The Hound is one of the most underrated fighters in Westeros, it all comes down to because everyone thinks of him as a thug while every other known 'great' fighters are knights (Hound hates knights)

In Robert's tourney, Mountian had all intention to kill the Hound when they fought while the Hound never actually fought back but instead parried all the Mountain's attack

a charcter even noticed that Hound had all the chances to strike a killing blow but he didnt took it

it sucks that autists love Stannis because without the memes he's actually a very interesting and tragic character

I don't think you understand the purpose of blunt weapons. It's to deform the armor around the body and crush it. Blunt weaponry turns the advantage of plate into a disadvantage.
