Who would you rather have as your producer?
Who would you rather have as your producer?
Who are the guys who aren't Rick Rubin?
this
Max Martin for sure. He's a god damn genius.
David Guetta and that Jagger guy from the Rolling Stones
Who on the right?
I thought they all are Rick Rubin
maybe a genius at the concepts of ubiquity and marketing, but not a musical one. he has so much potential but holy shit his music is annoying.
I like his work a lot. Pop's simplicity and catchiness are not as easily achieved as people think. I find a lot of hard work and talent behind pop records, but that's just me.
no no i absolutely agree i just think his shit is annoying lol
Any of them that aren't Rick Rubin
u know whats up
>Pop's simplicity and catchiness are not as easily achieved as people think
really?
Tony Visconti.
Guetta is trash. Max Martin is alright. I'll go with Rick since he's got RHCP, SOAD and the Beastie Boys under his belt.
Or this. This is much better.
I wanna see you, or your favorite """musicians""" come up with a multi platinum hit song.
i really believe i could. I just don't know if i'm shameless enough.
As if any semi-good musician couldn't come up with All About that Bass, but just didn't want to stoop so low?
marketing + industry standard production = pop hit
only a cursory amount of musicality required
Albini
Alan Moore?
Mhmmmmmm
yeah you know so much lmao
I dont think so.
I play 4 instruments, have an IQ of 140, know some music theory and still have not managed to write Katy Perry tier hooks. If it would be easy then everyone would do it.
yeah that's a really good argument lmao sure showed me lol
The KLF did exactly that and treated the entire thing as a joke
Steve Albini
>having a producer
It's another episode of mu/ doesn't make a hit coz they don't want to
To be honest, Taylor Swift is much better at that than her.
if anyone on mu hired max martin they could make a hit
After reading his wiki page I'm starting to believe
But both of their most famous songs were written by Max Martin.
>wanting to be under Rick Rubin's belt
ENO
>popularity=talent
