Why don't British artists like the members of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, etc. sound like they've got British accents on their albums?

They do, you're just retarded

They do, you're just retarded

Because Americans invented singing, so to show their appreciation, all the limeys sound like their superior little brother America

They do, you're just retarded

It's not like any kind of British I've ever heard.

singing was invented by Louis Armstrong in 1910

because you've heard only modern british dialects which all sound like garbage

I've watched a bunch of old British-made movies. Older than any of the bands I've listed. They still don't sound the same as the people from the bands.

They're trying to sound like American negroes, especially Mick Jagger.

Because america is a FAR LARGER market but also extremely casually xenophobic, it's remarkably hard to get the average american to consume media that appears to be foreign, yes britain is "foreign".

If you're a brit and you want to make it in the US markets, you need to either get extremely lucky and use your brit-ness as your hook OR you need to hide it as well as you can.

The latter works far better than the former.

then listen to local English music, not to rock'n'roll

But I'm talking about rock'n'roll, not some gay as fuck local English music.

literally black music
enjoy your aids

Literally?

>tfw watching oasis life
>song ends so Liam starts small talk
>eerhghghhrh hishaffiashfaisahdfash okay? don't think so eeeeerhgfheeeeeeeeh
>this one's called Live Forever
>Live Forever stats playing

Because you sing with the back of your throat.

Most English accents are spoken with the front of your mouth.

probably to give their music universal appeal

This is the closest actual answer. The American 'slack-jawed' dialect is a result of much more relaxed vowel sounds which are naturally adopted when singing. If you hear someone singing in a distinctly English accent, they're putting it on.

>pink floyd
Nigga have you heard Syd Barrett?

Okay maybe Pink Floyd isn't the best example.
