily made
Spirit does have sloppy production, considering the fact that it was made by a 19 year old with limited means to record an album
In any case, the songwriting is still good, the album doesn't actually hurt your ears unless you're a little baby, and if it hurts so bad, then skip the first track and the intro to alvin row, which are the only parts that are even close to abrasive.
>poseurs
Oh, so this is bait, then
The difference between noise and tetanus is that noise doesn't actually cause "agony." This album has never had that effect on me, I enjoy the atmosphere created by the noisy bits. I really wish there was more of it on the album, it's really emotionally effective somehow.
Might be too much for OP dude. Pic related is much more tame.

That's just the pleb filter
it's literally agonizing. i can't listen to more than 5 seconds of either track with that frequency on it. this is coming from someone who listens to abrasive high intensity music constantly.
no. if you pretend to enjoy that frequency, I am flat out labeling you a poser.
guys i'm not insulting your precious meme album, it's a wonderful fucking album. I just earnestly need to see someone admit that the high frequency noise's inclusion in the album is nothing but a detractor and the experience would be better without it.
>this is coming from someone who listens to abrasive high intensity music constantly
examples? this should be a cakewalk for you
This.
Spirits They've Vanished is probably the biggest Sup Forumscore pleb filter.
I don't know, I like it
It isn't just straight up noise though. The title track has constant and repetitive movement, and there's that spacey synth in the backgound. It sounds nice to me, and it's tough to say anything about the track's composition since it's noise, but it does evoke some feelings in me, and apparently a lot of other people.
And in Alvin Row, it's used in that chaotic cacophony deal with the piano and drumming in a really nice way imo
This album causes me actual physical pain.
try this one op, i think you'll like it
how do you guys tag this album? animal collective as artist or avey tare and panda bear as artist?
just getting a little autistic over my scrobbles here
>alvin row makes me shit myself every time with that high frequency bullshit.
lmao
listen to more music bro
I love how everyone in this thread assumes this is my first time listening to spirit and i'm just being pissy about the title track.
get the fuck over yourself. literally everyone on this board has heard this album, you are special in no way for being familiar with this album. In fact, it reflects poorly on YOU because you have not yet realized that it's an objectively bad album
i think of it as just avey tare and panda bear
>lmao brah just give yourself a migrane brah hahaha what are you stoopid? p4k said it was good brah you need to listen to more music
fug off boldfaure
>impersonating Unty and pretending to get baited
I'm not impersonating unty, it's just self awareness
I am the unty in this situation
it's a meme, plain and simple
I seriously can't decide if I like it, hate it, or just pretend that I like it.
>this is coming from someone who listens to abrasive high intensity music constantly
you're lying
The only frequency thing that I would remove is the beginning of Alvin Row. Spirit They've Vanished, April And The Phantom, and Untitled are all fine as they are, but the minute of screeching that starts off Alvin Row is just unnecessary
This is a meme, right?
This album might not be easy listening but even mbv is more aggressive.
>I am the unty in this situation
Whoa it just get deep in here
Unty is a part of us all
Lol
the untitled track is the best song on the album dumbass
>tfw this album has given me hearing loss from listening to it so many times
