So I've just finished out tidying my Attic and came across this Lil Gem. I'm about to play The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind for the first time. What should I expect?
So I've just finished out tidying my Attic and came across this Lil Gem...
Cliff Racers
A good game
Picture with game in your hand and time stamp or you are a lying newfag
slow walks on the beach
Lots of reading
Bugs that make you get stuck at a particular point in the main quest
Retarded NPC's
Cliff Racers
The Blight
Still the best game ever made imho
...
:)
Own this on my first xbox and the graphics probably shit on most of the games out now. Still havent finished it yet
This
Oblivion beta
Dated graphics, swinging a weapon at something right in front of you and missing, cliff racers. The mechanics are great and very breakable. Great example of what games were before they dumbed everything down for consoletards who can't compute without having their hands held. It's the best ES game if you can look past how dated it is. There's a great graphics overhaul mod that makes it look great though.
It's 2016 so you might have weird ideas about graphics and gameplay but this is an amazing game.
1. Definitely do the main quest before thinking about giving up
2. be smart with which skills to pick. Wanna succeed in killing things with a sword? PICK A SWORD
3. Telvanni house is the best house
4. Pick up the goddam plate in the first building. Pick it up and drop it before they talk to you. Then, pick it up again
5. Enjoy EVERYTHING
Actually, I was considering replaying it today. Funny coincidence.
>bugs
What bugs? Its Bethesda so it HAS to have them but nothing gamebreaking.
YOU N'WAH!
This 100% it's dated now without the overhauls but such an outstanding game. Really is the best of the series
well you'r going to lose your life
Watch the skies, outlander.
the graphics overhaul is playable now ?
if yes this might be a good opportunity to finish this wonderful game once again
god just talking about it makes me want to open its case once again.
no mana regen
>install MW
>patch and get the .exes working

A stormy night that won't wake you from your slumber.
Do yourself a favour and use this.
moddb.com
over rated trash
Don't forget the grand master alchemy set in Bruma's alchemy shop.
Enter, turn right, hug the left wall, sneak up and check the left wooden box.
>babby's first troll
I'm not trolling, it isn't good.
Huh. I didn't know about this and I'm pretty knowledge about Morrowind
I'm actually surprised with Morrowind. I've played it more times than either Skyri or Oblivion but I've never learned all about it yet. I know EVERYTHING about Oblivion and Skyrim but not everything about Morrowind.
I think this thread will make me reinstall it. I've never beat the expansions unfortunately.
Not getting laid, that's for sure.
>Bruma
>Morrowind
if you have something interesting to say about morrowind's quality please do
>dumb little kid is still trying
First day on Sup Forums, eh?
the combat is horrible
I assume he meant Balmora
>visit a cousin's house
>tells me not to play KOTOR2
>gives me Morrowind on a CD to play when I go home
Thanks, cuz. Opened a lot of great things with that. But you were wrong, KOTOR2 was fucking great
>something interesting
well there is nothing interesting about morrowind.
Its like Skyrim, but without all the voice acting, combat is way less satisfying early on (you have to earn it) and the stat system isnt made for retards. Also, the black dudes kick ass starting out in Morrowind
This one of the best games ever.
Two things though. First, firsttimers will be lost at the beginning
Two. This map is FUCKING HUGE. Get ready to spend hours walking
The most overrated TES/FO game after New Vegas.
Or Caldera Mages Guild, top of the spiral stairs in teh back
Find a better rpg.
Overhyped garbage that only nostalgiafags like
ok kiddo, I think you've proven you have nothing to say, you can now fuck off
>2016
>thinks playing video games and being a nerd wont get you laid
get with the times
>This map is fucking huge
>The smallest main series Elder Scrolls map
Also, Beast races cant wear helms or boots in Morrowind.
