Did this yesterday.
>larger vocabulary than a native speaker
lmao
Did this yesterday
8 inches
I even majored STEM not English
...
...
29000 something by cheating, heh
Pretty sure I just guessed some right. Those words went from simple to "never seen this any of these in my life" real quick.
>tfw too smart for Sup Forums
>speak Finnish natively
>get pic related as a result
the fuck
t.
A couple I got simply because I knew what every other word meant aside from the correct one.
Eikö se eka kysymys ollutkin jo ihan mitä vittua tasoa? ''elävä'' muka sama kuin ''rakkaus''??
Juuh...
jtp en tienny suurinta osaa niistä lopuista sanoista, enkä kyllä oo koskaan nähnytkään
shit test
Not shocking. I knew all those words from high school but at the same time I dont know what they meant at the end. What the fuck is jujuay or however it is spelled.
Ite sain 4000 jotain
how much more CHI can you get than this?
Please don't tell me you speak Spanish and have since birth.
I'm actually a 25 year old NEET.
...
Fuck off cheater. Stop ruining a fun thread.
Fuck I hate New Zealanders on the internet
Literally my English Voc Test results
How the fuck could non-anglos have such good results (more than 20 000)? I mean I understand most of these words, but I just can't find the synonyms or the antonyms after let's say ~30 words
arealme.com
What did you get here?
arealme.com
Do this one next
Hmm... kinda expected.
Still my English pronunciation, grammar and spelling are a disgrace.
I guessed half of them and got over 20000, I guess either luck or just indicative reasoning
either way I didn't have any idea as to what half of the words meant
Last time I tried I got only 5K words, just like this funny Finnish guy Seriously, it's hard af, it's not "what is the synonym of love/far/easy"
Yea, I'm not really lucky.
Sorry inductive reasoning or whatever
Ihan helvetin absurdeja kysymyksiä ja sanoja joita ei tietäisi tietämälläkään. Rakkauden synonyymi on, Elävä?
Joo ton testin on kyllä tehny Auti Ismi
It's probably because the tests in other languages look to be almost identical translations of English. As to how accurate the translations are, and how similar the languages are to English...
yes id and i have
Maybe those who created this test expected a lot of non-anglos to test it and thus started with a lot of easy questions.
Honestly, I always found english an easier language.
>
south brazilian?
Yep.
There was some page up on how it was done. I dunno what happened to it.
They analysed a whole lot of literature, and found how frequent words appeared. They then extrapolated as to how many words one might know based on how often a word appeared, I think.
The thing is, the words are going to be different in any language; you can't just take the English words, and translate them.
Nevermind, I was thinking of this:
pls no bully
thats around the age I moved to a city that had higher population of white people so I spoke spanish much less
Hmmm, I guess the memes are true then.
i guessed a few
Nothing wrong with that user. You can always learn it to a really fluent level one day. You have the advantage of having people around you to speak it.
I got 22500
I think most of you guys cheated
Try reading Lovecraft a bunch and do it again.
t.
im planning on improving because i visited mexico early this year and i always had trouble expressing myself correctly when I tried to go to topics i usually dont talk about in spanish felt like an idiot 2bh
Do you write and speak in Spanish everyday? That is what I have been doing.
I actually guessed some answers, because I've literally never come across the words.
I think a couple of you are full of shit. Even as someone who does a lot of reading, some of those words are the sort of word that turn up once every 50 books. Maybe if you have some sort of literature masters but otherwise you cheated.
I speak everyday but it usually the same phrases and topics everyday so my vocabulary never expands. I don't really watch spanish tv because I hate novelas and I don't know what to read that would be my level
R9
5600
try to read some teenage novel shit like the hunger game or whatever. It is shit but gets the job done. I checked it out in the library, and other than every few words, I understand it. I also read difficult shit to like a book on the history of Cuba so that I can learn difficult translations too. Also, the newspaper is a good source too online since most of them are made so that people with low education can read them. That and just studying a few hours or at least 45 to 1hr a day will help you. Since you already are semi fluent, I think books for high schoolers will work. Just ask the liberarian at your local library for the section for school kids in middle school and up, and advance. I will say the Harry Potter books(depends) and Charlotte's web will be good as a start.
Dont worry. I am on the same boat. I can understand written spanish but suck at speaking it. Anyway, te deseo suerte, user.
I'll try rereading some books but translated into spanish . Thanks man good luck to you too
wtf
Fuck, i thought I was much better. I can speak english perfectly without any grammar mistaken, but damn, this is underwhelming
Can you translate "kurva anyátok" into english?
Learning french right now, I think it overestimated a bit, I dont think I even know 3000 words
Kurva = whore
Anyátok = your (plural) moms
Basically kurva anyátok is an insult literally meaning your whore mom.
It is the hungarian version of you sons of bitches
Oh i thought it was 'hungary general' or like that.
Ahaha not even close, we always have just kurva anyátok and a fruit. That's our hungary general in our special way
My tip is similar to his, whenever you can, consume media in the language you want to expand your vocabulary on.
But additionally, to practice your fluency, I recommend thinking in said language, that will do wonders since you have nobody to speak the language to on a day to day basis.
I guess it's the same as "Kurwa mać" in Polish or "eb tvoyu mat'" in Russian.
i had to guess on a couple based on prefixes and suffixes
probably should read more
Should be an "idk" option so people don't get lucky.
How is it supposed to be hard? this is some meme test. i need to check english one if it is as shit as this one was.
That's inference rather than guessing, imo.
I think I did alright
