What is Disney trying to accomplish here...

What is Disney trying to accomplish here? They started with Tron 2 and now every Marvel movie needs a "young cameo" of some sorts. Is this the first sign of immortality for actors?

they have the tech to make actors look young with cgi (worked ehhhhh for tron, ehhhh for ant man, but it got quite better in civil war) so they're using it when they need it, as simple as that

>mfw i look like young RDJ
will i become a sex symbol when i get older?

I don't watch those movies, but the technology seems very impressive.

How tall are you?

6'2

>You're face when you realize the Jews will be able to use digitally rendered dead actors and singers in the future.
>And they won't have to pay anyone anything

What movie is the young RDJ from?

>will i become a sex symbol
You won't. Try to be shorter, much more shorter.

It really is impressive. It's a bit noticeable if you're looking closely, but you won't really notice the errors when you're watching the movie.

Civil War.

Would probably be totally unnoticeable on a lesser known actor, provided vfx has enough references for a younger appearance. Looks unnatural now because viewers are primed to notice the alteration due to the actors' age and notoriety.

>everyone has a bad hairpiece : the webm

Was Downey touted as a sex symbol? I mostly remember him as a big time drug addict and alcoholic who cleaned up and got a second chance.

Robert?

What? Civil War did have a CGI young Tony cameo, but he wasn't wearing glasses or a suit, did I miss something?

Can't wait for general Tarkin. Shit's gonna be insane yo

>RDJ
>sex symbol

wait what, where's the right picture from? Wasn't in Civil War

they fucked up with Tron 2. Young Flynn looks terrible

It feels like they are getting much better at it. Downey jr's young version was more convincing than Douglas' (maybe because he's younger in real life but who knows).

what's the context of bringing back 90's RDJ?

That's because it isn't from civil war

That looks like a creepy CGI muppet and not like prime Douglas.

If I were human I'd like to see myself young again too, wouldn't you?

RDJ looked even younger in Civil war

>general

During Civil War, Tony created a device that let him create room-sized holographic replica playthroughs (with sound) of his memories. A particular "favourite" of his is the last day he saw his parents alive which happened in 1991.

>things that wouldn't have happened if they had this technology in the 80s

...

Not at all. If you want to see a creepy CGI puppet, go watch Tron Legacy.

I still liked it there. The only time I thought it was creepy was X-Men 3.

I think young Michael Douglas looked better than RDJ in Civil War desu

On Jimmy Kimmel RDJ said they had a physical actor play him young, look it up.

Michael Douglas looked great desu. He was supposed to be older than your picture.

For the body, sure.

> Marvel is just preparing to prequelize/clone all of its characters younger with CGI for Phases 4 to 399

This is a bit of excuse making but wasn't the guy in Tron SUPPOSED to look creepy as hell?

The whole "uncanny valley" thing was an important part of his character

It's not an excuse if you found that it fit the narrative.

But the scenes where it was actually meant to be Jeff Bridges made him look creepy as well. It's not intentional.

>They did it too times
>THEY ARE FORCING IT ON EVERY MOVIE

The ride never ends.

It seemed gimmicky in both movies.

LMAO, that chin is completely off.

yeah i'd buy that if the scene with young Flynn didn't look weird as hell

actually fooled me in the theater desu. Didn't keep up or have any knowledge of Antman (besides Rudd) and I somehow Douglas just slipped my mind entirely and I was pretty convince. I am very happy with where this technology is headed

>Is this the first sign of immortality for actors?
They'll still die. But in some circumstances their images will be duplicated and reused indefinitely, sure.

No he made some comment about how it was weird seeing the actor who looks like him. I havent seen the movie though.

it's still inherently creepy, something about the way the face moves is unnatural

i will still do an older agent carter

>marvel will never cease to exist

Marvel and even Disney aren't alone in this.

That looked nothing like the real young RDJ.

You're fucking with me, right? I'm not even into capeshit and it amazes me.

>as long as they source the images from movies they already own the rights to, they will be fine

wow it is going to be insane

It's those massive tits.

Impressive.

>mfw

>you will never live long enough to see a porno where Audrey and Katherine Hepburn pretend to be sisters and lez out.

You notice something eerie going on, but can't place it without being told.

I think the actors appreciate looking that young again.

>tfw they changed almost nothing on Patrick

Sure?

wew

Peggy looks like Heidi Alexander

i think they're also just doing it because it's fun.

I hope this technology would give access to real life Rule 34.

>VR porn with famous faces

SOON

Looks like Amy Schumer in a couple years.

They're testing the grounds now. Lola VFX + performance capture is helluva drug.

Oh and ressurrecting dead celebrities too. SOON.

You first need to become billionaire philanthropist playboy

Wew lad, he was a fine motherfucker

in 360 VR glasses

It looked great in Civil War, but at the same time your fucking brain is telling you something isn't right because he is old irl so you spend the entire time trying to see the flaws or CGI.

It's weird how you aren't allowed to use someone's intellectual property after they die but you can apparently use their face however the fuck you like.

When are they going to start using that CGI to make more Arnold movies?

2009.

that looked like shit, but then again the whole movie was shit

It'll keep happening mate

Genisys had better CGI Arnold.

This is gonna be interesting.

>Paramount's comeback begins with using dead actors and actresses from their archive
>Everybody else tries to copy it
>Sony Columbia is still bottom of the pack

Mickey Mouse is worth more than any one face apparently.

RDJ looks just like he did in Soapdish.

nice job carrot top