I just made an Argonian like 2 days ago (i torrented for pc) and have to settle for a mostly complete set of ebony armor... Its mostly for show... after I reach a certain level of power, i just make a spell for absorb health 100 for 10s and max area and just start going from town to town exterminating everyone who ever called me "Outlander". I usually spare Ajira
I fooled around with a lot of RPGs back in the day, KOTOR being a personal Fave. I was never a huge 'Fantasy' RPG Fan, Skyrim changed that. I'm sure I'll enjoy this a whole lot too then!
Yeah, haha! The map is huge!!
>calling someone a kiddo when you play the most "kiddo" rpg series.
kill you are self
Any good person who wants to give me a game of my wish list, no matter if the cheapest or the most expensive, the intention is what counts
steamcommunity.com
Morrowind is by far the worst TES game.
>Shit Graphics
>Shit Questing
>Shit Voice acting
>Shit landscape
>Shit Combat
>Shit setting
>Shit inventory
>Shit Running speed
>Shit Storyline
> running speed
That alone killed it for me. I got bored in 15 mins
>skill based
>used longswords half of the game
>got good
>switched to ebony shortsword
>miss 70%
>got good
>try out magic for dagoth ur
>fail 90%
>got good
>can now levitate and shoot fireballs
>poor prisoner
>got good
>now nerevarine with 600 skoomas in my pockets
God, I love how this game nuanced this game progression could get. Whatever happened to Bethesda after Toddy took over?
do you know this feeling when you're embarrassed for someone else ?
>Worst
>Arena
gg.
Its definitely a game for people who grew up with it (it was an original xbox release game, and had a review run in Toonami, back when it was on weekdays, and without violence, swearing, and when Goku had to spend 4 days talking to someone before fighting them) but considering it was free, you cant beat the value...
Times sure have changed, Son.
Skyrim is fun because of the pretty colors and "Dragon spells" and shit. Morrowind was fun because you had to earn what you had.
He loves the game. He's just being contrarian for the attention he couldn't earn in real life..
is Sup Forums a time machine? how did you go forward 30 years in the future?
sure pal.
>he thinks this is a discussion or a debate
>he keeps replying to me
Just got to level 27(ish) yesterday. Havent even started main quest
well that's what you're looking for isn't it ? someone to reply to you, someone to finally acknowledge your existence. Doesn't matter if it's just online, only to contradict or belittle you.
Don't worry dude, you're not alone and we feel you.
But seriously fuck of to >>>r9k
I've been playing Morrowind this whole year because my more modern GPU melted while browsing dank memes.
Here's my experience so far
>Played daggerfall, oblivion, skyrim and online
>starts morrowind
>same story as always; prison bitch escapes
>no fast travel, only carawan monsters
>no map markers, you have to use roadsigns
>no quest log, only a diary that saves the dialogue you had with people
>quest system basically requires you to find out what you're doing yourselfes
>start traveling and die on every monster because hit quotes are shit
>meet nord in underwear
>new companion
>meet trader in boots
>second companion
>get stuck in mushroom house and can't find exit
>finally find xit
>visit main imperial outpost in morrowind
>go to prison
>open all doors
>kill and rob prison guard of basically the harshest prison ingame
>loot is worth ~2000
>guard confronts me
>I give him the 100 reward money
>1900 money for free
>companions got killed by guards while they were still stuck in mushroom village
>get lost
>travel to last area of game
>suddenly my stats decrease and I can't carry my 144 ebonore anymore
>look on internet; apparently I need to find a shrine and get rid of a curse that the game doesn't tell me about
>eat 100 ebonore from my inventory to save space
>run around endgame areas for next two hours
>get extremely buff but still cursed
>find village
>find shrine
>fuckyes
In conclusion:
It's like an egglike with alot of effort put into it
It can be fun if you have a lot of time
But I don't think it's the best in the series
agree
But even with all that morrowind is full of mistery and adventure, and like all elder scrolls games it's definetly worth playing. You have to play it to understand it's weird ass beauty.
off by one nigga
>the attention he couldn't earn in real life
...
what is going on in this gif?
