How much of a role does the RAN play in stopping refugees?
Does the Czech Republic have a riverine force?

You missed our carriers though.

Sweet

You kidding m8? If they had won we would have lost our invasion of the Philippines.

To be fair, it's mostly Germany's fault for bleeding so much money away from the UK in World War 1.

now that's a proper fucking battle
>outnumbered in ships of the line
>0 british ships lost
>21 enemy ships lost
>13:1 casualty ratio
are nel

Still, pretty historic. I'd imagine there are monuments to the fall of Singapore there.

Nelson was a proppa lad.
Would he approve of Midway?

Yeah, too bad the brits were still acting all cocky and mighty then

our fault for entering the war tbf

also your fault for rebelling tbf, imagine a world where the colonies stayed and received autonomy like canada

the sole superpower would be an Imperial Federation with one Imperial Parliament stretching across the globe

americas population density would also be ten times lower and a lot comfier

[ cries in anglo ]

>the sole superpower would be an Imperial Federation
Anti-imperialism was a mistake

Too bad anglos greatest rivals are other anglos ;^)

Now China's GDP is rapidly increasing and looks like it might surpass America in the coming century

>tfw china will never again be the punching bag we all agreed to team up on

China's navy is still drastically outmatched by ours though.

>tfw we will beat China but bleed ourselves dry in the process
If our empire fades, who will take up our sword?

>Japan is the only one cunt that bombed the US mainland

>Indian Ocean raid
I never knew this was a thing.

Defeated the combined French and English fleet.

Yeah, that was the high-water mark of the Japs in the west.
Check out the Bombardment of Madras in WW1 if you care, or just the German East Asia Squadron in general.

>tfw we are now Britain in 1914

you are very strong, but i'd advise you to look at these two maps

Also, invaded the UK with a fleet twice the Spanish armada.

...

>tfw losing British India means we are hopelessly behind in the population race
The Raj could have held back the Chinese forever...

Raped turks in their ports

In the Netherlands we have children songs about capturing the Spanish fleet that transported lots of cash.

>Nobuo Fujita (1911 – 30 Sep 1997) was a Warrant Flying Officer of the Imperial Japanese Navy who flew a floatplane from the long-range submarine aircraft carrier I-25, and conducted the only wartime aircraft-dropped bombing on the contiguous United States of America, which became known as the Lookout Air Raid

They have a kick ass navy and a God given right to sea access.

Puttering about on a fucking lake does not give them the right to dismember Chile.

N-no!

literally our greatest naval "achievement"

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Kaliakra_(1912)

Turning point of Paraguayan War

>Barroso, at this time heading upstream, decided to turn the tide of the battle with a desperate measure. The first ship that faced Amazonas was the Paraguarí which was rammed and put out of action.[4] Then he rammed Marquez de Olinda and Salto, and sank a "chata".
Absolute madman

not really fair is it tho

I wonder what South America would have looked like today if Paraguay would have won the war.

OP asked about the best thing our navy has done. Best thing != fair thing

Also,

They wanted these lands:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Territorial_disputes_in_the_Platine_region_in_1864.svg
I guess they'd be a bit richer, but not enough to shoulder Argentina, Brazil, Chile...

Weren't all those lands, except for the northern bit of the Chaco, Paraguayan already?

>I guess they'd be a bit richer, but not enough to shoulder Argentina, Brazil, Chile...
Paraguay was the richest, strongest, most developped country in South America.

>85% of paraguays male population died over some random clay disputes

>Paraguay was the richest, strongest, most developped country in South America.

I feel for them. They were based. Based Paraguay.

There's no time like the present.

>Paraguay was the richest, strongest, most developped country in South America.
No, no and no.
Solano López was a madman and threw his country in a war he couldn't win.

>I feel for them. They were based. Based Paraguay.
It might disturb you that UK helped Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay to defeat Paraguay...

Because Argentina, Brazil and the Brazilian proxy that was Uruguay had completely blocked Paraguay in an effort to isolate them from the world and bleed them dry. Solano Lopez could either do nothing and lose or he could risk a war.

>IoM
Definitely annihilating the heretics over Cadia

The Emperor Protects brother

No.
Brazil was the first country to recognize Paraguayan independence from Argentina and helped it with military aid. However, having to use Rio de la Plata as communication between Mato Grosso and Rio de Janeiro (there were no roads linking then by the time), Paraguay government saw an opportunity and created problems regarding our ships.

Also, Brazil was attacked first.

i love you japan

Actually the UK is part of the Americasphere now

>having to use Rio de la Plata as communication between Mato Grosso and Rio de Janeiro
You mean Brazilian ships went all the way down to Uruguay to sail on the Paraguay river passing Asunción? Damn.

But anyway, as I understand it, both Brazil and Argentina wanted to be the sole regional power in South America, however there was a thorn in both their sides, Paraguay. So they decided to team up on Paraguay and get rid of their common rival. As I understand it, relations between the three of these were sour as can be. And then Brazil topples Paraguay's only ally in Uruguay, in order to control the Rio de la Plata. I'm not suprised Paraguay didn't roll out a red carpet for Brazilian ships.

>Also, Brazil was attacked first.
It was a preemptive attack.

Bump

>>Japan is the only one cunt that bombed the US mainland
