watch Goodfellas (objectively a great film but not my favourite DeNiro or Scorsese film) when Joe Pesci gets kiled it kind of takes you out of the film considering his talent for method acting

if you take out Eastwood's westerns his filmography is far less impressive (as an actor at least). Obviously many of them are really great movies, but he plays basically the same character in all of them except for maybe Unforgiven.

I got in an hour into Goodfellas and turned it off, does it get any better? Does Ray Liotta's voice get any less irritating?
