Why does Sup Forums pretend that Queen isn't patrician?
I honestly hate Queen
Now I see what Mick Jagger was thinking
Queen I, Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack, A Night at the Opera, and A Day at the Races are some of the best rock albums ever recorded.
Their later stuff solidified them as sports intercom-core for the rest of eternity.
freddie mercury is a good singer
the good things about queen end there
because they weren't very good songwriters in the end
sparks did queen before queen did queen, and did it better imo. Queen just did it with a lot more glam, wow, & showmanship + the power of Freddie Mercury's sheer voice.
Sparks weren't as good as early Queen. Sparks fared better as a New Wave band.
>implying Brian May alone isn't better than the entirity of Queen
Because they don't have any actual good albums that stand the test of time. I mean, they put out fifteen albums for Christ's sake, yet they barely had enough actual quality there to scrape together one best-of compilation
The certainly do have a best of compilation, or many. And A Night at the Opera will at least be remembered as a better-than-great album.
they're good enough that I can bond with my father in law talking about their music
This.
>Because they don't have any actual good albums that stand the test of time.
Write a review of Queen II so we can all laugh at you.
>Queen I
>Good
it was trash desu, they hadn't found their sound yet
The rest are great though
Wrong. A Night at the Opera is incredible and A Day at the Races is almost just as great.
Most who thinks Queen is shit have obviously only heard their hits.
Sup Forums is too hung up on shit acts like death grips to acknowledge classic rock. also the arena rock songs like we will rock you, another bites the dust, and we are the champions are huge turn offs for people to explore their discography.
I've been listening to almost nothing except for Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy for the past three days.
A Night at the Opera and then their Greatest Hits are the only things worth listening to tbfh.
Queen is 9GAG-core.
>Queen I, Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack, A Night at the Opera, and A Day at the Races are some of the best rock albums ever recorded.
Agreed on these, but once you get into the 80s I feel like they're too focused on gimmicks and the music doesn't hold up as well on its own.
Queen II - ADATR are all solid
News of the World - The Game have their moments
Hot Space is really where it starts to go downhill desu senpai
Because Sparks did everything Queen did well better, and before them. Their not bad, their just like most good mainstream artists, a more accessible version of an originally abstract idea.
9gag is irrelevant
dog. how do you even know what 9gag core is?
Queen falls under the same umbrella as bands like Led Zeppelin. They aren't necessarily bad, but they've been so overhyped and overplayed for so many years that most people here don't care to sit down and listen to them. There's some Queen songs that about make me kill myself if I hear them at this point because I've heard the same shit for years
SO HERE'S THE THING ABOUT FREDDIE
>Why does Sup Forums pretend that Queen isn't patrician?
Contrarianism fueled by immaturity and angst.
"We will rock you" the song needs to get shot.
jagger is shit compared to mercury
this.
Some songs have been overplayed to death to the point where I don't want to listen to them anymore.
However bohemian rhapsody will always be great
The song writting of the band isnt that of impressive. Yeah, Bohemian Rapsody is very unique, but all the other song are just, bland.
Its appealling because the opera influences make them sound complex, but the really dont play with the structures of the songs. They are just pop/rock song, with piano and strings.
>The part where Roger Taylor comes in on March of the Black Queen
Their best songs are sadly the ones that people seem to pass off in favor of overplayed tripe like most of their hits.

I would be perfectly ok with retiring that song forever along with Bohemian Rhapsody, Crazy Train, Welcome to the Jungle, Thunderstruck, Sweet Child of Mine, etc. Basically all football game-core needs to be erased from the world's mind ASAP
It's literally boring cock rock with shit tier wannabe wank solos.
Because plenty of Anons have posted countless screencaps of idiots on 9gag sucking Queen's cock.
Fuck ACDC unless I really choose to listen to them. Bohemian Rhapsody I'll keep, and Sweet Child kind of if there was no/limited vocals. And Crazy Train is alright I havent heard that one so much as the others.
Or maybe it's because most of us have heard a little too much Queen over the course of our lives and we're sick of the shit.
It's about as entry-level classic rock you can get. Nobody wants to waste time talking about shit like that when they can be discussing and discovering new things that they haven't heard a billion times.
While he's balls deep in your ass?
i have not seen these screen caps user.
Because you're a newfag.
I guess I just hate some of those because I have to be in the marching band at my uni and I hear that shit on a weekly basis
Brian May was the best thing about the band. And that's really saying something considering Freddie's voice.
>because I have to be in the marching band at my uni
Enjoy never have sex, ever.
ehh it's not too bad because I go to a small uni and there's only like three weird kids that actually enjoy being in it. I'm involved with enough shit to not be labeled as one of the weird band kids
I saw this thread and remembered when CLT said he was going to force Queen as the next "patrician" band, and came into this thread with high expectations.
He's really gone, isn't he ?
no they don't exist.
This
Prophets Song is also one of their best tracks IMO
It couldn't be more obvious you haven't actually listened to these albums. I can love without Sweet Lady on ANATO, but other than that, it's an epic experimental masterpiece (if you honestly don't like Seaside Rendezvous or Good Company, get away from me). ADATR is more hit and miss. Though Millionaire Waltz is one of their most underrated songs, IMO.
I liked Jazz.
Same bro. Not great, but a nice casual listen for sure

I like Queen but have never listened to any of their albums all the way through :^)
But this is a fucking fantastic song which I will always love and will always make me smile. Kickass video too.
I don't fuck with Queen cause I'm sick of hearing their shit mainstream songs blasted at me everywhere like a loaded cock
Everything from the first album to Jazz is GOAT! Everything between The Game and Innuendo is filler. Innuendo could've been their triumphant come back album if Freddy hadn't died of A.I.D.S. after it came out. Just as they were rediscovering what made them so great in the beginning.......... sad really. :'-(
It's a backlash against how overrated Queen are by plebs
Make a good Queen album of 10-15 songs
Nah, I'm not a huge fan of either myself, but I'd say Zeppelin are on a different level
>However bohemian rhapsody will always be great
Wat, Bohemian Rhapsody is the epitome of "overplayed to death to the point where I don't want to listen to them anymore"
I didn't mind the song at first but I can't fucking stand it now.
Queen is garbage. If only Freddie never met Brian May who held him back. He could've been so much greater.
>Sweet Child kind of if there was no/limited vocals
Is there a no vocal version of Appetite for Destruction? That might actually be palatable
Because they haven't listened to this 10/10 hypothetical LP.
1. Death On Two Legs
2. Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon
3. You Take My Breath Away
4. The Millionaire Waltz
5. Seaside Rendezvous
6. Somebody To Love
7. Love Of My Life
8. Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy
9. Bohemian Rhapsody
brian may wasnt that good, he was good, better than alot of famous guitarists, but not great
his solo in we will rock you ruins the song. the songs a marching anthem and he goes for a friendly little happy solo it totally throws off the feeling of the song
>overplayed for so many years that most people here don't care to sit down and listen to them
just like classical music
Awful opinion.
